ok ive been wondering what raj does im pretty sure they never come out and say it but here is what i know

1. he works at the university with them because he eats lunch with them some times
2. sheldon could make a simple program to replace him
3. his father wants him to be a gynocologist

He's an astrophysicist. I can't remember which ep. off hand, but it was mentioned once.
