When is too early to start Christmas?
It might just be me but it seems every year the stores, sales people, etc, are starting Christmas earlier ... its November 2nd and I've been seeing Christmas ads for two weeks now, thats almost 10 weeks before Christmas!
I'd have thought they'd atleast wait for Halloween to go, but they didn't ... they were selling pumpkins and Santa costumes side by side! Maybe its just because I leave the shopping until the last minute, meaning I have to live through 9 weeks of annoying Christmas jingles until I finally just buy the stuff. |

RE: When is too early to start Christmas?
I refuse to decorate or buy for Christmas until December 1st. Halloween and Thanksgiving deserve just as much celebration. Seems anymore people forget all about Thanksgiving.

RE: When is too early to start Christmas?
I think mid-December is quite fair, these 2 month sales are getting ridicolos.

RE: When is too early to start Christmas?
I went to the grocery store yesterday, and they already had up a Christmas Tree and snowflake decorations, and even a giant inflatable Santa. This is getting ridiculous. At least they waited until AFTER Halloween.

RE: When is too early to start Christmas?
The actual Christmas trees and lights have been up in my town centre since mid-October, albeit not switched on. But I agree, it's becoming more and more commercial and meaningless.
