Won't give it all away, but basically Sheldon decides to do everything he can to keep Leonard and Stephanie together on the assumption that Leonard is going to blow it (based on his previous track record). Trouble is, Sheldon's absurd attempts to meddle seem to be having the opposite effect and are driving Stephanie away.

Can I say I absolutely love Jim Parsons. New favorite line is "Not a snowball's chance in a CAT-Scanner." Icon_eek Did wish Sara Rue had more interactions with Sheldon. Overall I found the episode really funny but they could have had just a smidge less Sheldon and a bit more Raj and Wolowitz.

RE: Episode 2.09 (Nov 24th)
We have some information on the ratings of last night's episode. The show placed second, behind ABC's Dancing with the Stars, with a 6.0/9 rating. How I Met Your Mother, which follows, pulled a slightly lower rating with 5.9/9.

Two and a Half Men continued the night with a 2nd place, but huge, 8.9/13 rating. Worst Week lead out of Two and a Half Men with a 6.0/9, retaining only 67% of Men's audience.

Why did they name this episode The White Asparagus Triangulation? Icon_confused

Dean: Hey Sam, who do you think is the hotter psychic? Patricia Arquette, Jennifer Love Hewitt, or you?

RE: Episode 2.09 (Nov 24th)
The jar Sheldon tried to get Leonard to open held white asparagus. Triangulation refers to the fact that Leonard and Stephanie became a three-way relationship when Sheldon kept inserting himself into it.
Penny was superb in this episode. Every moment between her and Sheldon was a delight, from the off-balance 'You're freakin' me out' at the beginning all the way to her slamming the door in Sheldon's face when he asked about her menstrual cycle right after apologising for 'crossing a line' in their previous conversation. Kaley's facial expressions through all of this are spot on, the perfect counterpoint to Jim's slightly-fanatic rambles. That relationship is one of the highlights of the show right now.
