  1. Winter TV Spoilers 2015 THE BIG BANG THEORY Although EP Steve Molaro says the writers "aren't in a rush for a Leonard and Penny wedding," upcoming episodes will dive into the finer points of their engagement -- specifically, "future living arrangements regarding Sheldon." Also in the next batch of episodes: a tribute to Carol Ann Susi, the late actress who voiced Wolowitz's mother. ("The death of Carol will be dealt with," Molaro says. "We just needed time to process the loss of our friend.") As for Sheldon and Amy's slow-burn relationship, there are no immediate plans for the twosome to tackle another milestone after the L-word was dropped in November. "We are discovering the show, the relationships, the problems, as we go along," Molaro says. "It's more a discovery process than a planning one." http://tvline.com/gallery/tv-spoilers-2015-season-premieres-photos/#!3/winterpreview_bigbangtheory/

  3. They already do regular kissing, so they can continue that without setting any new precedents. But when we finally get to see one, even a peck, we'll know they're doing it while aware that they both love eachother.

  7. I expect we'll see (to no one's surprise) that no matter how often Howard put down his mother and wished for her death, he truly did love her and will miss her now that she's gone. And I'm still pulling for "Debbie's Comics Corner." Perhaps this is the episode where we'll see the return of the comic book store, named in her honor by Stuart.

  8. I don't think so. I think Thursday's is only the tip of a very large iceberg..... I think it needs to be addressed a lot more later on in the season. Why? Because you unearth a whole treasure trove of story lines once Lenny officially live together... 7 days of the week. Amy will put pressure on Sheldon to move in with him, more Sheldon issues, what's going to happen to the apartment, Leonard moving all of his stuff out, an empty room, a new roommate.... the possibilities are endless and need to be addressed, sooner or later. I have a feeling it will be a huge victory for Lenny, not for Shamy, as Lenny are DEFINITELY moving in together sometime soon, and I personally don't think Sheldon is ready to move in with Amy. Just my thoughts.

  10. I have always thought that they would write her death in, and finally show Bernadette being there for Howard in a way a wife is, not a mother figure (which they've done a couple of times this season). In addition, in my head, at the end, Bernadette makes Howard realize that Stewart made his mom happy in her last days here and they should take care of him, aka still help fund the comic book store. Who knows what they will call it, but it would be a nice touching moment. And there is still ways to put comedy in there. I thought this season, with the other two couples being in such good places, that they were hinting at stress in the Howard/Bernadette relationship. This could be a big moment for them as a couple. I do not think they will recast, I don't even see that happening in any shape or form. JMO.

  11. Considering that everyone associated with the show stated how fond they were of her and how deeply they felt her death (she'd been with the show for over seven years), I really doubt they'll dishonor her memory by recasting the role. Carol's distinctive voice can be imitated (Simon and Melissa have proven that), but it can never be matched. No, my prediction is that they'll write Mrs. Wolowitz out of the series by killing her off, leading to humorous angst all around, the inevitable unintentionally insensitive comments from Sheldon (c'mon, you know it would happen), and a touching good-bye from Howard (and maybe an appearance by his long-absent father), plus it would neatly resolve Howardette's house hunting if they inherited Casa Wolowitz. And I'm still pulling for "Debbie's Comics Corner"...

  13. I am so happy with what we have been given that I'm ok if there is no major milestones for them in the near future. Hey we are Shamy fans, even a cute look or mention from each other gets us all full of feels!! But I do think we will get a kiss this season....and I too hope its passionate...Not looking at Feb sweeps...that screams May sweeps to me!! (aka finale!!)

  14. I'm a practising Catholic heavily involved in my local parish with a Hi IQ and laugh at jokes about my religion both in BBT and any other show on TV. I can also have stimulating rational discussions with atheists and enjoy their point of view despite my differing opinion. Love Sheldons battles with his mum whether it makes my religion look silly or not. Too many religious folk take things too seriously when our faith gets taunted. I could care less. Jesus could look after himself [emoji12] I'm also a nerd/geek and laugh at jokes about them on BBT and any other show on TV. I watch the show because it's funny, occasionally interesting on the science front, always enjoy the pop culture stuff because that's my thing, and as my sig states there's a little bit of all the characters in me. I hate it when sitcoms take themselves too seriously. I gave MASH a pass on being too serious because it was about war but enjoyed its funny eps more than the preachy ones. If I want to learn stuff I watch docos. Sitcoms are for mindless fun to escape life's problems. And Billy Crystal played openly gay Jodie Dallas in the sitcom Soap in the late 70s, 20 years before Ellen came out. The only reason Ellen was such a big deal was because the media started making such a big deal about causes in the 90s til now.

  17. With more screen time together, I expect to see more of this "behind the scenes" Lenny passion we talk about. Sheldon finally no longer sleeps on Penny's couch and Love Bug and The Romance Ninja come out of hibernation. They share a wonderful, touching scene and profess their love for each other and their joy in really believing they have a long and wonderful life ahead of them. It will be so beautiful, we will be humming out favorite love songs for weeks afterward. I want them to make me sing! Damn it.

  18. I really miss the Shamy. I thought this hiatus would make me less obsessed about them but I was wrong. How could I stop loving them? it hurts.

  19. I don't think it has anything to do with if they still have milage in the character. Yes cynicism is alive and well in the industry. But this is a unique case. Like they said this is their "dear" friend. So I doubt they would insult her memory by recasting her. Even if Simon or Mel voices her. Just because that's how things are done, or thats the process. I'll say it is more likely they well write her off. Great oppurtunity for BBT to show some emotion, which it is not always renowned for.

  20. Experience has taught me that in matters of money, sentimentality falls by the wayside in this industry. I wouldn't be surprised if they recast Mrs Wolowitz.

  22. So I was rewatching the episode where Sheldon fell in love with the blue jay. it astounds me that he could have such a strong pathological aversion to something and then once he was exposed to it absolutely fell in love with it. Now at first my mind went to obvious places when I thought that future coitus with Amy would be no different than Sheldon's relationship with birds. Then I thought more about the scene and it also made me think that Sheldon might actually make a very loving father. I mean if he could become so overwhelmingly smitten with an animal that he had hated for years, it wouldn't be out of character for him to be a caring dad. I'm not saying I want shamy to have kids or not. I guess if the writers can write something good then I wouldn't be opposed to it.

  26. If anyone wants to see the ultimate way to handle death in a sitcom, do a google for and then look for the video of "Chuckles Bites the Dust" from The Mary Tyler Moore Show. Nothing, absolutely nothing can top this. TV Guide placed it number one in the top 100 sitcom episodes of all time.

  29. If they planned to re-cast Mrs. W, there would be no need to "deal with" her death on the show. Look back through the history of sit-coms, and almost always if there's the death of a cast member, the character's death is written into the series. I'm thinking of Night Court, Gimme a Break, 8 Simple Rules, and even guest characters on Murphy Brown, Scrubs, and Who's the Boss. The only exception I can think of is Mrs. Kravitz on Bewitched. I'm actually kind of angered by the suggestion that these writers and producers would be so cold as to think their friend is replaceable or to prioritize money over her memory. Besides, the show isn't going to lose money if Mrs. W isn't on the show anymore. If they still want someone in that type of role, they'll have Mrs. Wolowitz's sister come to stay in the house.

  30. But Molaro said they are going to deal with Mrs.W's death....I think that was pretty clear....so I don't see a recasting.

  31. I don't see it being totally humorous, but a very sweet yet sad moment. Kinda like the letter from Howard's Dad. While that moment had some funniness to it, it was mainly very heartfeld and full of group love that showed they do all deep down support each other. I expect the Mrs. W's death to be that and then some. I trust the writers completely.

  33. I see Molaro has said there are no immediate plans for another milestone in Shamy's relationship following the ILY's. If by that he means sex I'm ok with it, but if it means we're not going to see an on screen passionate kiss any time soon (February sweeps I'm looking at you !!) then I'm going to scream out of shear frustration!! Hell, it doesn't even need to be passionate,at this point I'd take any kind of Shamy kiss!!

  34. Sweeps end 2/25. They always go Thurs-Weds. You can't compare last year to this year because of the Olympics. Last year the other networks aside from NBC aired more repeats. So I very well could see BBT putting 4 new episodes during the Feb sweep. January viewing is usually down anyway. It will not compare to Feb HUT/PUT levels. Majority of the networks may air 1-2 new episodes in January because most are still putting out their mid-season stuff (for instance programs like Undercover Boss, The Taste, Galvant, etc are in the viewing mix right now). My gut says the 22nd will be a repeat. That week its already confirmed by CBS that they are airing repeats NCIS NO, CSI, Mike & Molly, Criminal Minds, Stalker, Hawaii 5-0, in addition to having the Presidential Speech that week and CBS is airing the "Superbowl's greatest Commercials" that week... I could be wrong, but with most of their programming being in repeats that week, I am guessing BBT will do the same.

  35. I'm thinking there will be a rerun. This Thursday will be 8.12. If the next new one after that is the 29th, there would be four episides for Feburary sweeps. That would leave two for March, two for April, and four for May sweeps. That would mean only four repeats for the rest of the year(remembering the show will off for two weeks for the NCAA basketball tournament. In addition, if the run a new one on the 22nd, the last two episodes of sweeps will only have a nIne day turnaround, between taping and broadcast. I know they can do it, but they don't like to do it. But, we'll have to wait and see what CBS has in mind.

  37. I actually think that there's TBBT before this episode and TBBT after it. It's in this ep that we see: - That Leonard has broken it off with Priya but that he's not moping or depressed, even though he would have been at least as justified in being so as with his split with Penny. Priya, after all, seemed to respect his intellect, appreciate his appearance (enough to try dressing him up and getting him to show off his pretty eyes), and his skill and creativity as a lover much more than we ever saw with Penny. Yet, when Priya cheats on him, he seems to come through it with more, rather than less, self-esteem, which comes through later in the season. (Though I don't think the writers did nearly enough with it!) - That Bernie (especially) and Penny don't just tolerate Amy, but really feel connected with her; enough so that they try not once but twice to patch things up, in spite of Amy's passive-aggressive whining. - That at this point, Sheldon actually shows more of a connection with Amy than she does with him. It's Sheldon who freaks when she goes silent for what looks like a single evening. It's Sheldon who seeks her out and consents to her, rather callus, negotiating tactics, even though it's not at all clear how she would back up her ultimatum. I think of it this way: What would have happened if Sheldon had refused to play along? He would have been forced to abandon her in her misery in spite of him knowing he could have helped her. But the only way this could have affected Sheldon would have been if he actually cared about his connection to her, if he cared about her well-being, and if he accepted some responsibility for it. Up to this point, I don't think we've ever seen anything like this from Sheldon. - That Amy is, initially, so focused on self-pity that she's actually annoyed to see Sheldon at her door. It's not until she sees that he's committed to helping her that she, apparently, sees him as a partner and furthermore as someone who has something to lose if her needs aren't met. I see this as an extension of, "The Zazzy Substitution", in S4, when we, and Amy, saw Sheldon fall apart without her. Now we see her exploiting Sheldon's dependence upon her, while at the same time, and really, I think, for the first time, reaching out to him, and perhaps beginning to re-focus her desires and hopes for emotional growth on a more suitable target than Penny. I really see this ep as the one in which all these things are brought to the surface, in spite of the feeble attempt in the tag to do a reset by having Amy revert to being an obnoxious, arrogant pest. (Sorry, writers; I didn't buy it!)

  43. I've been thinking they'll tie the reopening of the comic book store to the death of Mrs. Wolowitz. It would be nice if they named the new comic book store after her. Of course, we still don't know how they'll handle the death of Carol Ann Susi. However, I think a proper, poignant tribute to the character Mrs. Wolowitz (presumably because of her death) is a nice way to honor Carol Ann Susi's contribution to the show.

  44. i agree 3ku11, Penny was mean most of the times to Leonard, play hard to catch but she did on purpose out her love for him. I hope so that the second half will be more Lenny focused, they are in perfect place together, the last scene when they are having dinner and Lonard fnishes his dinner, he takes his plate and Penny's too; that was nice. litte things like that shows the deep love betweeen them. And them standing together by the kitchen counter and when the camera focused on them, you coulld seen them looking at each other. More than words between them. GO LENNY , have a happy new year.
