That's very true. There was a time Sheldon didn't bother putting his salary cheques in the bank and was happy to lend money to Penny for as long as she needed it. Amy told Bernadette she cared more about her work than earning a high income from a commercial firm. However, everybody has to think about affordability. Even Sheldon once said he'd live alone if he could afford it, although that would have been when they were all at the beginning of their careers. He liked the idea of being Raj's financial manager when 'Richie Rich (I don't know who that is ) rich' Raj fell on hard times. What struck me as odd was Amy's response of 'Sounds expensive' when she obviously normally spent money on her hair and clothes anyway, which are in the range of affordability for her income bracket.

Sheldon never cared about money when he bought something as long as his bills were paid first. I can think of the sword he and Leonard bought or the thousand dollars on the cheap Aquaman statue and couple hundred on the water gun in Episode 7/2. But that's not just Sheldon. Raj, Howard and Leonard were equally guilty in those endeavors as well.

I just watched the last episonde of The Big Bang Theory and it's amazing! I cried so hard it was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen! The Big Bang may be the the number 1 comedy but it's far more than that! It's the most pure, beautiful and heartwarming love story anyone has ever known, it's about the most simple and true way anyone can love and it's about how the smallest things can have such a huge impact on peoples lives and make them turn out amazing it's not just a tv show it's a life lesson and the best story I have ever known. Thank you so much, because that, is the explanation for how the universe works. It did start with The Big Bang...

I haven't watched the Connors, the previews do not appeal to me though I do like the people. Maybe some day I'll give it a try. Plus I do not have cable and can't get any channels. I saw Living Biblically at someone's house and couldn't get into it--felt I wasn't missing anything. I'm always happy watching YS-- they are so well done and I love the way the 2 shows are related so deeply even though there are no BBT actors starring in it. I have to admit I have to watch at least one episode of BBT a day (I own them on DVD)

Same here. I've tried The Conners but it's a bit too serious and sordid to get me hooked. The interesting thing is, we saw some of the adults when they were children and it's the same cast playing them, now grown up. The adults then are older but not greatly changed. The new cast members are children. Some of the cast members have been in TBBT - I recognise at least four. Living Biblically looked as though it had potential as an idea, and contained some of the other two casts, but it didn't click and got what the US sites call 'canceled'. I found it hard to get into. The episodes were disjointed and to me it felt as though I was in a church hall watching very under-rehearsed amateur actors delivering their lines hoping for comic effect. So,when it comes to sitting up into the early hours waiting for somebody to upload an American show, YS is the one I look forward to. I am getting fed up of watching repeats of TBBT on TV. At least at the end of YS we sometimes get a hint of what's going on with our gang although we can't see them.

Okay. I sort of remember the episode, but not the conversation. My memory kind of stinks right now.

That would be great if we heard what happened in YS I love that show It's the only one I watch nowadays

That sounds like a good explanation. Thank you. If there's anything left after buying all those plane tickets and paying for luxury hotel suites, I expect they'll buy a house so they have room for a family. I hope grown-up Sheldon tells us when narrating Young Sheldon. I'm thinking Howardette's neighbours might move again and Shamy could buy the house. Since Sheldon is familiar with the layout of the rooms and the stairs, it wouldn't be too big a change for him to cope with.

I think that was just a segue from the writers for Raj to explain the award money and his hopes for her to buy him things too. (She's also not used to having lots of money, they don't seem to make a whole lot. One episode Amy told Penny she made more than her)

Can't think of anytime he mistreated as in abuse. But she wasn't spared from his occasional condescending rants on multiple topics, as were other members of the gang. Try season 4 when they had the discussion in CalTech's cafeteria and Sheldon went on to get the many cats. I can't remember the episode off hand. There are many episodes to choose from with his condescension toward non Physics studies.

I cannot recall the named episode but there was one whereby Sheldon belittles his wife's work and gets the university president to assign her to work with him instead of her own research. This was truly a selfish and unacceptable act by Sheldon. Maybe someone else can recall the name of the episode for you.

I believe also that because of Sheldon's OCD and his strict rigid organized schedule he does not need or care to spend money lavishly and keeps his money as you have mentioned with his uncashed salary checks

I think the last thing they think about is money--they are so focused on science. This was brought up in the last YS. Georgie was interested in making money and Sheldon explained he just doesn't care about it. I feel they both don't give money much thought.

A couple of jokes, based on things that have happened today, while I've been shopping. I went into the Pharmacy to buy a container, to take a urine sample to the doctors next week. They charged me 50p for it. I really think they're taking the piss. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- I was waiting in the queue at the till, in Home Bargains, when a youngster in a pram looked at me and said "DADA". Well I sometimes forget my keys, but I think I'd remember that.

That is one of the most truthful things I've ever read, and the show is just like it. The show allows people to express them for who they are because of the effect it has had on our society at the moment. I've seen it many times and one thing I have always said is the show is so honest and I think definitely discusses many things in life. It presents life as honestly as possible, so many shows have made life try to look as perfect as possible. I think that's why it is/was so popular, it actually gives younger viewers a bit of a sense of how life could be and how you have to work to get certain things. I've loved the show for so many years and I've seen it nearly 6 times because of it. I was devastated when I heard it was finishing and cry every time I watch the finale. It's had such an impact on so many people throughout its 12 years and I think it will have an impact for many years to come. Still so upset it's done never know how to react when such an incredible thing ends...

I once took the trouble to dig up some of a few remarkable scenes (from my pov, of course) of Lenny from Season 8. (Our ship historian @3ku11 may forgive me, but I’m not responsible for the hairstyle of any protagonists.)
