  1. Kaley has a new rescued animal at her ranch, this time a baby rooster.

  2. Not just hiatus time. The actors on the show would have to be in the building for ~26-34 hours a week (depending on how long a couple of things took (special costumes, pre-shoots, etc). And only about half that time was them being on set. That would give Kaley a lot of time to do work on other things versus the night and early morning shoots she is having to do these days. There's also a big time difference between being the executive producer and number one on the call sheet, versus being number three on the call sheet, in an ensemble. Add in the two weeks on, one week off schedule and there is a lot of free time for a sitcom actor.

  5. When Amy mentions being sent to the sin closet, my first reaction was to think her mother sounded like the mother in the Stephan King book/movie Carrie.

  7. Sheldon's inner child seems to come to the surface when he gets emotionally stressed. This time that was shown with the breakfast, the teddy bear, the problem with the revolving door and his reaction to the earth tremor. No wonder the guy tries to suppress emotion. Too much emotion changes him from a brilliant theoretician into Gilligan.

  8. Another very good episode - the show has really been on a roll since it moved back to Thursdays, Loved the setup of Sheldon being worried about Leonard dieing during his nose surgery, while Leonard tried to reassure Sheldon that it was routine, minor surgery and there was nothing to worry about - there have been some nice Shelnard moments this season, and this episode had lots of them - Sheldon watching Leonard sleep, and then saying he would miss his snoring, meaning that he would miss Leonard if anything happened to him - "You are such a glass is half full kind of guy, I'm going to miss that" - Sheldon figuring out the public swimming pool ruse, and after learning that Leonard is having the surgery, demanding that Amy take him to the hospital, putting his fear of hospitals aside for his best friend - then during the earthquake and the lights go out in the hospital, Sheldon forgot all about his emergency preparedness drills and rushed to see if Leonard was ok, causing him to crash into the glass door in the funniest moment of the episode, and I liked the Leonard and Sheldon bickering on the couch afterwards - "I don't know what hurts more, my nose or my heart." - and finally the matching urns were Priceless "Here lye the ashes of Leonard Hofstadter, he thought he was right but his roommate knew better." and "I'm with stupid" - so sweet that Sheldon wanted to be buried with his best buddy - I know that Amy is right and eventually Sheldon will move on and Leonard and Sheldon will no longer be roommates, but when that day comes it will be a very sad day for me. I also liked the Raj/Howard/Bernadette part - the way Raj has talked about his parent's relationship the last couple years, it is not surprising that they got a divorce, but I miss the video chat scenes between Raj and his parents and hope this doesn't mean that they are gone for good - maybe either his father or mother could move to Pasadena - Howardette saying what they like about each other with devolved into what they didn't like about each other was funny, I too wonder if all the bickering between them this season was leading to trouble for the marriage, but I think whatever plans there might have been, might now change with the death of Carol Ann Susi, speaking of which, it was touching and classy for TBBT to pay tribute to her at the end of the episode, she will be missed.

  9. The picture Penny took of the boys (that's going to be her Christmas card)....I'd love to see it on her refrigerator sometime in future episodes!

  10. I enjoyed the episode a lot. It was a mix of touching sweetness with some comedy. I loved the Sheldon/Leonard plot. This episode further established for me what we learned last year. Leonard is really the only male person in his life that he truly has. And he has to appreciate him. And in Sheldon's way he was doing so by fearing the worst. The two of them on the couch was funny yet adorable. And the feelings between them are mutal. Loved that Leonard has the prom pic on his nightstand. And Penny was so relaxed in the situation about the surgery. Clearly an important element to balance out Sheldon's situation. And I appreciated her "he's all mine" and "I am going to spend the rest of my life with him"... It's nice to hear her vocalize it more. The Raj plot was very relatable. My best friend dealt with her parents splitting up as an adult child and it's still rough not matter how old you are. The cute banter in the car and hospital waiting room between Shamy (old married couple style) just confirms how connected they are and things are gravy post-ILYs. Now onto the Bernadette and Howard plot. I feel like this has been brewing this season slowly to cause tension for them. Let's face it, they are kinda in a rut. And while Lenny and Shamy are both clearly in good places, I think the others will hit some rough patches and get these two to appreciate each other more. Overall a sweet episode I thought. The ending with the tribute was very touching... No vanity card this week, the focus is where it belonged, in saluting amazing person!!

  11. Season 8 Sheldon is a kinder, gentler Sheldon. He has been noticeably less condescending and more caring. Last week he told Amy he loved her, now he's loving Leonard to death. Is this because of the train trip? If so, I know a bunch of people I'd like to send on train trips.
