  1. They've all said and done mean things to each other, I think we can all agree on that. The way I see it ( and it's a very biased and overly simplistic way to look at things ) is like this : I see 5 people ( I'm not including Raj 'cause I still don't know where I stand with him) who are mostly kind and good but who can be jerks at times and one jerk who can be nice at times. A few good deeds here and there didn't redeem the character in my eyes. Like I've just rewatched 7*22 , Professor Proton's funeral and the lesson for him was to learn and appreciate the people around him. He learnt no

  2. You must be kidding yourself ... Now I watch TBBT another (probably already 20) time from the beginning, I'm now in season 8 and so far in almost every episode Sheldon is bulling somebody. Making an innocent face at the same time. From being humiliated in his childhood, he has become the "bullier" of his best and only tolerant friends. Always and everywhere, Sheldon is the most important - Stuart's bookstore burned down - and he tells him that his life is collapsing because Leonard is engaged and wants to move out. Poor injured Sheldon. Amy goes with Leonard to Arizona to get him - and he

  3. Watching TBBT the first time I thought it was comical hearing Sheldon's psychotic rants and in the early seasons the gang stood up to him, especially Penny, but now they all seem to tolerate him and ignore him for the most part. However, now after watching multiple reruns of the seasons Sheldon has become to me such an annoying pain in the ass I wonder how he keeps his friends with all his insults, condescenion, and obnoxiousness. I know this is only a TV show but in the real world Sheldon would "Die Sheldon Die" And we cannot forget Sheldon diabolically manipulating Leonard with his sw

  5. I've said this before, but I can pinpoint exactly when I could no long consider Sheldon's words or actions innocencent for me. Season 6, episode 8. During his conversation with Leonard about Penny and the British guy. When he said something about Penny thinking she was a chicken pecking for corn, and then mimed Penny performing oral sex, they couldn't go back to claiming he didn't understand. When they tried that, it was no longer believable for me.

  6. Can you provide one example of Sheldon being bullied by any of the other main cast? Pehaps, Penny, at some point stood up to Sheldon and made him do somethhing. Though being compelled to do something you should do anyway is not being bullied.

  8. No not a true friend. Raj and Howard re not true friends either. Instead of being helpful, they want to mock and tease.

  9. Astute observation. It did seem to work out as foretold. I would hesitate to give the writers any credit for this. Long term story arcs with consistent continutiy was never their strong suit.

  10. Fun interview with Kaley, with a misleading headline. Also, good comments for those of us who live the Johnny-Kaley friendship. https://www.eonline.com/news/1266678/kaley-cuoco-hints-a-big-bang-theory-reunion-show-could-be-coming-sooner-than-you-think

  13. Hi HeWolf I think in some ways they had to evolve him . All the characters changed ( not for the best for some of them , Hi Raj ! ) , I'm not convinced they always made the right choices regarding Sheldon. To me, he went from child-like to just childish , there are many lines of dialogue and scenes that really made me cringe and feel sorry for Jim. I have just rewatched season 9 and now on season 10, I have a hard time believing that people who found the early Sheldon entertaining would still find him entertaining in the later seasons. I could see the appeal in the first seasons, after t

  14. From TV Line's ongoing article Young Sheldon: Every Big Bang Theory Cameo, Easter Egg and Future Reveal In Season 4, Episode 13, a new tradition was born when Sheldon proposed a science-based car game to his mother: “I’ll say an element starting with the letter A, then you repeat that and add one starting with the letter B.” As our narrator would explain, this tradition “would eventually bring countless hours of joy to Leonard on our drives to work. Much like my mother, he never beat me.”

  16. I’m not sure what you mean by a coupon, but it really doesn’t matter. The show ended in 2019 and there are no more new shows being produced. If you want to see how it was done, I suggest you look into the the last few season specific areas. Near the beginning of each of them there are threads about attending a taping.

  18. On this date May 9, 1962 a group of scientists from MIT succeeded in reflecting a laser beam off the moon. Doesn't this sound familiar to Season 3 Episode 23 "The Lunar Excitation" when the Big Bang Theory nerds were on the roof doing this same experiment. P.S. they did not blow up the moon!

  28. Hehe Penny being a genius all along would have been quite the twist!! Maybe she was bored as a teenager and prefered drinking ,stealing horses and tipping cows because she was'nt intellectually challenged in high school ? Seems unlikely but hey , who knows ?? I loved the chess scene ( " you playing chess like Bobby Fischer! " ) , led me to believe she was a quick study ( or it was simply beginner's luck and Leonard really sucks at chess lol ). Too bad the writers didn't remember that in the later seasons , they could have used that to find her a new hobby or a job she actually lik

  29. Great points, well written. Concerning acting, it seems like acting requires talent and luck: a big break. In the series we were shown Penny's acting talents: A Street Car Named Desire, Penny acting like she would not resist Leonard if he moved in (but he was already there from the pilot episode-Our babies will be smart and beautiful). You don't have to push hard, if they were 'already gone'. I like to think Penny's acting skills aided her success in Pharm sales. Penny should stay earshot from any musical, but wouldn't it be interesting if Broadway put on a musical-comedy where all singers w

  30. Your analysis is quite enlightening. I had never considered Penny in this manner. But looking back it is quite possible. Also, she overthinks things as do the other geniuses on the show including her husband. She also picked up her sales job easily and became quite prolific at it. With this insight I wonder why she could not master her acting craft.

  31. Penny should have been revealed to have a higher I.Q. than Sheldon. Think it over. Penny played chess for the first time and beat Leonard. Many things bore Penny: a true characteristic of geniuses. Also, some self-medicate, perhaps as Penny does with alcohol. as recently displayed in the Hemmingway PBS 6 hour series. There are a multitude of examples in many episodes of Penny quickly coming up with problem solutions faster and better than any other cast member. Penny even inspired Sheldon and all the cast members to evolve, improve, reach goals. Q.E.D. Discuss.

  32. I cannot say that I ever 'liked' Sheldon. I did find Sheldon 1.0 greatly entertaining. This character was gone by the beginning of Season 5 and his future iterations were mostly annoying and sometimes really difficult to watch. Original Sheldon was a unique character who was played masterfully by Jim Parsons. I know there are many fans that say the character had to evolve. Maybe that's right. I do know that the process he underwent on the show was often ill conceived and frequently unbelievable. At one point they had him going around calling people vegetables. Jeez!
