  1. The Locomotive Reverberation We had a great time last night! It wasn't really a Shamy episode - until the tag at the end, but it was funny! Leonard and Howard wanted to get Sheldon out of the way so they could work on their government contract in peace, so Leonard gave him tickets to go on a 'train experience' weekend! He was obviously very excited about this and left them alone to 'become an engineer' ("But a train engineer, not a goofy one like you are!"). The problem was, they needed his help...the Shamy moment comes at the end when Sheldon and Amy are on their way to the train, and she imagines him there shovelling coal with no shirt and then takes her water and pours it over himself, flicking his hair like a shampoo advert! Hope this is OK!
  2. It will be the afternoon for me too - from about 3.00-5.00 PM. Thank you - any assistance is much appreciated!
  3. Hi, I've been away for a while, but would just like to say I'm going to try again for the 17 January taping! We were meant to go in February 2015 - got tickets and then taping was cancelled! 17 January 2017 will be the 9th anniversary of when me and my husband met, so I'd love to spend it at a taping with him. We're coming from the UK though, so all flights, etc need to be booked as soon as possible...if there is anyone who would be happy to help with getting tickets, please let me know! Thank you.
  4. Hi, just wondering if there could be a thread for any fanfic people here might write for other shows, as I know there are some who write other fanfic too? No problem if it's not the right place - just thought I'd ask!
  5. Sorry it's not specifically Shamy - but I just wanted to ask - baby Howardette - boy or girl? I would say girl, called Deborah Carol.
  6. He's always wanted her - a man will always buy a drink for a woman he's attracted to.
  7. Hope you will be feeling better soon xx
  8. I wrote it a while ago, and apologies if this is the wrong thread, but this is how I saw the revelation of Amy's father: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10268990/1/The-Decoration-Revelation
  9. Oh, I know it's all been said before, but it was so beautiful! Funny too, with the rest of the guys at the Movie with Wil Wheaton! So sweet how they were so nervous together, and I love how Amy raced down the stairs to get waxed after the girls told her! It must have been so important to Sheldon that this happened - he wouldn't have missed that movie for anything but her, and Proton's appearance shows it all came from him. Lovely episode - really enjoyed it!
  10. I'm watching Opening Night for the first time!!
  11. I worked it out - have submitted The Anaheim Awakening to the Inkitt Fanfic Competition!
  12. Hi, how do you submit stories on Inkitt?
  13. Wow...I've been away from the forum for a while, not because I lost the faith, but it was so sad when they broke up and reading the posters wondering how they could turn things around, so stayed away until things sorted themselves out. I always thought they would get back together, but didn't want to say that when people weren't ready to trust again just yet. But how amazing - it sounds like everything we could have wanted - and who gets first dibs on 'The Force Awakens' as their fanfic title?!

  15. Is this real? It happens?! Is that why it was so hard to load the page?!
  16. Wait, wait - what's happened? Do they make up?!
  17. Very interesting to read all your thoughts. I have been busy writing for my other fandom for the past few months now, and I'd just like to take a moment to thank Hazelra for staying with it and trying out a show she didn't previously know (not many of you would know it, and those that do would probably not agree with where I'm taking it - its own fandom wouldn't be keen on it, in general!) I do have one other regular reviewer for it though, who is a big fan of the show, and she reviews via Facebook PM's, which is just as good. I've never had anything bad, fortunately, as some of you have, but a lot of indifference with some of them. Try looking up The Reviews Lounge Too - part of the Fanfiction.net site - you may find yourself reviewing a show or genre you know nothing about, but you can get some great reviews there!
  18. Congratulations to all the winners! There are some great stories here, and thank you so much for voting mine as best Howardette! So glad you enjoyed it!
  19. Hi, just wanted to share this forum I found on the FF site: https://www.fanfiction.net/forum/The_Reviews_Lounge_Too/70706/ It looks to be great for helping stories for lesser known fandoms get reviews - not needed so much for BBT, but if anyone (like me) also writes for less well known shows, it looks great!
  20. All done! Thank you for nominating me for best One Shot and best Howardette!
  21. Not a question as such, but just wanted to say: You've know you've done a good sexy scene when you go to work afterwards and can't stop thinking about it! Anyone else done that? Or with any scene you're particularly proud of? Not a question as such, but just wanted to say: You've know you've done a good sexy scene when you go to work afterwards and can't stop thinking about it! Anyone else done that? 22. Yes - to me this show is just as much about the girls growing up as the boys. Penny has always had a hard time getting emotionally close to the men in her life - that, and I suspect, a provincial, working class upbringing around people who didn't understand her dream are what basically connect Penny and Sheldon, and only when she grows past that can she truly be vulnerable enough to let Leonard love her as they would both want him to. Bernie has to learn that temper tantrums are best left behind, and remember that she has a husband, and not a child. She needs to step back and allow his growth (which I think will necessarily come from his mother's death), to make theirs the marriage they would both want. And Amy of course, is caught between being true to herself and what society has told her she should want, and it's her inexperience mixed with more grown up concerns that go some way to explaining where she is right now.
  23. Something I'd like to see as well is a dream (at some point) in which Sheldon is reunited with George Sr. In the dream, his father expresses his regret that his words and actions caused the breakdown of his marriage, and lost him the woman he loved. He doesn't want Sheldon to make the same mistake, as unlike the view taken in some fanfics, I believe all the Cooper children were conceived in love - but things weren't right, for some reason, and he didn't know how to make it right, at least not fighting an addiction at the same time. Sheldon doesn't have that problem though, and his father is trying to make him see that it's not too late, as I also believe that even though they couldn't understand each other, most of the time, it didn't mean they didn't love each other.
  24. It's interesting, too to try to get into someone else's emotions and sexuality, especially (I would guess) for men writing about women and vice versa, because there are reactions that they are perhaps less likely to have had themselves or would not express in quite the same way.
