  1. I emailed them and got it confirmed we have 2 guaranteed tickets.
  2. Tickets are up for 10/25! HELP! I've been trying since the instant they came up but it's not accepting my form! :-( Edit to add: Apparently my mum got through, but since she's technologically challenged she didn't take screenshots or print what came up on her screen. How long on average does it take for the email confirmation to come through?
  3. Thank you so much! I just worked out that I'll have to be online from about 2:30am my time so it'll be nice to have someone else helping as well [emoji1303][emoji1]
  4. I'm so relieved to see a 10/25 taping! I'm in NZ and booked flights and accommodation months ago to come to LA just for a BBT taping and that's the date I chose. I would really appreciate any help getting a ticket when they come available. Thanks [emoji4]
  5. Hi all, I'm in NZ and I'm about to book tickets for flights to LA specifically to come to a BBT taping. I'm planning on booking for October 23-27 to attend a (probable) taping on the 25th. Is it likely that that date will be a non taping day? I can book other times in October, but I need I book them now to get the best prices. Does anyone know of any reason why they might not tape October 25th?
  6. I'm a Kiwi too - but I missed that promo. Just out of hospital with a brand new baby [emoji4]
  7. That picture above turned into this... Still pretty happy [emoji4]
  8. True, though the stories/pictures those guys saw were about themselves as themselves. Not their characters from X-Men. I guess there may be a slight distinction since the Shenny hate stories are still about the characters, but it would still be really weird for them to see it. Edit: to add this http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=yrwnzT8vK0w Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I saw on Graham Norton last night (uk chat show) Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy looking at (slash) Fanart and reading fan fiction titles/synopses about themselves. They took it in good humour because they were on tv, but you could tell they were mortified, and quite creeped out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Fortnight is two weeks :-) I think it's a contraction of 'Fourteen nights' I don't know about other countries but most people get paid fortnightly in NZ, and a lot of people choose to pay mortgages fortnightly too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Just a thought - if she did respond then he probably wouldn't have been able to say his line clearly/effectively. Perhaps it was written that way so that they could get the joke in, and next time we see a kiss we get more as they're not going to run the same joke again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Horses will usually do their damnedest to avoid stepping on their rider, especially in the event of a fall. If he's the one who stood on her then it very much would have been not deliberate. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. My apologies - I didn't mean to imply anyone did a bad job with the reports. I wouldn't be able to remember anything at all let alone the detail that everyone has been able to convey. I think you've all done a wonderful job. I just meant that sometimes you just have to see it, or be there to fully appreciate the humour in its entirety, and that when you're focused on one part of the story, other parts might not seem as funny. Apologies again :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Perhaps the rest of the episode really is funny? I mean not everyone views the show with Shamy coloured glasses, and perhaps the taping reports just don't convey some of the other humour? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Yes, Anaheim and Paris HYE jumped out of a moving plane, train, or automobile? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I'm happy because I have a TBBT Season 1-6 Blu-ray box set on its way to me RIGHT NOW! Oh and also this is pretty good news too :-D Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. It's actually an Australian flag - and you can hear a voice saying 'crikey!' :-D Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. What channel was the marathon on and how did I miss that?!? Was it on Sky? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. My husband made me sit down and watch The Empire Strikes Back the other day, but I haven't seen any other Star Wars movies. I tried to tell him that I couldn't possibly watch it without having seen A New Hope (like Sheldon with NCIS), but he didn't get it :-( So I annoyed the crap out of him asking as many questions as I could :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. As I mentioned in another thread, I'm less convinced that Sheldon will be open to the idea of living with Amy due to his background. Even though he has come to question the values his mother instilled in him through his childhood, I don't think he's at a point to completely throw it all away to 'live in sin' with his girlfriend, whether they are in separate rooms or not. I realise that it may be a bit far fetched to assume all this, considering he didn't bring it up in 'Spoiler Alert' as a reason for them not to live together, but I think it's still valid nonetheless :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I'm from Palmy too! Moved to Welly 4 years ago, but hubby and I both grew up there :-) Isn't it frustrating to be so far behind everyone else with episodes? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Oh also, I think if Amy had gone to the train station then it probably would have ended up with an ultimatum from her that either he stays or the relationship is over. Either that or she just rolls over and lets him go. I don't think her being there would have changed his mind at all - if anything it might have made it worse. This way, the writers didn't write themselves into a corner with her pushing too hard and completely ruining (what is left?) of their relationship, or making her into a complete doormat if she let him leave. Leaving her outside the farewell leaves it open for them to have that discussion next season - I don't think there was enough time to do it justice this episode.
  23. Is it just me, or has Sheldon already shown Amy that he loves her? He has only by his own admission kissed only 3 women in his life before meeting Amy, and they were all women he loved (I'm choosing not to count the nun). Surely we can extrapolate that out to mean that Amy is included in his list of women he loves? I don't know if he has actually fallen in love with her (yet), and of course there is a long way from feeling it to verbalising it but it's just something I've been mulling on. Also considering his upbringing, I think he wouldn't dare dream of kissing anyone he didn't care deeply for. As for him telling Stuart that he knows Amy loves him - I'm less convinced that Sheldon actually really understands the depth of Amy's feelings for him. He is prone to throwaway comments like that (not that I can come up with any specific quotes right now), but I'm sure this doesn't actually sound like he's thought too far into the matter, just that it's another hyperbolic reaction to what otherwise would have been a rather innocuous comment. I look at Sheldon leaving on the train as if he's a computer that has crashed and he's restarted in 'safe mode'. He needs time to figure out what the problems are, and how to deal with them before returning to normal operations. Not that I think he should come back and expect that everything should be as it was before, but he needs a safe space to consider his position within the new normal that will be borne out of this situation. Amy for me is included as part of what his problem is. We have already seen from 'Table' that he is uncomfortable with not only change within his apartment, but still incredibly resistant to the notion that him and Amy should live together. As above I think his upbringing factors very heavily into his aversion - how could he even consider co-habiting with his girlfriend when they're not married - no matter how innocent and (mostly) platonic Amy's intentions may be. I don't think this is the end for Sheldon and Amy, perhaps like previous posters have said they need to go back to being friends for a while and perhaps let Sheldon chase her for once. I don't know. We shall see in August! Well played writers.... well played :-)
  24. Those who were at the taping - did they show an episode before hand? Was it Anything can happen recurrence? And if it was which take did they use for the tag? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
