I'm watching 'The Wheaton Reacurrence', I really wish Penny in Season 9 would find out Wheaton broke them up in season 3 to win a bowling game and bitch slap him.

Thanks to all who provided tidbits from last night's taping. Hope you all had an incredible time! The living arrangements, although not perfect by any means, are about what I expected. The Hofstadters are not going to just abandon their dear friend, especially in his present state, no matter how annoying these arrangements might be. Hopefully some comedy will come from this. I am not going to let this stop my elation for Leonard and Penny. They are together as one, and that's a lot more than I expected after Season 8. I have a feeling they are going to have a big role in helping Sheldon and Amy reunite, which I hope happens soon. Hard to have just 'Rolling On The Floor, Laughing' episodes with all the heavy drama still hanging over the show. Surprised they didn't have more on Raj and Emily; guess they are going to have Raj stay with her for now, due to his fear of being alone. If she stays, I hope they give her character more depth; or at least smooth off her scary edges.

I can't stop watching the wedding clip. Leonard's vows are amazingly perfect, imo.The pictures are too cute for words!
I've watched it a bunch too! Leonard's vows,...amazing, even the small snipit they show! Leonard and Penny Hofstadter... 14 billion years in the making(at least their atoms)!

The little clip with the "smart and beautiful babies" made me cry.I'm sorry that so many Lennies are so unhappy with the wedding and that you're not getting what you want. I could never envision a big wedding for these two. I didn't see them as the perfect wedding pair. I also figured that whatever they did, Sheldon would be smack dab in the middle of it, mucking it up. I think the little bit of the wedding we see will be very special and touching, as I thought the engagement scene also was. To borrow a phrase from Bernie, Leonard and Penny have been "half-assing" their relationship from S1. It looks like they will continue to "half-ass" their marriage until the fat lady sings and I believe we will get at least a peek at their smart and beautiful babies before the final curtain. This is one of the reasons why I love them so much. They are not the perfect couple and they struggle. But they do love each other so very much. Kaley said in an interview on "E", I think, that her dreams for Leonard and Penny come true(in the first few episodes). She sounded touched by the developments and very sincere. She's a very big Lenny.
I hope the sour taste left by S 8 is sweetened by the sweet taste of S9. For me, there is still so much to love about the Leonard and Penny story.

I can't see them going past November sweeps, so I'll say episode 8. I have always liked these 2 together, plus Sheldon needs a new roommate in 4A, across the hall from the newlyweds, Dr and Mrs Hofstadter!

it would be so easy to do an episode where Penny And Leonard Skype their friends during the week of their Honeymoon. They could have a scene where Penny calls then steps away and you hear Leonard moaning, of course the gang all looks at each other thinking sex, but Penny comes back and tells them Leonard is sunburnt and she had to rub a pain ointment on him. Leonard could call with a moaning Penny in the background only to find out she is hungover from all the partying they did the night before. They could do something like that, it would be funny and maybe as another plot, Sheldon whinning about how Penny is taking Leonard away. But bottom line I agree, they owe us a honeymoon.

Yeah the Hofstadter love needs to be shown. The chemistry is there but would love to see more of Leonard making a move on penny and being touchie instead of penny mostly initiating intimacy between them.

I would like to see some regular pillow talk between them, now that they are married. I would also still like to see Penny in her pajamas, robe and fuzzy slippers, getting some coffee in the morning, and Leonard come up behind her, wrap his arms around her, then attack her exposed neck with kisses, before her hair grows back. I just hope though that the writers don't think it is alright to have them sleeping separately in their own apartments, because I don't give a S*** what Sheldon thinks about the situation, they're married now, so he just needs to suck it up.

I don't think it's 'way to' relationship centric. The relationships are part of the growth of the original 5 characters, so naturally the show has changed in that respect. Whether these changes are good or bad is up to personal preference and debate. I like it as a RomCom as much as I did in the early seasons. My only complaint is, as with most Lennys, division of screen time for each character or couple in the crowded 21 minutes of each episode.
