  1. The Middle

Yes, the writers have been really great about their continuity, i.e., the quilt in the oven, Brick being taken home by the Fergusons as a baby, the inflatable foot bath, the hole in the wall in Sue's room, etc. I could go on and on... It's a remarkably well written and consistent series that I'll miss at the conclusion of the season. However, at least we'll have the re-runs!
  2. Modern Family

I agree! Joe's really coming into his own this season. I think every episode has been great, but last night's was really funny! I loved the kickball game with Pepper and Ronaldo. haha

We have a title for 11.08! The Futon Critic has the November 16th episode as being "The Tesla Recoil." Interesting! http://www.thefutoncritic.com/showatch/big-bang-theory/listings/ I also read that Wil Wheaton and Sheldon are going head-to-head for the new Professor Proton gig, and Penny helps to take care of Halley, in "The Proton Regeneration."

Ask Ausiello: Spoilers on The X-Files, The Walking Dead, The Flash, Once, Lucifer, New Girl, Big Bang and More http://tvline.com/2017/10/19/the-x-files-william-season-11-spoilers-mulder-scully-son/ ♦ The Nov. 2 Big Bang Theory finds Sheldon auditioning to be the new Professor Proton and we have your first look at Jim Parsons channeling his inner Bob Newhart. (BTW, the original PP — played by BN —will make another ghostly appearance in the episode as well). This set reminds me of Phoebe's apartment from Friends. Since that series was also filmed on the WB lot, I'm sure of the props/set designs are unintentionally similar.

I love me some Dick Van Dyke Show. However, Moore's eponymous show ranks as one of my all time favorites.

I find it interesting that TBBT is on Netflix in NZ. TBS has exclusive cable syndication rights in the U.S., so they can't be streamed on Netflix over here. It'll be interesting to see what other stations/streaming services swoop in on the series in future years, if/when TBS' current deal is up. TBS used to be the sole home to Friends, and while it still airs it, Viacom now airs it on Nick at Nite, Spike TV, etc. However, I think TBS maintains the daytime rights, while Viacom can broadcast it in the evening/late-night hours. This will inevitably happen to TBBT in the future.
  11. [Spoilers] Season 11 Discussion Thread

Yeah, this scene was cut from the syndicated prints. I don't think it has anything to do with the content, but rather the fact that most pilots run longer than typical episodes. TV series continue to get shorter, while more commercials are crammed-in. There are countless examples of other "cut" scenes from TBBT in syndication. While most edits are to lines of dialogue, "The Fuzzy Boots Corollary" always loses the scene of the guys going to the dance class with Wolowitz.

Or, K shopping with S (Stuart/Sheldon) + L (Leonard)... Something about "bags"? "Hugs"?
  13. [Spoilers] Season 11 Discussion Thread

I'm a little surprised that no one shared photos of Bob Newhart on set last night. I guess he could have pre-taped his scenes... I wish we had more spoilers, but I'm appreciative of the BTS stuff, title, and Howard's potential vasectomy story.
  14. What if season 12 is it?

I know season 11 has only just begun airing, but what if season 12 is the last one? When would they announce that? I'm thinking next summer, but I can't believe Les Moonves would let the show go without a fight. I mean, the cast is only contracted through season 12, so negotiations for a potential 13th season probably wouldn't begin until season 12 hits the airwaves. I just can't believe that if those discussions would fail that they would announce 12 as the last of the series while in the middle of it. I would think that CBS/WB would want to build-up interest and dub it the "farewell" season. Then again, maybe they would begin discussions sooner, rather than later. Thoughts?
  15. Halley [Spoiler Alert]

Steve Holland said in an interview that they didn't know if that joke worked twice, and that they were exploring their options of how to include the second baby in a new way. I like your idea of having Halley yelling actual words. They could also "age" her a little, and have her dart across the screen, running for a toy or snack, with Bernie yelling to slow down. Brief looks at Halley could be like what they did with Mrs. Wolowitz on the rooftop in "The Countdown Reflection" or season 6's "The Spoiler Alert Segmentation." I'm very intrigued by the possibilities!
  16. Johnny Galecki

Yeah, I agree that it's possible. I'm just surprised that there hasn't been any updates. I mean, the series is now in production, with tapings set to occur, and there were only eight episodes ordered. However, ABC could always up their order, similar to what NBC did with Will & Grace, and they could always pre-record scenes with Johnny as 'David.' Surely, the season's been planned out, so if Johnny isn't returning, how are they going to handle the character's story-line?
  17. What if season 12 is it?

I agree that midway through Joey the writers seemed to make him into a guy who couldn't ask a woman out, unlike the confident guy from Friends. However, there were some funny moments, too. I liked Jennifer Coolidge as his agent, as well as his nephew, Michael, and sister, Gina. Also, don't forget that appearance by Simon Helberg. It's hard to say how the ratings will fare for Young Sheldon's second episode. I think the original idea was to have it stay behind TBBT for the season, but CBS may want to consider moving it to Mondays, depending on how well 9JKL and the rest of the line-up does post-BBT move. They'd probably be smart to keep it behind the flagship, let it grow in viewers, and then move it the following season. However, I guess it depends on whatever happens with the rest of the new fall series. Plus, they should give Johnny's new series By the Book a run behind TBBT, too. I guess only time will tell.
  18. Johnny Galecki

With Roseanne tapings right around the corner (Oct. 6th), I wonder when we'll learn of Johnny's involvement or lack thereof. Maybe this week?
  19. What if season 12 is it?

Yes, I've gotten that impression from them. Jim has also expressed similar sentiments, but then again, his interview with Seth Meyers suggested that it could go beyond that. I guess no one really knows at this point. Even Chuck Lorre has said that it's too early to say for certain. Yeah, the ratings were huge, but some of that has to be due to the cliffhanger. Typically, the season premieres do well, and then the ratings semi-stabilize after that. The Mary Tyler Moore Show led the way for Rhoda, Phyllis, and Lou Grant, the last of which was an hour-long drama. Frasier was as successful as Cheers, with both lasting eleven seasons. While I may be in the minority on this one, I actually liked Joey, for the most part. I think many did not because it wasn't a carbon copy of Friends. Personally, I'm anti-spin-off. I'm watching and tolerating Young Sheldon because of my love of the parent series and Jim's narration, but it really doesn't need to exist.
  20. If you could have one item?

Just one thing? Oh, man. That's hard. I've always loved the Batman cookie jar, but I suppose you could find that online. I guess either of the couches from 4A or 4B, or the portrait of Amy and Penny. lol
