Season 7 Charlies last season was higher rated then any of Ashtons Taahm. I am not trying to get into anything here. But Ratings are not everything. I judge a show on its Quality not it numbers. Quality the show was killed off due to them killing off the lead. Majority opinion dictates. I know you base success on ratings. And that is fine. i was just saying quality wise. Charlie Sheen and Chuck Lorre falling out killed the quality of the show. He even acknowledge that in the last scene.

Quality cant be quantified as what is "quality" varies from person to person.

Number of viewers can and is quantified, we call it ratings. Ratings put money in the bank quality is an arbitrary judgement that adds nothing except maybe bragging rights at award season.

You cant say quality has dropped as if it is a fact it's not. It is an opinion, everyone has one, they are all different and none are fact.

Resorting to Quality arguments is a diversionary tactic for those whose opinions aren't supported by facts

I have to agree with April TAAHM was crap from episode one, you dont agree and amazingly enough none of us are wrong

He's hardly on the show. They can hardly fire him. I don't know why people take what celebrities say so seriously. He's got a right to say whatever he wants, but it doesn't require anymore scrutiny than what anyone else says.

    Couldnt agree more...

Although i will say that statements, tweets, whatever should have a point and express it without vulgarity or name calling if they want me to listen

I agree. I don't think Lenny is perfect this season by any stretch of the imagination, but as you say it's been much better than in previous past (later) seasons. I hope that little by little they write stories that will win us rabid Lennies back. I am under no illusion that we'll ever return to the "glory days", but a step in the right direction shouldn't be dismissed either. It's amazing how quickly the dark Lenny cloud started letting a very little ray of sun shine through as soon as Molaro left.

I am not especially "HAPPY" with Lenny but i am definitely hopeful for this season. To me the season so far is already funnier and more enjoyable than 95% of seasons 8,9 or 10.

Just the removal of pennys snarkiness their banter makes it much funnier to me.

The new show runner HAS made a difference and for now I am good with that :shy:

So? We're now talking about a theoretical subsection of Star Wars fans who'd usually not watch TBBT but decided to tune in that one night as a substitute to the real thing cause they couldn't get tickets? I mean honestly, that's weirdly specific and as Tensor said time and again there's nothing much to support that. Hunches can go into all sorts of directions, which was pretty much my point.

Look, I loved the tie in with Star Wars as much as you but the way the show was advertised and how it was treated in the press back then and subsequently the comments all over the internet point more towards the Shamy story being the big draw. I have a hard time thinking of anyone seeing the Shamy story advertised and thinking "wait, there could be a Star Wars joke in there - maybe I should watch!" (I mean exceptions prove the rule and all that but I'm pretty certain those don't amount to the however many millions of viewers decided to tune in for this one especially)

Yes I guess we do see things differently. I don't agree that Leonard would have told Penny on the spot. He could never do that. He would tell her whatever he thought she wanted to hear and was afraid of saying the wrong thing. Leonard was trying to win favour and it turned out worse when Kurt asked Penny out. Very sad for Leonard, yeah I get that this was what the episode was about. But I connected with Sheldon. It was Sheldon I was rooting for. He won me over, all those little things.

Aww the noble Sheldon, brave, selfless....

He reminds me of one of King Arthurs knights

Leonard was too much a sexual opportunist - he betrayed his promise to Raj when he had a relationship with Priya and he betrayed Howard with the doctor.  He seems to have situational ethics, at least about sex.

    ...and have sex with her.

    Smoke and mirrors....

    1. Raj is Priyas brother that dosent give him any legal, ethical or moral right to decide who she can or can not have a relationship with.

    2. Howard had picked Stephanie up in a bar an hour or two before and then blew it, they had no relationship to betray.

    3. Leonerd did not have sex with penny at that time yes he eventually did he also married her
