Thank you so much heres2u! :-)

Do you guys need help combing for eligible stories and/or authors? I know it must be a big job and still ongoing maybe...like I *think* for example, that all of my stories are eligible (though clearly not all worthy of course! LOL) because I only started writing in October last year, but only 2 are on the "eligible" list above, and my newest written over the last couple months isnt among them. If you'd like another hand combing story lists let me know! :-)

Whoa, BERT is back? And it sounds like he's hitting on Amy? What the actual F? We're in Fanfic land again, folks!
-
If it were the redo ep it could be a hotel room when the guys go to find their parents...

Thank you

Oh boy, ok, I'll bite. In what way is Sheldon "having a hard time" with Amy? As if...like Sheldon said long ago, they truly do have the best relationship in the group. :-)
-
@stardustmelody - it just says Coming Soon at the both of the page. It's not a refresh issue, I've never visited the page for this ep before just now.

Also didn't Prady say in an interview right after Opening Night that he can't imagine they'll wait a year to do it again? :-)

OMG, dream come true. I would seriously scream if I read this in a TR...no matter who was around. And THIS folks is what the bathroom conversation and the hug in 200 were about. Last season we had Penny say she sees him like a brother. In 200 Leonard told Sheldon he IS his brother. How can anyone think TPTB would consider destroying this with a Shenny twist in the end of the series? This is a beautiful, imperfect but loving family, all these guys and gals. Think about it - none of them have great, functional happy families of their own, so they all made one together. Happy sigh...

Yes, shamydawson said Sheldon said when thinks of throwing something away he gets a ringing in his ears, butterflies in his tummy and something about fire...he definitely actually struggles with this as a real condition. Sad.

Yes, I like that he had hidden this but opened up to her, and that he knew and was honest about the fact that this is not normal, healthy behavior. When we first heard about the storage unit in the taping, I joked that he would probably say something like he wanted to give The Smithsonian a head start for its eventual Sheldon Cooper wing. It seems like just the arrogant way the old Sheldon would respond to something like this coming to light, but he's grown and matured and because he loves her so much and trusts her (well, with a non-disclosure agreement - yes, he's "still Sheldon," thank you very much, writers), she gets to see who he really is, AND he really cares what she thinks of him as a result. Love, love, love. And yes, I agree with much of what wowbagger said, but I think so much of the theme of Sheldon in the show has been about him learning to trust. Yes, of course he had a million and one quirks/phobias/aversions/what-have-you, but the more I rewatch, the more I'm realizing I don't think the main conflict was ever about Sheldon learning he needs people, or learning to like having people in his life, I think he probably always would have wanted and liked having close relationships (it is a pretty basic human desire after all), but I think he had kept people at arm's length because he had been hurt so much as a young child he no longer trusted people. He was hurt at home (where everyone should feel safest) by his father and his siblings, hurt by neighbors, picked on by kids at school, discouraged by teachers, 'targeted' by the federal government just for trying to give his neighborhood free power, etc. The only good memories he seems to have from his formative years are of Meemaw and Pop-Pop (and trusting them got him hurt when Pop-Pop died, which also led to him getting let down by Santa) and Mary (god bless that woman!) If that's the case, that makes any instance of him opening up and trusting people with his feelings, fears, innermost thoughts, challenges, etc. really meaningful. Seeing him let Amy into something he's always kept hidden makes me happy.

It sounds like, though, in this case Amy didn't actually make any innuendo. From what shamydawson said they had Sheldon clearly make the innuendos and then Amy say "What did you have in mind?" I'm hoping this reflects her trying to figure out what he's really saying, not making assumptions. We will of course have to see how it plays out, but I like that much better than if she had said "I have an idea what we can do…" then nothing came of it.

His original laptop, whichever it was, was stolen when their apt was robbed. They said they both lost their laptops when that happened. :-(
-
The only thing from chat that I think I'd add is that it is actually Amy who surprises Sheldon with a new laptop. :-)

Oh for crying out loud! Did anyone who believes this actually watch the interview? You're acting as if she asked him "What would you really like to see happen on the show? ". Or "What is the best storyline you can imagine coming up on TBBT?" But, hello, that isn't at all what happened. She asked each cast member very specifically, if their character had a secret one night stand with another character on the show, who should it be? The idea that Jim is no fan of Shamy is a total joke. He and Mayim have said that they talk a lot about their characters and their relationship, he has said that he loves having Mayim around, that he hoped that the writers wouldn't take her away from him, he joked that they couldn't wait to rehearse for coitus, said that he wished the characters were married, that the breakup plot has been hard, and in that very same interview that you're so worried about that he hopes they do more sex scenes, and more graphically. These are all reasons he IS the captain of the Shamy Ship. One perfectly on-topic answer to a very specific question he was asked about the character does not change any of that.

I got guaranteed for my January taping but never did get any email from them until the one where they replied after I emailed them...

I actually think they've done it more. Not only with the "one thing leads to another" and vasectomy comments, but I think Amy's birthday suit line next week stongly suggests that as well. If it had been 10 weeks since they had sex, having ONLY done it on her birthday, I hardly think she would just randomly, flirtily, suggest sex that night. Had they really not done it since, I would imagine she would have realized he was serious and resigned herself to that fact by now. If we were talking about old school Shamy some might suggest that he doesn't want to do it again right now and they haven't been, and that her comment is just her pushing him for it. But I don't buy that now with Shamy 2.0. Their happy, giddy, smily relationship sure doesn't look like she has been relentlessly pestering him about sex for 10 weeks when he doesn't want to. So the only explanation I can see for her flirtatious little innuendo is that it's just a part of their relationship now...

Nope, that's definitely a Sharpie permanent marker Penny holds up at the end... :-p Still wish they hadn't used Sheldon as a prop for Lenny's conversation so we could imagine he went home with Amy instead. Yeah, I remember him saying he is "in many way a man child" and can't grow a beard. LOL

It's just the CBS website where, if you're in the US, you can watch the last couple (except the most recent) Big Bangs for free.

Sigh...happy jlove...can't stop grinnng now... Oh my gosh that's hilarious!
-
Wow, 2L344 and is this your first taping? Not sure I could stay away, being so close! It's 2.5 hours for me and requires at least an overnight and after going in Jan for the first time I'm already scheming how I can get back for more! And yeah, I did 14.5 hours in a plane from LA to Sydney...that's kinda brutal.
-
Yay, so happy for both of you - serious shippers need to get in! :-)
