  1. Or...Stockholm as in where the Nobel prize is given.
  2. Okay can we talk about how cute that picture of them in the new press photos are. This next episode is going to be a good one.
  3. I'm glad they're diving into Amy's feelings about this. I've said it before it's her accomplishment as much as his. And women receiving recognition in science is a real issue. Plus it opens the door for sheldon to comfort her.
  4. So I'm glad this latest taping report revealed we're going back to the Nobel prize arc. Even if there's no solution at the end, its comforting the writers didn't forget about it. Also we might more shamy against the world dynamic I love and hopefully some cute moments between them.
  5. I've been interning at a local publication here on long island for about six months now and I'm responsible for writing what celebrities who live here or have homes here are up to for the website. Honestly, while it's good writing experience to put on a resume, it's really turned me off to this form of news. It doesn't matter how stupid or minuscule it is, it's my job (and other writers) to pump out a minimum of 300 words and make it sound like it's the most important thing you've ever read. So I'm with you, I'm not forming an opinion until I know the wording isn't some journalist's way to make it sound more dramatic than it is. That's the job.
  6. A small but cute moment for me was when sheldon quietly closed the door so not to wake the clearly still sleeping amy. Little domestic touches like that are everything. And we know they did it three weeks ago which was in January so its official no more just on Amy's birthday.
  7. Well, the episode that's going to tape today will air on my birthday. So i'm hoping we get some good spoilers so I know what to expect.
  8. So we're just going to brush off the fact the press release said the physicists try to keep amy off the nomination. Is it because she's not a physicist, she's a woman, what? How will it be resolved, will it be resolved. As someone who loves shamy and the super asymmetry plot, and amy, this is the more important thing. It's not just sheldon, this is Amy's dream/project too.
  9. Amy's "I wish you were with me" was so cute.
  10. Typo I meant it looked like a good group plot I'm very excited for this
  11. Not a good group episode plot Not to mention a good group episode plot
  12. I'm relieved to hear that–not that I want them to be miserable, but I think it's a more in depth look into Amy's character to have her try to keep it together, rather than have her get over it or not be bothered and become annoyed by Sheldon moping (which is what they've done in the past) For me, Amy needs the encouragement from the tape as much as sheldon does, which sets it apart from similar storylines. And of course I'm glad they'll still be working together.
  13. I hope that's not just a joke, I miss those tipsy girls night episodes. 4x21 is one of my favorite episodes.
  14. Not a lot of shamy in this episode but by God I loved them.
  15. I know people have strong feelings about this episode (and they're all justified) but for me, this was such a great Amy episode. She asserted how important her field was to her, we got to see her be excited about it and called out sheldon for being selfish, a known flaw in his character, but for me, one of her own flaws was addressed. Now this is just me, but Amy is not the best at being vulnerable. Getting angry, that she's great at but expressing fears and insecurities is not her strong suit. She'll either joke or be matter-of-fact about talking about her lonely past, both clear methods of detaching the emotion from it. Here, not only did she call sheldon out on his crap but she expressed her fear of losing herself. The best part IMO, she wouldn't have done that if sheldon had let her go back to sleep. By stressing how important it was for their marriage to talk about it, it opened the door for her to be honest both with him and herself. Sheldon's "Thank you for explaining" tells me this is the first time she's ever told him that. A tired plot? Absolutely. but it explored Amy as a character and I loved it. Also, them passing math notes in the beginning like giggly teenagers was the best.
  16. I think the divide between episodes written pre-cancelation announcement and post announcement is going to be clear. Like it was said this episode, while funny in some parts feels like the typical trend of when a new season starts we get some painful ones out of the way. Like the beginning of season 11. This was before they knew it was going to be the last one. So once we get later in the season I predict an immediate shift in writing because they can't waste time anymore.
  17. Good news is, Alex Ayers is writing 12x5. She's a huge shamy fan, look at 10x23. So at least we know the story is in good hands, by someone who respects our babies. In fact I want to talk about the press release, one: it specified the word "accidently" which in no way excuses whatever Sheldon will do but it does show that it wasn't done with malice or anything like that. Two: Consider this, Sheldon and Amy had this wonderful joint project in season 10...but then Amy went to Princeton, and then she had to set up a new lab, plus all the wedding planning on top of that and now she's working with Howard. None of this is Amy's fault in any way (and I'm beyond ecstatic she's had such success on her own lately) but if the timeline is being followed Sheldon and Amy have not worked together, exclusively for over a year. Now at their wedding they make a new discovery—one that Sheldon insisted credit was shared, something they could finally work together with, something that could be groundbreaking but because of Howard or maybe something else Amy doesn't have time for it. I've grown tired of these "Sheldon messes up and has to learn a lesson" plots but I think this time there's more meat to it. At least in context. It was said in an interview that they were going to focus on Amy as a scientist and as a wife. 12x2 made me so happy in showing the fun of them both being odd, both living in their own weird world. And if this conflict leads to development for both of them I will be very happy. I'm enjoying season 12 so far that's for sure.
  18. Disclaimer: nothing prompted this, just a thought I had Just re-watched the scene where Penny asked Sheldon about whether or not he and Amy will have a physical relationship. I realized that whenever this topic is brought up, the language Sheldon uses is very specific of the fact that the problem is him. (His issues with intimacy, his issues with touching etc). And even in season 6 when the scene took place, he said he was working on those issues (3 seasons before 9x11) I know it seems redundant given where the couple is now physically, I just wanted to place this reminder that Sheldon never once said the problem is Amy, that they were his issues to work through. And now we're in season 11 where he calls her beautiful without prompting or hesitation. So beautiful that Sheldon Cooper briefly lost his train of thought when he went to talk to her in the finale. (and when he first saw the dress now that I think about it). Now that they're married, I hope we see more of this, and see them continue to explore the more physical parts of the relationship, and more of science working together. Also more of Amy with her hair up like in the bonus clip, she looked so good like that.
  19. During the vows, I loved the bit about Amy's study disproving love at first sight. Because it's in character and we know Sheldon read it and loved it. Just imagine, after they met, Sheldon looks into her work to learn more about her, and the seeds of his affection being planted. Texting each other discussing it. loved their season 3/4 early romance.
  20. all you need to know is that it confirmed our babies had their genetically superior babies. It wasn't shown but Sheldon as narrator said it.
  21. Okay, this is random and stupid, but...when I found out that James Maslow was going to be in 11x20 I made a connection that no one has mentioned yet. (I'm going to reveal just how young I really am) Context: in 1966 there was a show called The Monkees that starred a band of the same name. My parents introduced us to it when we were little. It was hokey but a lot of fun and the music was strangely good. (my family owns the cd album and we watched the DVDs) So naturally when nickelodeon made a "modern" version of the show in 2009 (Big Time Rush) with the same hokey humor and silliness, I enjoyed watching it. Especially since the show came out when I was still in elementary school and then lasted till I finished middle school. James Maslow played the "pretty boy" of the band Big Time Rush (which was a short lived real life band) in the show. Honestly I enjoyed his character a lot. I thought he was funny. It was stupid, but (for me) fun stupid. so yeah just a little history on the guest star. It'll be interesting to see him in something else.
  22. Sheldon's thoughts during Amy's riverdance "How long till our honeymoon again? Wowza I can't wait." Seriously, I love this TR. The tag scene really stood out to me and here's why. First off, a lovely good morning cheek kiss and then a more passionate one, yes thank you. Second, while it was sweet to hear Amy say she'll always love Sheldon even if he's not a hyper focused successful scientist, we've heard that before. Here we get the other side too. Amy, while still holding on to her interests and just as socially awkward, isn't always going to be that serious well behaved person. AKA the person she was when sheldon met her, and we got to hear him reassure her that he'll still love her. The reassurance wasn't one sided. That, to me, is what transcends this episode from a great one, to a exceptional one. I am really excited to see it.
  23. So Sheldon and Amy have seen La la land 4 times together and both love the soundtrack. That whole interaction in that scene was adorable to me. Amy not guessing sex when Sheldon hinted was just so pure. I've said it before, I love when Amy "missed the mark" too.
  24. He had planned to work, but he didn't have the right incentive. I am a high grade student, but procrastination can still drag me for hours. He wanted to get work done but couldn't. It happens to all of us.
