  1. A show where Stuart/Denise + Raj/Lucy get to be the other 4 outside of Penny/Leonard/Sheldon/Amy would have been something pretty classic
  2. Howard never showed any signs of character development, it's sad that Raj is being remembered as all the awful things he was Definitely some misattribution and people could benefit from watching s1-s6 again with these lousy takes about Raj
  3. Someone as worthless and small as Howard got married first, but Raj never gets married Truly this show does not have a sense of justice in terms of who deserved to have a loving relationship by the end
  4. Here's the most satisfying finale possible in my mind: Sheldon and Penny wind up having sex in the elevator, that's how Penny gets pregnant On-stage during the Nobel speech, Sheldon doubles down instead of apologizing, and reveals the truth behind the child's conception while taunting Leonard jumps on stage and tries to kill him, Amy lands a good few kicks, it becomes quite a televised spectacle Long story story, Penny/Leonard and Amy/Sheldon both have ugly and lengthy divorce battles We have a time skip to a few years later, it looks like Nobel winner Sheldon has acce
  5. I think what I've come to understand is that not having the taping report really hurt this finale, it made "unraveling the mystery" a downer for expectations. So many articles made it sound like Big Bang Theory was done slacking around and was about to use its time well for a bunch of curveballs. What we got were several moments of padding/bickering, certain moments of fanservice they should not have pandered to (Amy conforming to the audience beauty standards), and something that felt like it didn't have the time to be ambitious. I think more went into marketing the event than the s
  6. Raj was probably over half the reason I even followed the show's 12th season, let alone the past 3 years The arranged marriage should have gone through, even if it ended in divorce I hate that they chickened out of it because there were ways to explore Raj through it that went unrealized Raj being Amy's makeover pal and gushing over a celebrity is all he did in the finale, just enforcing my family member's belief they are gay What a low blow
  7. One of the worst TV finales I have ever seen. Whoa, Penny and Leonard with an accident, what are abortions again? (Rhetorical question, let's hope Penny remembered to get one when they got back from Stockholm). Also talk about lazy jokes about her appetite changing. Sheldon and Amy's chemistry was all off, partially due to the forced drama (the jerk then grand gesture thing is really what they staked the entire climax on). I felt nothing. I was actually beginning to cheer for the unconventional Lorre ending where everyone actually kicks Sheldon out of their life and he ends up alone
  8. Perhaps 2 PM-6PM of that TBS marathon is worth the memory jog
  9. So the Anu storyline really was just there to keep things occupied (which is better than Raj doing no relationships but yeah that brings Season 12 down another notch) Raj will meet a new friend in the finale however, possibly someone who likes everything he likes, doesn't specify girl or guy though Mitch was a fun obstacle for Stuart/Denise, glad the move-in thing from Paintball got resolution
  10. We will need the tissue box for Raj Raj will make the first real bold choice of the group
  11. https://whatculture.com/tv/11-reasons-the-big-bang-theory-is-the-worst-thing-on-tv "The Big Bang Theory is a really remarkable thing. You might think you like it, but you're wrong. You've just been afflicted with a very particular strain of comedy Stockholm Syndrome, because it's on constantly."
  12. There's a cynical way to look at the last title, in fact it is very meta As I'm pretty sure everyone here has Stockholm Syndrome with the series by now
  13. Everyone breaking the hold Sheldon had on their souls and spreading their wings like butterflies Big Bang Theory was a story about surviving victims of an unhealthy clique all along
  14. It is my pleasure to announce the two last Big Bang Theory titles 1223: The Change Constant 1224: The Stockholm Syndrome
  15. Ecstatic at something life changing actually happening prior to the last rushed 40 minutes I guess we'll see if Raj chooses his friends or Anu
  16. Being a millionaire is not equivalent to having kids, because one gains you money and one loses you money
  17. Leonard was a big cause of the thwarting of Campbell/Pemberton, and the Procreation Calculation said besides a Batmobile he wanted a Nobel Sheldon's Nobel win will be with his best friend and wife at his side, realistic or not and once he gets that the finale can also stay brave on no Lenny pregnancy Raj/Anu are likely to have a child, we know Shamy will have a child, and Howardette already reached full capacity Do you want Lenny to be special or not?
  18. So I've noticed that it looks like Raj's past girlfriends are back At his wedding maybe? Honestly just having him and Anu not work out off-screen and having him reconnect with Lucy would be stronger for me as a Raj fan Lucy was back when it felt like they gave a damn, and if she can't be a series regular, Lucy can at least be a finale twist without draining their bank
  19. Howard's plot amounted to "hey remember when Howard scoped out girls?" and not even using a Cheesecake Factory scene or guest girl for it made it especially extraneous. Too many plots this year are relying on member berries. Pemberton and Campbell are eliminated as threats by an undeniably absurd Kripke plot device (the odds of them going to college together, are we to just take it that Kripke knows every other sleaze besides himself?). This now either means a Shamy cake walk or a twinge of disappointment that they don't win it even with their names as the primary ones. P.S. Of cours
  20. So why does it look like Raj is at an airport and leaving to somewhere, possibly France? Was the Stuart/Denise subplot a red herring for something that actually sets up Raj for the finale?
  21. I think Jim and Mayim probably should've hosted the retrospective, considering they were the main characters
  22. Slow clap for remembering the planetarium existed. Too bad that was a spectacularly bad Raj plot, and low for even this show if that's his final one. First, Anu is given one scene and thrown to the side instead of being able to play off Raj's feelings the full time. Howard and Bernadette probably had more lines than Raj did, because everything Raj does has to pass through them. There was just no punchline here, I don't buy that Raj would be taken out of context like this at all in the real world. Talking about Lady Gaga instead of actual science, just do your homework writers. Leonard hav
  23. "THURSDAY, MAY 16 THE BIG BANG THEORY (8:00-9:00 PM) – SPECIAL ONE HOUR SERIES FINALE Leonard (Johnny Galecki), Sheldon (Jim Parsons), Penny (Kaley Cuoco), Wolowitz (Simon Helberg), Raj (Kunal Nayyar), Amy (Mayim Bialik) and Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) star in the special one-hour series finale. THURSDAY, MAY 16 YOUNG SHELDON (9:00-9:30 PM) “A Swedish Science Thing and the Equation for Toast” – Sheldon (Iain Armitage) invites the entire school to a party for the Nobel Prize announcements. Also, Meemaw (Annie Potts) learns more about Dr. Sturgis’ (Wallace Shawn) past, and Georgie’
  24. Beverly being on her death bed is the only reason I'd accept a story this late with Beverly, though I'm not sure how Leonard's mother's funeral would set up finale I'm not mad Stuart/Denise have a plot, I'm mad that it's "haha we're bumming out at the Wolowitz house again" plot, which has never been a funny situation and never will be despite how hard the writers try to make it a thing
  25. Oh boy, another episode where Bernadette doesn't allow Howard to have a hobby while Raj acts as a background foil to Howard's every move. Isn't it fun when everyone plays the exact role they've played in 100 other side plots? Plus Bert's paired up even though I could care less if his wife was a pet rock. Deprivation sequences were cringy, writer execution is the real thing failing Amy and womankind here. Sheldon singing Soft Kitty is the kind of thing that is mandatory from final season, and a cute Shamy moment, best part of the episode.
