  1. Yes it is true everyone contributed to Sheldon's behavior because he doesn't mean it. That is just lame and I really think he knew exactly what he was doing. And yes his mother coddled him too much to the point that he expected that attitude from everyone he came in contact with. I caught a couple of Young Sheldon episodes and he was as obnoxious and condescending to his family as a ten year old as he was in adult life.
  2. I liked these episodes as well but I remember more the ones where they let Sheldon win: the itchy sweater where he manipulated by lying and deceit, the blackmail of Priya so he can get his way in the roommate agreement (just a despicable act to a best friend), getting his baby way when Leonard bought a table so they could all eat comfortably, ( a truly whining rant about having a RA meeting which Leonard did not want to attend and subsequently having Penny side with him instead of her husband (a truly uncharacteristic and rude act by Penny), and of course the selfish act of whining that everyone is leaving him. (probably because he would not have anyone to cater to him)
  3. This is so true I never understood why the writers had to wait almost a year and a half for Penny and Leonard to live by themselves as a married couple. And for Sheldon to behave like a petulant child when they told him they wanted to live together without him was such a selfish act by a best friend, colleague and roommate. He just did not grasp the concept that his friendship with Leonard was secondary to Leonard and Penny marriage.
  4. Another deep insight into Kaley's inner turmoil while filming TFA 2. Great read
  5. Think they were both crying into each others shoulder knowing this was their last scene together. Sad moment indeed
  6. Yeah I read the other day that Tom Pelphrey signed on to do a project plus he is supposed to do another season of "Outer Range" Yes, we shall see how this plays out and I hope for their sake it lasts through these schedules of being apart. Just do not see the difference between these schedules with Tom and that with Karl. Maybe she is just dealing with them better. she did say she made mistakes with Karl.
  7. WOW Another project in the works. After this current movie "Role Play" is wrapped she has now three projects on the horizon: the Doris Day biopic, A Season with Mom, and now "Based on a True Story" plus if they decide to do season three of The Flight Attendant and possibly season four of Harley Quinn. It is no wonder she doesn't want to get married again (or start a family.) All I can say is more power to her. Because she seems to be in so much demand she probably has rejected as many offers that she receives. She deserves all the recognition she gets. Plus "Meet Cute" with Pete Davidson has yet to be released
  8. Wow We probably can name hundreds of scenes and dialogue that the continuity factor was abused
  9. Once again Tensor you make some very good points and you mention season seven to eleven as a period where the writing for P&L was lacking. But I was thinking more after they got married (seasons nine to twelve) Many fans did not like season eight but I kind of thought this was a season especially the first 9-10 episodes that P&L were the lead stories. But after they married their stories became less and less. Yes there were times when they talked but the conversations did not go deep enough to resolve anything. One instance i recall is when Penny felt that Leonard was taking her for granted and goes to the spa with Amy instead of Leonard. Leonard arrives at the spa to talk things out with Penny but instead of showing this scene they show Shamy in conversation. Maybe the book will shed some light on these type of situations.
  10. I think this is true Even though Penny had her snarky moments toward Leonard deep down she truly loved him. Wasn't she the one that brought up marriage when they got engaged and wasn't she the one that suggested they go to Las Vegas to get married? It just seems to me that because of her "street savvy and smarts" it was more adaptable for her to bust on Leonard and he really didn't seem to mind as long as she woke up next to him in the morning. And as I have mentioned in a previous post the writers did not know how to write for P&L as a loving mature married couple.
  11. Yeah They never really explored P&L relationship fully. Even up to the final episode where they sprung the pregnancy on us instead of explaining why Penny did not want children and have them talking about having a family in one or two episodes during the season. I just don't think the writers knew how to express this as they were comedy writers first. Another thing that bothered me was the disgraceful way Beverly was to her own son, The worst was when P&L got engaged and Leonard tells his mother and she responds with "Sheldon already has told me of your engagement and if she is good enough for him she is good enough for me" What an insensitive and disgraceful thing to say to your own son. Sheldon had no right to tell Beverly of P&L engagement and if I were Leonard I would have told his mother to stay out of my life. End of rant Yeah he couldn't get women on his own so he went after the ones he knew disregarding the "bro-code"
  12. I agree Raj is always making remarks like that. It is as if they break up he will get another crack at her.......would never happen!
  13. Looks that way Hopefully he is looking for a new place possibly more child friendly. If he stays in Tennessee then maybe his career is going in another direction.
  14. Totally agree Why do the writers always upstage P&L. In their bliss of an engagement announcement they get pushed aside for Raj's sex life.......really WTH? Then like you mention in their first wedding Sheldon is his overbearing obnoxious self and makes everyone miss the ceremony. In P&L redo wedding Sheldon becomes an even bigger a.....hole and is more obnoxious and insulting the whole episode, even to his own mother. And in the final episodes they brush aside P&L baby announcement with Shamy quest for the Nobel prize. Such blatant disregard for TBBT core couple. End of rant
  15. Just because she didn't write anything on IG does not mean she didn't speak with him.
  16. He is still with her in Germany but it is his birthday tomorrow so there might be some news
  17. Don't think he lost his passion for acting just maybe wants to use his talent to write and produce. Would be very surprised if he gave up acting all together.
  18. Yes I recall all that and she was excellent in this role. Also, if I further recall this film was shot in Alburquerque, NM and when she auditioned for the part the producer did not even know who she was. So she completely won this part. A total withdrawl from her Penny character.
  19. You could be right (and probably are) I just seem to recall a scene at the end of the film with her and a child
  20. In Kaley's latest IG post she captions the photo with "First time movie mom" I believe she played a mom in the film "Burning Bodhi"
  21. Well deserved and congratulations to them. She should win it this time.
  22. Yes in the episode when Sheldon spends time with Raj in his lab. They discover a small asteroid and of course Sheldon wants total credit for it and gives the name Amy
  23. I agree with you and how you so eloquently expressed the dissatisfaction many Lenny fans had. Not only was "the weird other husband" line inappropriate but also the line Sheldon said about his mother and Leonard's father fornicating. That was totally disgraceful and had no place at a wedding. Sometimes I think the writers just throw lines out there for a quick laugh and don't think of how badly they sound.
  24. There is a recent article in Looper that suggests that Leonard and Penny got the short end of the stick in their marriages. I agree as this has bothered me as well. Their first marriage was an elopement with the albatross of Leonard's indiscretion hanging over them (a ridiculous storyline to say the least) and then their redo marriage ceremony with all their family and friends was blighted by Sheldon's inappropriate and obnoxious behavior in the whole episode. Including his injection into their embrace when pronounced man and wife. The article goes on to say that Bernadette and Howard's wedding while not perfect did have some warm scenes. But Sheldon and Amy's wedding had very little faults with all the guests and family attending and did not have a single wrinkle. Why did the writers make their wedding so much more enjoyable than L&P. As Leonard and Penny were the core couple from the beginning they could have made their wedding much more appealing to the fans. And why didn't they show some scenes from the reception.......I guess time did not allow for it. So much for my rant
