  1. This is not just regular shows. The Emmy Awards this year only got 6.9 million viewers. It has never dropped below ten million before.
  2. LOL! You've been saying that since the show started.
  3. I don't think people could look at that and not see Leonard and Penny. But that's just my opinion.
  4. i don't watch awards shows because I never know what half of the stuff on them is but I am glad to hear that they did this. I was watching Ken Burn's new documentary on PBS.
  5. Rose just rubbed me the wrong way. I thought she was one of the three worst companions ever. I agree about the parallel universe stuff. His granddaughter was Susan. People debated for a long time if she was actually his granddaughter and he was married or if she just called him grandfather. But that was in the late 60's., The show premiered the day JFK was shot in Dallas. I think they played it again the next week because everyone was watching the news. There were no VCRs or anything like that then. I thought they DID do a good job recasting the first Doctor when they brought him back for The Five Doctors episode. Hurndall did a good job of capturing Harnell's spirit. The Three Doctors and The Five Doctors are two of my favorite eps. It does not surprise me that Doctor Who was one of the things the guys knew all about on TBBT.
  6. I hate it when I'm driving in the car and a song on the radio has a siren on it. That always startles me. I haven't watched in a long time. They lost me with Rose. I thought she was the most annoying companion since Peri and Teegan. And her falling in love with the Doctor was the dumbest idea I think they ever had. But that's probably just me. My youngest daughter went all the way to Kentucky once to see Matt Smith.
  7. They didn't scare me because I always figured you could just run up a flight of stairs and they would be screwed. I found Cybermen much more scary. And the Master. Both classic Who Masters, although I loved Roger Delgado dearly. The first Master regeneration was done well. To get off Who for awhile I thought this was also interesting... https://metro.co.uk/2019/09/10/big-bang-theory-spin-off-young-sheldon-faces-272000-fine-breaking-broadcasting-rules-10717591/
  8. Show her this site...the biggest Who store in the US is in Indiana. http://www.whona.com/
  9. I'd love to find something similiar to that for my son's girlfriend. They just got engaged two weeks ago but he's talked about this for years. I keep watching recollections.biz for something along those lines. They make historical costuming and have lots of Victorian things.
  10. I like the Classic Doctor Who. My favorite was Jon Pertwee. My oldest son's favorite is Patrick Troughton. He wants a Doctor Who wedding and wants to dress like Patrick did. I also like Keeping Up Appearances and Are you Being Served.
  11. I go to a movie maybe once or twice a month. I would like to see the Downton Abbey movie and I'm also hoping to get over to see The Goldfinch and Modern Love.
  12. I totally agree with this. And most of them are not as good as the original. I can think of a few exceptions, but not many.
  13. I don't think he knows what he's doing with that yet. There have been conflicting statements. I don't think they've hashed out what kind of recurring we're talking about. He’s going to be more of a "regular" on The Conners, according to E! News Online. He's going to be there on a recurring basis "as much as possible" according to what he said on tvline. (Link below) So who knows at this point. Maybe no one does yet. https://tvline.com/2019/02/12/the-conners-season-2-johnny-galecki-returning-david/
  14. I didn't take it that way. I took it as the big three together again or nothing. This is not a normal summer though. I know they're busy but I thought they'd at least ask each how they are doing, what have they been doing, or tell Johnny that his baby reveal party was cute, or something. They know this time they are not getting back together in the fall, so it's not like a normal break. None of them are. And I don't think dealing with a newborn or chasing a toddler will make Johnny look better over the next couple of years. Those first few years can be frazzling.
  15. Good for him. It should have ended, it did end and that's it. Lorre felt the show wasn't viable without any of the big three, and so do I, and from this, if it's true, so does Johnny. It's especially telling that the article says Kaley told People that she hadn't spoken to any of the rest of the cast since the show ended. Johnny did say on instagram that he was up for at least a couple of seasons on the Connors, so spinoffs aren't his problem, just this one apparently. But maybe it's just too soon.
  16. Interesting. I don't have FX so I've never seen it but it will have its 14th season start this month so, it will tie “The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet” for longest-running live-action TV comedy in history. https://www.chicagotribune.com/entertainment/tv/ct-ent-its-always-sunny-in-philadelphia-longest-running-tv-20190905-yc77amzmqvhcnbhawgvtlms44q-story.html?fbclid=IwAR2FkwChgFy2GtKLB59vuubqsv0FLP_l3WyXwg5XSBrFUitNKDw-3o0q65M
  17. We don't know at what point they would have decided to end it if Jim hadn't done it at the beginning. And Johnnys relationship was serious and they were obviously thinking of starting a family or I think Johnny would have avoided doing so. I still say Kaley and Johnny are friends but he would not have based another decision on her. She doesn't run his business life and the show was all but done anyway. He hadn't had good storylines to work with for a couple of years.
  18. I totally disagree. They are friends but they do not run each other's business lives. Johnny is in a new relationship with a new baby. If there is any time to take some time to yourself it's when you are going to have a new baby on your hands. If the big three manage it well they have enough money to live on for the rest of their lives, and live quite well. None of them has to work at all if they don't want to. But it had been made clear to everyone that if ANY of the big three left the show was done. So Johnny leaving would have done the exact same thing Jim leaving did, except Johnny would have taken the flak for it, not Jim. And resigning didn't do a heck of a lot for Lenny storylines last time. He probably wouldn't think, based on that experience, that it was going to improve much if he signed again. I know some people think they owed something to the rest of the cast and the crew, but everyone in this business knows how it works. Nothing lasts forever and they were lucky to have the years together that they did.
  19. I've always believed in my heart that if Jim hadn't ended it Johnny would have. I totally agree. This can't have a long run as I see it. Are they really going to continue it with Sheldon at college, going through the same things he went through in high school but with taller kids? I don't see it working long term.
  20. I'll be surprised if they spin off, but I am going to watch and see how Young Sheldon goes. If it tanks, I think they will not think about it for awhile. if it chugs along, I think they might consider it. That's not based on what I want. It's based on how I think the showrunners think.
  21. Has anyone heard anything about the sitcom The Inn Crowd, the show Jim Parsons was supposed to start working on for NBC? I heard he was supposed to be doing another sitcom and then heard nothing more. I've been swamped with work and remodeling my house, though. I could have missed something. I know he's supposed to get as much as $20 million a year in syndication money for as long as TBBT reruns are on the air.
