Hi guys, is anyone planning on going to see Jim on live stage in the play “A man of no importance” in New York this fall?
-
Hi Aeverett, thank you for bringing this topic up. I’ve just had a beautiful idea about how the show could end. Since it is being narrated by Sheldon at some point in the future, Jim and Mayim could appear as an older version of Sheldon and Amy: A: (The door of apartment 5A is shown; it opens and we see Amy standing over the stove. The living room looks exactly like the one in 4A) (Amy calls) “Sheldon, dinner is ready” S: (the camera moves to the window where we see a spiral staircase) (Sheldon calls) “I’ll be there in a minute!” A: (moves up the staircase to the roof where we see more rooms. She enters the study and dries her hands in a kitchen towel): “Are you still writing your memoirs?” S: (sitting over a huge photo album that is full of pictures from Young Sheldon scenes) “Actually I have just finished the chapter where I started going to college. I have so many photographs of my childhood up until that time. I remember it vividly“ (Sheldon is browsing through the Photoalbum and we see more pictures of YS scenes) A: (Amy stands over him and strokes his shoulder while they both look contemplating at the pictures; music plays; the pictures slowly become sepia-coloured ). THE END

Sorry, I have been away for a while so I am not sure whether anyone has noticed the little comment about Amy being in labour in this episode. It might have been discussed elsewhere. We all already know that Sheldon and Amy are going to have kids, but I guess us Shamy fans would like to know more details about when and how that happened 😊. I still want to hear the discussion about the 15 children issue and how they are approaching the whole topic in general. I am sure that there will be a tight schedule around certain dates 😉. Anyhow other than the hints on Shamy’s progression I like the way the show is developing in terms of character growth and difficult teenage topics to tackle with. -

Sorry, can’t watch the videos ... -
Hi guys, I am flashing in to give you something back. In order to cope with the loss of the show I made a little contingency plan for myself. There are so many elements of the show / stories worth exploring that I think that anyone who liked it will find something for themselves. In my case it is learning more about comics. I have been starting with the DC universe and are now watching the Flash TV show. I cannot tell you how much I like like it. While watching it I understand more and more why Sheldon liked the character so much and besides any BBT relations I think the show is truly good. After the Flash I will probably watch Arrow and so forth goes the list. I am sure that after exploring a lot of my list I will revisit Big Bang and have probably even more fun than ever. Anyway I hope this helps a little in dealing with the situation as it is. Will flash out now again. Live long and prosper 😊🖖

Sheldon lies head down in the sofa because he is upset. Shamy both walk around in their nightgowns for most of the episode which is very intimate. They converse about the tape and Sheldon’s father. Amy tries to hold it together for both of them, but the atmosphere is tense. They are both still devastated. I cannot remember any kisses, hugs or a bed scene. I guess, we’ll have to write some fanfiction about that if we want to 😉

Sorry for the late reply. Well, it is actually Bernie who encourages Howard to do his magic again “professionally” (!). It is sweet but she soon regrets it 😉. I am hesitant to give away the jokes. I am not good with spoilers myself and most of the time I regret having read them...

Hi Babar, I can confirm the title of the episode!

Hi guys, there seem to be no details about the thanksgiving taping, so I’ll fill you in a little. Sorry for not posting earlier. This was due to travelling and illness. To start with I was surprised that everything that had been taped, had already been broadcast. So we got to see 1209 which had already aired before the taping. 1210 is a direct continuation of 1209 “The Citation Negation”. I’ll give you the name of the episode when I am home and have dug out the little program of the show. There are lots of guest stars: Iain Armitage, Lance Barber, Montana Jordon and Christine Baranski. I almost screamed when I read this so my excitement was huge 😊. Sheldon is still upset about the Russian Paper so Amy goes over to Lenny to find out if there is anything she can do that she hasn’t tried yet to cheer him up. Leonard suggests tea but Amy tells him that Sheldon now questions everything and has renamed tea into “leaf soup” 😉 So Leonard gives Amy an old video cassette and VCR with a recording Sheldon had apparently made as a child for himself for an emergency like this. We get to see the first minutes of the tape (Iain speaks) but then the tape changes to a football match his father had taped so the original footage is gone. Sheldon is devastated. Leonard’s mother is video chatted for advice. While Sheldon is in the bedroom Amy continues to watch the video. After a while Sheldon comes out and asks “why are you watching this”? Amy explains that she hoped that there is something left of the recording. It is then when we get to see Lance Barber talking to his football team including Montana. The team had lost horribly so Lance explains that you actually learn more from mistakes than from success (this is actually very sweet). Both Amy and Sheldon are surprised to see his dad on tape. Then Amy begins thinking that they have made a mistake and that the Russian paper could be right but that there are more sides to super asymmetry (sorry, I can’t remember the exact wording). So in the end they are both back on track. There is a little side story where Howard plays “the great Howdini” which is quite funny. I liked this episode a lot because of its depth and the character development. It is also beautifully written and the video tape is an excellent means to bring in the Young Sheldon characters. If you have any questions please ask, I’ll try to answer them.

Hi guys, I think I agree with all of your comments about the Citation Negation episode. This may sound strange but I liked the plot. Simply because stories like that bring out the best in Shamy as well as Jim’s and Mayim’s acting skills. It is good to see Shamy grow and stick through difficult times which is actually real life. It is the kind of thing I want to see even if it is not comedy material any more. Maybe this needed to be done to have an almost mid season turning point from a dramatic writing point of view. There could be a hidden agenda like Howard’s translation of the paper wasn’t accurate or that they find something in the paper to disprove like @Die Zimtzicke already suggested. Another idea would be to have them revisit their quantum cognition project after they have recovered. It would actually be a project that is more focused on Amy’s area of expertise. It would be interesting to see how Sheldon reacts to it in the long run. Anyway, my missing FanFiction scene in this is seeing both of them in bed, still hurting while Sheldon starts hugging and stroking Amy because he cannot stand seeing her sad. That really causes Amy and then both of them to break down into tears. Which is in the end the beginning of the healing process. Well, there are plenty of story options for this one, aren’t there? Do we know if anyone is going to the Thanksgiving taping? I am surprised that we already got to see episode 9. So we are really up to date and there will be no unaired show to watch at the taping!

Maybe alignment with the progressing writing of TBBT? I am hoping that there is a hidden agenda which will only become clearer to us in time and at certain critical points like in the last episode of TBBT 😊

You know after the initial shock which didn’t sink in yet ... I think we all knew that it would come to this some day . Where is Sheldon’s brown bag? While this doesn’t help I can really now see Shamy appear in Young Sheldon at a later date. Those of you who follow YS might agree. The writers could come up with beautiful stories because it all depends at which age Sheldon is actually narrating his autobiography. It has already made been clear in YS 0122 that he is “older” as he talks about his wife and children. I for one hope for the best. Things might turn out beautifully and Jim has also a saying in YS 😊

What thing with his house? Thanks 😊

I don’t know, but I could really picture them going to Europe. There are plenty of things for both of them to enjoy. The large hadron collider in Switzerland and lots of trains for Sheldon, history and romantic places for Amy. Anyway I want them to be happy, make lots of love, now that it is legal and talk about super asymmetry anywhere they go. It’s their baby after all 😊

Thanks! 😊 Wearing your own ring on screen ... I can understand the notion and I probably would also want to use my own ring ... but ... doesn't it also has a kind of a symbolic meaning for the screen relationship you are having with your significant partner actor? It could mean that you are letting this person in to be a part of your life? In this case it would mean both Melissa and Amy would have to wear the same rings as Simon and Jim wear in real life? Maybe we should move this discussion to the Shamy thread 😉
