I first discovered Chuck's vanity cards while looking information up on IMDB about Dharma and Greg. I love his irreverent comments and his way of biting the hand that feeds him. Chuck Lorre is an interesting guy, and I find it hilarious that he seemingly spends as much time writing the vanity cards as he does writing and producing the show.

I pretty much usually ignore the laugh tracks of shows. I do realize that they can become obtrusive. I also understand that some people can't just ignore them. I just try to pay attention to the show itself, and decide where I want to laugh. Usually it's not where they place the canned laughter. I know that when I watch the DvDs I have from MASH, I turn off the laugh track. It's a shame we don't have that option on live TV.
