  1. I don't know much about p2p mmos, but I suppose almost all of them have a choice to pay for unlimited subscription if it's not already f2p after purchasing, which can be up to about $200+ I've heard. I'll definitely buy GW2 if it's not way out of my price range. And as for TSW... there's still not much info on it, except that it'll be released in the US by April this year. I hope that's not too expensive either, cause it looks kickass. Thanks for the suggestion. Had a little LotR obsession for a while, so I'll check it out.
  2. Yeah, it wasn't all that bad until you get up to the city and start to get more of a Silent Hill vibe.. those "suiciders" really remind me of the smog monsters in Silent Hill. Ugh.. it feels so suffocating. I'm thinking about starting to get into p2p MMOs. I've got my sights mainly set on The Secret World and Guild Wars 2. What does anyone make of those games? Do you think they'll be worth it?
  3. Hey it's been a while since I came back here cause I kinda lost interest in the show.. but now I've been seeing the ads on TV and... Sheldon asked out Penny?! Now I definitely have to catch up. Anyway, I thought I'd revive this thread. My brother recently bought Dead Island and I've been playing it religiously. Scary shiz!
  4. Yeah, I didn't like "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" either, and this is coming from a big Pirates fan. Most of the crew that made the movie great were gone, Ian McShane wasn't nearly as evil as he was hyped up to be, and it was pretty futile without Will and Elizabeth's story arc. They should've left it at Pirates 3, and even Johnny Depp acknowledged that. But generally I wasn't expecting it to be that great, because I'd been following the making of the film for ages, since it started in June last year.
  5. Haha, good interview. Actually I think Rove was better in Australia, but this was still great.
  6. I've been looking elsewhere for good TV suggestions, and I've found some other pretty great shows. Breaking Bad, Pushing Daisies and Suits are all excellent series you can't miss.
  7. Maybe a couple of seasons from now, yeah. Characters develop over time and realise new things. He might realise that he likes kids and he might want to start a family, or he might realise he needs a heir to continue his work when he's not around. He claimed it was a waste to have sex with someone for reasons other than reproduction, not a waste to start a family. I think Sheldon would want that at some point of his life.
  8. Too bad I can't enjoy this. I'd buy myself a hard copy, but I don't have a computer to play it with. ;~; There's always Christmas...
  9. Nah, it was a comment for bigfan89 I was just asking because you were only one who's apologised for your opinion in this thread so far. =p
  10. Are you talking to yourself...? ^ (Someone may need to get tested :O)
  11. A lot of the guys here seem pretty pissed about the news... I think, as fans, we should just respect her decision even if it turns out awry in the end. Yes, celebrity marriages typically don't last long because they are required to travel away and bond with their other co-stars, but sometimes miracles happen.
  12. You're not alone, bigfan89. I think for every alternate universe branched from Sheldon and Penny's decisions, there just wouldn't be one where they were together as a couple, but we can dream.
  13. That's what I meant by this: I was just addressing the op's problems, not talking about Leonard. To be honest to god, I wouldn't date him either. I agree with Threelions' understanding. Most young women aren't searching for commitments, they want fun. They don't want someone that's too rigid to step out of their comfort zone. I'm not going to say that it's phooey to like the bad boy image, it's not my cup of tea but it could be someone else's. I just don't want to be treated with disrespect to maintain a reputation for the guy, as if it were the only thing that mattered to him. I

    Amy.

Sorry to hijack the thread but this caught my eye as I was skimming over. There's definitely a lot of funny women in showbiz. I think "Suits" is one show where they give the prominent female characters the better lines. Sarah Rafferty's zealous humour and Gina Torres' smooth wit was always a joy whenever they had screen time. You'd smile whenever the male cast quipped and joked, but with the women you really laughed. Kaley Cuoco in TBBT and Cobie Smulders and Alyson Hannigan in HIMYM also get equally good lines as the guys (apart from Barney and Sheldon), and there are thousands more examples.
  15. Congratulations to Kaley. Seems like the whole cast is getting hitched now.
  16. For one thing, this is a sitcom and isn't supposed to accurately mirror the shortcomings in relationships that real nerds experience. It's true that no woman would want to date someone who doesn't have any pride in themselves, or would rather spend their time glued to a TV set than with her, and it's true that she would probably be thrown off by the collectables of childish gizmos and whatnot. But a woman probably wouldn't care (or if she does, she'd probably overlook) someone's fixation with dorky odds and ends if he carried himself confidently. I'm sorry if you're having problems in this
  17. My recs for PS2: • Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 • Silent Hill 2, 3 and 4 • If you played Heavy Rain for PS3, try Indigo Prophecy (a.k.a. Fahrenheit) • Medal of Honour: Frontline • Tomb Raider: Legend • Hitman: Blood Money • SOCOM • Max Payne • You've probably already played them, but Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 • Fatal Frame (a.k.a. Project Zero) 1, 2 and 3 A bit of variety there for you, but there all pretty great games. x)
  18. I don't really watch TV on the box, but if I were I'd be watching How I Met Your Mother reruns. I used to watch it on the TV all the time, and it's one of the funniest shows out there among TBBT.
  19. I usually don't have much patience with games either, but sometimes I surprise myself. Like when I was playing Tomb Raider: Legend, there's a boss fight where you can't kill the boss, but there's this confusing contraption that has to be reset. Took me forever to work out, but I did it without looking at a guide. I'm playing Condemned 2: Bloodshot atm.
  20. It's always great to see Jim on the late late show with Craig Ferguson, but I don't know if it could be called an interview. Craig's funny but he doesn't really discuss anything relevant to his guests or their jobs. And I was under the impression that Jim always has a very clean vocabulary off-screen, so it's a bit surprising to see him drop an f-bomb on live tv. :O
  21. Oh...god. My brother may have had a copy that I may have played once or twice. I think there's two different games, the one I played was called Apocalyptic Weekend or something like that, after the main character suffers a head injury. At certain stages, he sees the world differently, like in Silent Hill, only more screwed up. I've never been so scared in my life.
  22. I saw a clip from Misfits S2EP1 in one of the tiles in the background. I guess for people who enjoy creating chaos in games like GTA, that bat-crap insane dude was portrayed fairly accurately. I'm just glad that we don't have crazy bastards running around the real world looking for Conti and killing everyone in their path for extra points.
  23. I think Death Note is the only manga I've finished...I'm not really sure. But the last thing I read was Uzumaki which is...strange, but not bad.
  24. That would suit the person that lived in Penny's apartment before Penny Maybe that's how she learned the apartment was up for rent.
  25. Seems threelions is in denial, but you never know. Waitressing can't be her only form of income, perhaps she works as a performer at a transgender revue.
