  1. Been holding my breath for Leonard and Penny since episode 1. Now, a big sigh! Then, I begin to wonder if Kaley is pregnant in real life and that is what is up with the plot? I guess it's just hard to accept that the writers aren't just messing with us again, lol.

  2. I think Leonard was true to himself and did not answer Penny in her drunken self-loathing state. That is not a real proposal and I always pictured Leonard doing it. Would it be a funny story arc if Penny got a part in the new Star Wars movie?

Amy's comment to Sheldon was funny but I find it perplexing how her character began just like Sheldon's - being totally analytical and not interested in physical intimacy. I suppose she is growing just like Sheldon is.

The Raj/Stewart thing is REALLY old and they should kill off that dynamic. They should have Raj get tenure and also a girlfriend, not the freaky one he's seen a few times that climbs out windows.

I would think Leonard would have been a little more supportive of Penny rather than tell her that the odds of her making it are astronomical.

I was waiting for Sheldon to come up with a hilarious joke by accident but it didn't happen.

I haven't really disliked any episodes ever since I got into the show last year and binge watched seasons 1-5 and part of 6 to catch up to what was airing.over the summer and binge watched all 6 seasons to catch up.

Actually, as real actors they were stating the truth. No matter how good you are, the odds of becoming a successful actor are astronomical. 95% of the actors who belong to the union(s) are not employed as actors on any kind of fulltime basis. That is the nature of the business.

  3. A discussion thread for The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco.

Well she did it. She married Ryan Sweeting. Best wishes Kaley. I hope you and your guy have nothing but good luck and long lives together.

  4. I thought it was a weak episode. They seem to want to lean on the notion that Sheldon, inspite of his intelligence, has no idea he is an arrogant, annoying, and tedious asshole. He constantly betrays his friends to each other, and is apparently unaware he is doing it. He has no conscience and never feels remorse. No, that isn't exactly correct. They have written him to be totally unaware when he has done something for which he should feel remorse, which in his arrogance he would not feel anyway. It isn't good comedy.

  5. Hmm,okey I see the report was taken nearly years ago.also he sounds like you rock guy having fun.and trust me in Hollywood older men/younger women is somewhat the norm.

Point is moot. She dumped him. And from his reaction, it was done unpleasantly. I think she escaped a serious personal disaster. Sure lots of 25 year olds marry 49 year olds and not just in Hollywood. Almost never works out and even when it does there is a lot of saddness to be dealt with in that kind of relationship. Marriage is hard enough, especially in Hollywood, no point in starting off with that kind of disadvantage.

  6. Last night for the first time I read in the net about TBBT actors and their real lifes. It was a BIG, BIG suprise when I learned that "Penny" and "Leonard" had real relationships. And it was sad. I have an impression that Kaley was not smart enough or was too loud for him. He did not want to be seen in public with "beautiful but stupid little girl" (she is younger). Thats why the secrets. Am I wrong? He is not hiding his current girlfriend...

I think now it will be a bit sad to whach the show, because I was a fan of Leonard's and Penny's relationships. Now it is spoiled in some way.

No, you have it wrong. The show was really new and the ratings weren't great. They are both experienced actors and know that audiences are very fickle and that revealing a personal relationship could effect the show. They didn't want to risk that and it caused them to grow apart. They are still really good friends. It was a professional choice, right or wrong.

You guys are all hoping for something that isn't going to happen. Johnny and his girlfriend are very happy. Kaley has done a lot of boyfriend hopping since him. They are never going to get back together. The tennis player seems to be a decent guy. He is tall and handsome, looks great with her. And best of all he isn't twice her age, covered in tatoos from his neck to his ankles, and doesn't look like a troll. Reznik has to be a sorcerror. I could never figure out what she was seeing. Thank the stars she woke up from that spell. I just hope she has a nice long engagement with Ryan. She needs to wait until it cools down.

  7. Kaley falls in love easily, quickly, and deeply. She has admitted that herself. She loves being in love. She also falls out of love just as quickly or falls for someone else. Resnik, the tatooed troll, must have used black magic of some sort. He met her in a spa where he was teaching some kind of excercise and heisted her from Chris, who she was living with at the time. Resnik would have destroyed her. He is 25 years older than her and a con man, who lied about being married previously and about his age. There was an interview in a rock magazine, I forget the name, where he discussed his marriage and his escapades with porn stars. Maybe Kaley read it. Whoever woke her up from the spell should feel really good about it.

You must be joking about Resnik.cause all that sound all made up.

His age is easy, he had a FB site that stated he graduated high school in 1980. No idea if that is still up. The spa he worked at had an ad with his name in it. May still be there. Here is a link to the interview where he stated he had been married. http://www.rockconfidential.com/inside/columns/jacklyn-lick/an-exclusive-interview-with-josh-lazie/

She was with Bret Bollinger for some time. No idea what happened there. He seemed like a nice enough guy. Perhaps she just got tired of him or he got tired of her.

Henry was obviously just lust. Good for her. Don't we all wish we could indulge that easily.

This new guy was arranged by a friend. Don't know much about him. Hopefully he is from a good family with money because he sure as hell can't earn what she makes, and that is always a problem. I hope he did not move into her house like all the others, except Henry, did. That is HER dream house. Moving into her space puts a man at a serious disadvantage. With luck family or friends will convince her to have a long engagement because her track record says it will otherwise end badly. She needs to wait until the relationship cools down a bit. That seems to be a critical time for her. I think it would be lovely if they really do love each other and can hang in. She should have someone to settle down with and this guy looks great with her.

  9. I don't agree. Kaley is underrated, she has great comic timing. Some people think she could just be swapped out for any other pretty actress but I think they are wrong. What other actress on an american sitcom can deliver lines like her? Not any I have seen lately.

I watched '2 broke girls' the other day for the first and last time. The dark haired female is supposed to be the main comic and the lines aren't bad, but she just can't deliver them in a way that makes them funny. It's rare when someone can because comedy is notoriously difficult. But Kaley can. She can be funny with just one look. She may not become a great hollywood actress but I think she will surprise people. I can see her never being out of work.

I think people underestimate what she does because she's pretty. She has amazing presence onscreen. Whenever she's in a scene she just lifts it and it's not just her looks, she only needs to say one word sometimes.

I believe I said this in another forum a year or so ago. Suffice to say,, I agree with you wholeheartedly. Kaley has excellent comic timing.

  10. She never intended the relationship to go forward. The fact that it was the result was not the intention. She was only trying to create trouble by putting her waitress nose where it is not wanted.

I'm not even sure what this means. You do know that Penny is a fictional character and this particular show, has a history of writing in things just for comedy, with no consideration for it's being in character. Trying to describe intent is pointless. They had Penny do what she did because they thought it would result in good comedy.

  11. And we sink deeper and deeper into relationship comedy. I do miss the early days when this show was about hopeless nerds. Even D&D night wound up about relationships. I didn't hate this episode, but it gave me the feeling I was watching Friends Two.

  12. I apologize if this is a repeat, but like Penny I didn't know a potato could power a clock. It actually really cool and pretty easy! Here's a video:

And I think it's time to recognize- if it can make enough power to run a clock, it could probably also power Professor Proton's pacemaker!

Nice but that is not an LED clock, it's an LCD clock. :icon_wink:

  13. So this episode is one of the bad ones that I have seen....terribly dull and boring

Starting scene : Sheldon creepily fawns over Prof Proton.. He looks surprised and confused....

Middle scene : Sheldon creepily fawns over Prof Proton... He looks surprised and confused....

Ending scene : Sheldon creepily fawns over Prof Proton.. He looks surprised and confused....

The show REPEATS the same joke again and again and again............so can't blame the audience for doing the same :p

Interesting. I found this episode to be highly entertaining. To each his own.

  14. Highly educated sucessful warm women are very very common. My wife is one and I hardly think she is as rare as dinosaurs to find.

Leonard can do much much better, all he needs to do is look at his friends and see tht he has been short changed here.

BTW Penny cannot introduce herself as an actress if she is not supporting herself with acting gigs. She is a waitress as the Cheesecake factory.Tht is her primary occupation.

Nonsense. I am an actor, have been since I was 6, but rarely made enough to live on. 95% of the actors with union cards are not working as actors. That's the nature of the business. Some of the best actors I have ever met are amateurs. They aren't even trying to make a living on it. They are still actors. Many of them are constantly in stage productions. Compare to an athlete. If I am a distance runner, go to the olympics, but am not being paid for it, am I not still an athlete?
