  1. Penny certainly is far from perfect just like any other person (fictional or real). I believe she really cares for these guys and gals: she’s always there when they need support and protection. I agree that she comes across as rude on occasions, but come on, they all do. No character is flawless, even Bernie has shown her dark side.

Penny has some understanding of the consequences of her actions this past season. She did tried to steal from a charity box but she admitted that it would have been wrong. She gave Sheldon and Leonard gifts thank-you gifts for the free food and Wifi. I don't know if there's more tough, too tired to think. Anyway, it’s not much, but it sure is a nice start, right?

I totally agree on what you said about her relationship with Leonard. Poor Leonard is always the one that tries to move their relationship forward, with little success. Penny should make a move now, it’s long overdue.

  2. This would take a lot of time and thought. Considering the amount of screen time Raj got this season, I doubt that the writers are going to invest that much time in his character. I think the writers will keep his mutism the way it is, much easier.

  3. Sheldon wouldn't watch, as he sees himself as too intelligent and evolved for the science references. The Leonard/Penny thing would turn him off.

Leonard would have liked the earlier seasons and he would identify himself with the guys. He might watch S4 and S5 episodes with Penny.

Howard wouldn't watch because he's too busy picking up women of course. Besides, his mom is always in front of the television, watching soap operas and reality shows.

Raj might watch S1-S3 (I'm not too sure), but he would definitely become a big fan after the fourth season. He would be sitting in front of the television, his box of tissues besides him, shipping everything there is to ship. There can't be drama enough for Raj.

He would be very active in the online fandom as well, posting cute pictures of his favorite couples on fansites.

Penny would watch a few a episodes while hanging out with Leonard, she wouldn't get the science references but she would definitely be rooting for some 'cute' couple. She would become a hardcore fan after season 4.

Amy wouldn't watch, she's too busy drooling over pictures of Penny and playing Twister with her smoking monkey.

I actually have no idea about Bernadette.

  4. How do you rank the seasons?

    My rank would be (in descending order): 2 - 1 - 3 - 4 - 5

Season 2 is my favorite so far because I thought both the balance between the characters' screen time and the balance friendships/relationships were at their best that season. Season 1 is a close second, but I found certain things a little awkward at times (can't really lay my finger on it, tough). For season 3, there was too much Sheldon imo.

I thought both season 4 and 5 were pretty weak. There was only one standout episode for me, in season 4, so season 5 finishes last for me.

  5. This was a weak season with a weak ending imo.

I liked Howard's little scenes in the space capsule but the wedding scenes were starting to bore me after a while. The bickering between Leonard & Penny and Amy's constant whining about being a bridesmaid got on my nerves at some point. And I thought that last scene with the hand-holding was just plain cheesy, ugh.

  6. My wishes:

More storylines involving their work and geeky lifestyle.

    More appearances by family members.

Less scenes with the girls, more Sheldon/Penny and Sheldon/Leonard/Penny interactions.

Stable relationships/less relationship drama, no more engagements or weddings.

Amy shouldn't be forced into every episode.

  7. I haven’t laughed once this episode. I don’t know what was worse: Raj talking about Howard the same way Amy talks about Penny or Sheldon’s speech. I understand it was supposed to be “so unfunny it’s funnyâ€, but it was a complete failure. Those random bazingas didn’t help either. Anyway, those jokes about Stuart being poor were dragged on way too long. Stuart isn’t funny when he’s pathetic loser imo, I hope he bounces back quick.

The scenes with the girls weren’t any better. I’ve never been a fan of those scenes anyway, I always find them so boring.

Nope, didn’t enjoy the episode at all.

  8. Spoiler alert, ofcourse. You've been warned.

Casting sides for the final episode (called "The Countdown Reflection") have been posted. The sides contain three scenes:

    First scene described:

The gang is at a wedding chapel. A clerk, Joan, enters the room.

Joan: Folks, may I have your attention? It's five o'clock, we're gonna be able to take three more couples. (indicating) The rest of you will have to come back on Monday.

    Bernadette: Oh, no.

Wolowitz: I got this. (to Joan) Excuse me, but is there anyway you can squeeze us in? See, I'm an astronaut and I'm leaving for Russia on Sunday, so I can take a Soyuz rocket to the ISS.

Joan: Yeah, me too, I'll see you there.

    Joan walks off.

Bernadette: I can't believe it. We're not gonna get married.

    Amy: (whimpers) No, we're not.

Sheldon: Do we still have to go out for a drink or can I go home and watch Game of Thrones?

    Second scene described:

A Soyuz rocket sits on the launch pad in pre-launch mode. Wolowitz, Mike Massimono and Dimitri Rezinov are in the Soyuz capsule, strapped in and ready to go.

    (The Russian dialog is subtitled.)

Dimitri (in Russian): Mission Control, say again, how fast is this leaking?

    Wolowitz: Leaking, what's leaking?

    Dimitri: The fuel, shhh.

Russian Mission Control (in Russian): Not too bad, we feel okay to go.

Wolowitz: There's fuel leaking, and we're still gonna go?

Third scene described (the final scene, I guess?):

Leonard, Sheldon, Raj, Bernadette and Amy are in Sheldon and Leonard's apartment, watching the launch on tv.

The Russian Mission Control starts counting down from fifteen (in Russian).

Bernadette: Oh, my God, it's happening.

    Penny enters in work clothes.

    Penny: Did I miss it?

Leonard: No come on in. Hurry.

She runs over and sits next Leonard and watches.

Bernadette (to herself): I love that man.

    Raj: Me too.

Bernadette takes Raj's hand without taking her eyes off the tv.

Penny: I can't believe it. The whole time some part of me thought he was lying.

Penny takes Leonard's hand without taking her eyes off the tv.

The Russian Mission Control starts counting down from three (in Russian).

    Leonard: This is it.

    Sheldon: Boldly go, Howard Wolowitz.

Sheldon takes Amy's hand, without taking his eyes off the tv.

Feel free to post if you find any more spoilers.

  9. I don't like this "new" Sheldon, humanizing him is ruining his character for me. Sheldon is a man of science, not someone's snuggle bunny and that's what's making him interesting and unique.

I know people change overtime, but this isn't real life, this is a sitcom, and sitcoms don't need to resemble real life situations all the time. But the majority of fans disagree and want change, so change we will get.

I'm very curious about what the fans who are pro-change will think of Sheldon after his transformation. There won't be a way back, guys.

  10. There is more different to Sheldon than his appearance. Whether it is intentional or not, Jim is playing the character differently. The laugh is different. He smiles more. A lot of Sheldon's mannerisms were displayed through facial expressions. We are seeing fewer of those. The hair is an adjustment and I too am wondering if it is for the Harvey role. Bulkier Sheldon doesn't work that well. He is the biggest actor on the show and bulked up he looks more like one of Penny's boyfriends than the skinny nerd we're used to. He's not a muscle man yet, but he doesn't look like Sheldon either. Sheldon is different, and not necessarily better.

I agree completely with this. Sheldon IS different. But apparently change is good, even if the guy who's changing is the guy who hates change in the first place. I think Sheldon should remain as he is.

  11. Howard: "Grab a napkin homie, you just got served."

Zack: "That's it? That's your big experiment?"

Leonard Hofstadter: "Don't you see what we've done? It's the only definite proof that a species put objects on the moon. A species that only 60 years earlier had just invented the airplane."

    Zack: "What species is that?"

Raj: "Do you know what vegan chicken and rice is? RICE!"

  12. Well, we had two weeks of Amy-downtime and I quite enjoyed it. I always felt like she shouldn't be in every freaking episode, a little goes a long way.

But it's too late to remove her from the show anyway, unless the writers are in for a fan war.

  13. They've just been friends too long. At least with Leonard and Penny, there has been some tension, the topic is out in the open. If Sheldon and Penny started dating, it'd be too much like Kramer and Elaine dating, or Elliot and Turk, or Deborah and Batista, or Rachel and Chandler. It just wouldn't feel right.

    I completely agree with this.

Plus: Penny has her needs. Can you guys imagine Sheldon having sex all the time? Well I can't.

They have a beautiful friendship and I hope they keep it that way.

  14. I'm not getting people think Sheldon telling Amy he loves her when nothing he has done would make him do that or feel that when this season they've hinted at the opposite and maybe them being apart.

The Sheldon/Amy relationship is very popular so I don't see a breakup happening anytime soon. People want to see development in their relationship, and I do think that Sheldon will drop the L-bomb someday.

To fair, I never understood the popularity or why Sheldon needed a girlfriend in the first place, but this is what a major part of the target audience wants to see right now.

  15. not sure how you can reference the last two season finales, I can see last seasons, now I don't see how or why the would have a similiar finale from last season's unless it's Amy/Sheldon anything else doesn't make sense, but I do see something happening regarding Howard/Bernadette's wedding.

Yeah, I was talking about Sheldon and Amy.

The Big Bang seasons finales have always been relationship-changing. The season 4 ending in particular has proven that the writers will do anything for the sake of comedy, so why not having the asexual guy engage in coitus?

    But I really hope I'm wrong :).

  16. Considering the past season endings and how true the writers have been to the characters lately, I think a certain couple will have sex for the first time. But I hope I'm wrong, I just have a bad feeling about this.

I don't think the Howard/Bernadette thing will happen this finale. It just seems waaay too obvious to me.
