That sounds like a load of hogwosh gossip to me. That gossip started because Kaley had such a sour face at Comic Con last year, but that could have been for any number of reasons. IF (and that is a big IF) there is some truth to that, I can see Kaley being a bit jealous of Mayim. Kaley is used to being the center of attention with the fans, the media, and her castmates because she was the only girl in the cast for a long time. Now she has to share the spotlight with Mayim and Melissa, and Mayim got more attention than her at Comic Con. The Shamy is also a hot topic of conversation among the fans and media at the moment. Way more hot of a topic than Lenny, anyway. Plus, I have always kinda gotten the feeling that Kaley harbors a little crush on Jim (I think Mayim has a schoolgirl crush on him, too). Now Mayim's character gets to have the romance with Jim, Mayim and Jim seem to get along well and click, AND Mayim gets a lot of attention from him (where he used to give Kaley a lot of attention). So I can see that making her jealous. Mayim also has a very serious and introverted personality, which can often be misconstrued as "snooty." Mayim is also hella smart in real life, so that can be intimidating for some people as well. And just to add to everything else, there is starting to be some Emmy buzz surrounding Mayim.

No. People grow, change, and have various different relationships throughout the course of their lives. Even nerds and robots (Sheldon).

It is pretty common for celebrities go without their engagement/wedding rings from time to time. They get into the habit of taking their rings off for work and forget to put them back on, or they don't want to draw media attention to them. So Kaley not wearing her engagement ring does not necessarily mean she has broken up with her fiance. It could very well be the case, but not necessarily so.

Those are good points, and I agree that I don't want Sheldon to change too much because I love him the way he is, but I think it is only natural for him to evolve somewhat. It is already starting to happen...slowly. I have not only noticed changes in Sheldon's interactions with Amy, but also with Penny and Leonard. As for the cuddling fiasco you mentioned, Sheldon may not necessarily like being touched, but the fact that he tolerates it with Amy is a hint that he is opening up. I saw his blow up with Leonard and Howard slightly differently. Yes, he was inconvenienced by "a night of harp playing and spooning with Amy", but he also got on their cases because she had been upset by Penny and Bernadette's actions. Sheldon may be a closed book in the emotions department, but he does genuinely care about Amy. He worries about her, he gets jealous over her, and he cares about making her happy. He may not be comfortable with physical intimacy, but that doesn't mean feelings for Amy aren't there. It is possible for an asexual person (if that is what Sheldon truly is) to love someone without wanting physical intimacy. I mean, after that blow up at Leonard and Howard, the very next scene we see Sheldon running off to help a drunken Amy, leaving his lego death star behind without a thought... I think our Sheldon is starting to grow up a little bit... what people seem to be blind with is tht the caracter only started devoloping in in seson 4 and 5 season 1 sheldon and season 3 ssdd. Um disagree with what he was angry about he was pissed off that he had to take care off amy. good point with the death star but it was leonard that left first. he cares about amy but only as a intellectual companion Those are good points, and I agree that I don't want Sheldon to change too much because I love him the way he is, but I think it is only natural for him to evolve somewhat. LOL. Okay, I admit I wasn't being completely serious when I said Sheldon and Amy would get married. It just seems like something the writers would throw in as a season finale shocker-twist, just because nobody would be expecting it. The funny thing is that I can actually imagine them getting married before doing the deed, even though I know it likely won't happen. lol. Jim Parsons even said he could see them having a test tube baby together before having sex. They are an unconventional couple, and you never know where they are going to go with them. We still have a long way to go before the end of the series. Who knows what they have in store for the characters. If Mayim sticks around for the remainder of the series, I can see 'Shamy' being the endgame after a few twists and turns. They are already starting to "evolve" Sheldon. He is starting to be okay with Amy touching him and getting close to her. This leads me to believe they have something bigger planned for them. Plus, Amy isn't as comfortable with physical intimacy as she claims to be. She is okay with flirting with Penny because she knows it doesn't mean anything deep down, but she is still relatively shy when it comes to Sheldon. I know she has proposed "coitus" a couple of times, but she gets very nervous when actually touching him most of the time. Her words and her actions don't quite match up. So I don't think the intimacy gap between Amy and Sheldon is as big as people think it is.

amy is a character which you either love or hate. which bad because that measn the writers both have to use her and cannot use her. and im sorry fun with flags was the worst WORST 3 minuetes of the big bang theory i have ever seen (i have all the episodes) and i say end of season 5 she might be gone I can see how the episode would annoy some viewers, but I thought it was really cute. I am sorry you don't like Amy, but I think she is going to be around for awhile. The only way I can see them getting rid of her is if Mayim Bialik does not want to do it anymore. A lot of people are diggin The Shamy. Well, everyone except for Shenny Shippers and those who never liked her to begin with, that is. agreed but if i asked you if sheldon should be cut from the show or leonard i will get a 100% repsonse of no. amy dosent have that and i dnt she will ever. i really liked her in season 4 (The zazzy substitution, the herb garden germination) my problem with amy is that they seperated the girls from the gys in so many episodes and i love the original five. amy annoys me every time with penny but i really digg the shamy. it's an intresting thought that i think amy and shedlon will break up and that will cut her out of the script It is completely understandable to prefer the original 5. My perspective is the exact opposite of yours. I was leery of the additions of both Amy and Bernadette when they were first introduced for the very reasons that you mentioned: I didn't want the foundation of the group of 5 to be disrupted. However, over time, I have grown to love both Amy and Bernadette because I think they add depth and character development to Sheldon and Howard. I see 'Shamy' going either way. Either breaking up or getting married, but it depends on Mayim. IF Mayim decides to stay for the long hall, then I bet 'Shamy' will be the endgame. They may break up for awhile, but I think it is obvious that they are starting to slowly expand Sheldon's horizons in the physical intimacy department and they will find themselves back together. I also think that the time is going to come where Sheldon is going to have to either step up or step out, so to speak.

I have to disagree. I really love Amy, and I think she brings out a side of Sheldon that is refreshing to see. I am convinced that Sheldon and Amy are soulmates, especially after watching the 'Fun with Flags' episode, and I hope she sticks around for a long time.

I admit I was intrigued by the thought of Sheldon and Penny together for a bit, but I have changed my mind. I prefer the brother/sister relationship they have and feel it should remain that way. Sheldon needs to be in a relationship with someone who is evenly matched with him on an intellectual level. I probably feel this way due to the fact that I love the pairings as they are: Leonard/Penny and Sheldon/Amy. Amy is Sheldon's soulmate, in my opinion. Penny is more of a sister or mother-figure to him.

I really love Leonard and Penny together and hope they are the endgame. In fact, I love ALL of the pairings on the show. Leonard/Penny, Sheldon/Amy, and Howard/Bernadette. I have never watched a show where I was 100% content with all of the pairings, so this is a first for me.
