  1. I think it's possible it is a true orientation, not yet recognised. Life is full of surprises! It makes sense to me that there could be an extreme opposite to heterosexual, bisexual or homosexual.

The world must feel like a very strange place to them.

To the bold, most definitely. Sometimes when you sit back and think about it, the world truly is wondrous.

  2. Do you go to the theaters/ cinema?

What was the last movie you saw?

I watched The Descendants earlier (I know I was a little late on that one). Fantastic.

I work at a theater so I see everything, regardless of whether I know it is going to be a crappy movie.

  3. I've always been a believer of asexuality, but I'm really open-minded. I think there's someone, something, or in this case nothing, for everyone. I really think they should do more research in general, just because it's interesting.

Not saying I'm the 1% or anything, but I'm pretty "asexual." It put it in quotes because I've had boyfriends (and one girlfriend) before, but am not interested in the sexual side of relationships. Yes, it can feel good, but I am truly just interested in companionship. I literally have no sex drive. It's for this reason I do not date (all my relationships began with people I was already friends with), and I pretty much call my best friend my 'hetero life-mate' because that's the kind of companionship/relationship I long for.

I'm rambling. That was a good read, though. Most online articles I read these days are horribly written.

  4. I haven't looked up the actress' image either. But I'll ask this...

Is the actress a proper age, size, perhaps features, etc. required to be believable as Howard's Mom? Costume and Makeup can work wonders of course, but say she is an Asian American. That might not work for a traditional overbearing Jewish Mother.

I will say she could most definitely be his mother.

She is not as big and definitely not as hairy as they make her out to be. She's the right age and everything else, though.

  5. I honestly think a lot of people are really disappointed with the lack of science/nerdgeek content (myself included) and feel inclined to say "the show is getting worse" because it's more relationship-based than it used to be.

When you watch any episode from season one, every other sentence is some paradigm, equation, theory, or science joke. I'm not saying they need to bring it back to that magnitude, but there is a serious lack of science content.

I mean, think about it. When Sheldon and Kripke were "playing" basketball, Sheldon says, "Use the force, Sheldon, use the force." That's been one of the only nerdgeek references for a long time.

  6. For the first half of season 5 I really didn't like her. She was really disconnected/cynical for a while and I DID NOT like it.

I watch the show over and over and when I get to where we are now I start over, and seeing her in season 1 is always refreshing. She's so cute and innocent. I kind of miss that about her.

Truthfully, I personally wouldn't mind if she left, but the show really needs her. I'm thinking about the greater good here... lol.

edit: I'm starting to really like her again at the end of season 5. For a while there I was worried.

  7. I saw that Stuart is guest starring on this episode, perhaps Amy takes him to the party instead?

I saw that, too. I love Stuart's character. I'm glad we're seeing him again, haven't seen him in a while.

I wouldn't be surprised. I mean, she did take Leonard that one time...

  8. Either Howard and Bernadette are at their wedding or Howard is in space. I really hope they send him up, I'll be pissed if they have him back out.

I've been wanting something big to happen with Raj since... forever. ANYTHING would be fine.

I hope Sheldon realizes he has feelings for Amy so their "relationship" isn't so freaking dark any more. It's really, really sad for Amy.

  9. I was actually a senior in high school when season 2 was ending. I was doing a project with a classmate and I said something that reminded him of a quote on the show (I forget what) and I had NO idea what he was talking about but all I heard was "nerd," "Wolowitz," and other key words. I didn't think to watch it until I caught a re-run and thought, OMG THIS IS AMAZING, and immediately caught up on all the episodes up until that point. Been my favorite show since.

It's amazing I ever saw it at all because I really don't watch TV. I watch South Park and other select shows on Netflix but that's totally it.

  10. Well, it depends on what kind of ending they want for the show. I can't say either way.

Though, I went to a taping of the show in January (The Friendship Contraction) and Howard's mom was "in" that episode. At the end when the cast came out to do their curtain-call, they called Howard's mom (Carol Ann Susi) out as well. I'm not going to say it ruined it for me, because I could have easily Googled her (or would have seen it eventually), but now I can't even imagine her as anyone else. At best, when I try to remember what I had imagined her like before, I can't even think of it.

Because Carol Ann Susi definitely isn't extremely overweight, or very hairy... which I remember Howard saying.

  11. I personally like Amy but it's starting to get sad in reference to her relationship with Sheldon. It's just getting darker. He either needs to break out of his comfort zone (which is really unlikely to happen, and even if it does, I feel like the VAST majority of the audience will be unhappy, since I know a lot of people were uncomfortable with Sheldon in The Werewolf Transformation), or she needs to realize he's not going to satisfy her in any physical way. It's getting to the point where I feel bad for her but love her character, and I have a feeling there can't be any way she'll stick around much longer feeling like that. I feel like she might get fed up and leave. Who knows, though.

Also, I love Bernadette. Done and done.

  12. Only because of Leonard, actually. Haha. Never really paid attention before that. Dinner, in some regions, is the largest meal of the day but not necessarily the last one... sometimes (on holidays, etc) there is a lighter meal served after dinner, and that's supper.

What's the funniest 'clean' joke you know?

  13. Hi!

I can't wait to jump into this forum with you all. I feel bad bothering my friends because I love this show so much. Well, my best friend really likes it (thankfully), but I still feel bad. :p

I caught on to the show around the end of the second season while I was a senior in high school. Still my favorite and I still get just as excited on Thursdays as I used to when a new episode was airing. I've been to a taping and am going to another next week. I can't wait.

Anyway, I'll quit rambling. See you around the boards! :)
