  1. I'm watching TBS re-runs right now and The Bozeman Reaction is on right now.

I died laughing at the cold open when they all sit down in the Chinese restaurant (the episode were they get robbed and Sheldon tries to move away).

Sheldon: [while looking at a menu] And look over here, 'Shrimp in Mobster Sauce'. What is mobster sauce?
    Leonard: It's obviously a typo.
Sheldon: Hmm, perhaps. Or perhaps this restaurant's now a front for organized crime. For all we know the mobster sauce contains actual chunks of deceased mobsters.
Raj: No, no, no, no. I think it just means it's the kind of sauce that mobsters like.
Howard: It doesn't mean any of that! It's a typo!

  2. Really? You think they'll just put L/P on the backburner?? I think that would piss quite a few people off, I don't know that they'll go down that route. You risk turning this into a couples war if you focus too much on one rather than the other, I think there's enough room to have both. And so much you can do with the Penny-evolution this year.

In my opinion (and that's all it is), they already sort of are.

I wasn't really sure until the last episode when I kind of realized it. After the "I love you" from Penny in 6.8, the two have hardly even talked to each other and we're in 6.11.

I personally would like to see more good interaction between the two. I don't want this to seem like I'm indifferent about them or anything... since I've been rooting for L/P since the beginning. They are end game, and I want them to be, but they've just opened a bunch of doors with Shamy and now they're starting to address Raj being alone. Let's just hope they can juggle it without skewing it highly one way or the other.

  3. I think they see the popularity of Shamy and will continue to stay on track and I agree they are probably going to deliver something big with them.

Sorry to hear you are not feeling well. I hope you feel better soon. And yes, it is a good thing they are not taping tomorrow since you would not be able to make it. The withdrawals of knowing what is ahead have been tough, though. :icon_lol: I am glad we at least should be seeing a script cover this week. Hopefully we can maybe get a hint picture from Tara as well. ;)

Thanks! I'm sure it's just because I've been working too much and haven't kept up with eating or sleeping. That sounds dumb in writing... haha.

I agree. I have a feeling they aren't going to focus on L/P for the rest of the season. Shamy is way too popular.

I think we're also getting into a time where no one minds the girls any more. In fact, a lot of people love them. There will still be haters but the displeasure with the female characters has GREATLY dissolved over the summer and into this season. I remember people hated Amy and Bernadette right away and now people are loving it, so I'm pretty sure L/P is just gonna be put on the backburner.

  4. So, I'm glad there's not a taping tomorrow because I probably wouldn't make it as I feel awful (physically). Ha.

I think we'll get something big this season with Shamy, unless they start to focus on Raj and wait until season 7 to really kick Shamy into high gear. They could probably toggle both, but who knows.

  5. I also agree with the NYE kiss idea. How romantic....and it may be something he'd agree to since it's a social convention. LOL.

Exactly! I think I may have mentioned that when I talked about it in the spoiler thread. She can tell him it's a non-optional social convention! Mwahahaha.

  6. The only reason I am not bothered by the spanking is because when I was seeing it in person, it was Jim and Mayim, not Sheldon and Amy. It's so different than the end product that's shown on TV and going to every episode in a row has caused me to see the show a tiny bit differently and I am not as critical of certain things.

I don't know how showing that scene will blow over. I think most people will think it's funny and just not care after that.

  7. Hey what type of program is this??? Jim was only 2 seconds there!!!! This is really crazy :icon_eek:

Conan is a late-night host and his show is an hour.

In 2010, NBC, Conan, and Leno had conflicts over the air times of their two shows. They were moving both shows back a time slot because of low ratings for both shows. The Jay Leno Show was being moved from 10pm to 11:30pm and Conan was being moved to 11:35-12:05.

If you're interested, which no one probably is (lol), here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010_Tonight_Show_conflict

  8. I want to see more mundane things that end up being hilarious. Like Sheldon running out of shampoo because someone else used some. Or something.

I'd love Sheldon to kiss Amy on New Year's Eve.

I want to see them take a road trip somewhere again. Get them out of the state, if possible. It won't happen, but I'd like to see a destination episode.

  9. Kyzzx did Mayim seem in good spirits yesterday? She posted on her blog she was getting a divorce :(

Yes, I thought so. She seemed fine. I found the entire set/cast/audience to be pretty gloomy, though. Different vibes every week, this one wasn't as upbeat.

It's really sad to think about now. Having that conversation as Amy to Raj, "Someday you'll have somebody too." Ouch. :(

  10. I believe 6.10 is airing on December 6th (wasn't that the one with Bernie's mother in it)? If so, the actress that plays her mother said that episode was airing December 6. That means 6.11 Santa episode is airing December 13. If they air on December 20th, then we still can hope for a NYE episode I guess and hope. They are taping again December 4, so they do have time to put in a NYE episode logistically. :)

It would be cool if they did a New Year's episode and Amy told Sheldon that kissing someone at midnight is a non-optional social convention. Shamy kiss. BAM, SON. There it is. Lol.

  11. Kyzzx, are those all the episodes you've seen live? I'm curious because AU is putting caps on how many tapings people are allowed to attend a season. Just be aware of that. :)

Yes, they are, but I do standby every week. Last night was my once-per-season guaranteed ones, which I will do no more of. Thank you! Good lookin' out.

So other than it was a Christmas episode where the most important people in each other's lives weren't together and no one was happy, it was an enjoyable show! Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas everyone! :)

Does anyone know when this episode airs? Maybe they are just messing with us and still have a real Christmas episode?

I'm not sure when it airs, I'm sure the 13th, unless they air it on the 20th.

The only thing we know about the episode is that this game/nightclub stuff is taking place on Saturday night, but what day is that? Is it December 22nd, the Saturday right before Christmas? It's not necessarily taking place on Christmas Eve so I can get that they weren't doing any of that other stuff but I don't recall most shows (or any show, really) taking more than one episode to cover Christmas. Same with Halloween and Thanksgiving.

  12. Holy crap! I have not been able to log into this community for so long! Anyway I dont think this episode sounds as bad as some are making it out to be. I had a friend who did go to this particular show who ACTUALLY enjoyed it.

Well, I enjoyed it, I just think it was a bad attempt at a Christmas episode, in particular. It had none of the couples together, no gift giving, and at the end no one was really 'happy' about anything. That kind of sucks.

  13. Thanks for the report. This does sound a bit, as you say, uneventful, after the hectic hilarity of the few episodes before this. I'm interested to see how the Raj/Amy part plays out.. sounds like a bit of genuine bonding between the two of them, which is sort of expected (given their history of lonely years) but still an interesting angle to come up.

I hope the D&D is funnier on screen than it reads. Sometimes the actors' talents salvage even mediocre writing.

Also, that was a small heartfelt moment with Sheldon talking of his experience with Santa when he was small, his asking for his Pop pop (grandpa?) back, and how his Pop pop and Mee maw were the only ones who supported him in doing science.

I'm sure it's going to be better on-screen than how I wrote it. It always is.

  14. I sang karaoke one time when I was in 7th grade and I obviously wasn't drunk, haha. I don't drink so that doesn't go together but I'm not ever doing karaoke again.

HYE been to Disneyland or Disney World?

  15. Wow...that was a very strange episode and not a pleasant one even. I can't say that I found anything to laugh at in that one, nor even feel good about. It was quite a downer. Gee wiz, what happened to the writers on that one? :icon_redface: Thank you for the report though. I must say I didn't even enjoy the Amy/Raj stuff and I thought I would. The fashion show was one that I would like to have seen (but couldn't they have put something on Amy that made her look "hot" as well?), but it didn't have positive results either. Such a disappointing sounding episode. Hopefully it will come out a little better when edited and it airs. ;)

I'm sure my bias came through a little bit, and like I said, there were a few funny lines. It just didn't feel right to me.
