Thanks for the deets to Monique and Dana. We will love you forever. :D
So they did it it in one take? That means that they actually pre-taped it and did a live run just for the audience. They do that sometimes. What you saw last night might not be exactly what we get when it airs, but it should be pretty close.

Hi,
I'm a french in vacation in L.A and I got 3 tickets for this november 26th. I got a "standard ticket" for me but standby tickets for my friends. I'd like to know if we can bring with us our cell phone and just let it in a box or whatever thing there because we don't have a car. Can you advice me about the time to get there (the show start at 5:30pm). Also, do you think we'll be able to sit next during the filming ?
Thank you
Congrats on getting three tickets! That's an accomplishment in and of itself.
I hope you are having a great vacation.
People with standby tickets need to be in line as early as 11am. People with guaranteed/standard tickets need to arrive at least 90 minutes before the show. If you go into the studio with the rest of the 'guaranteeds', it is unlikely that you will be seated with your friends who have standby tickets. You'd probably need to wait with them outside until they get checked in. Have you emailed Audience Unlimiteds to see if they can switch your friends' tickets to guaranteed? In the past, people traveling from abroad have been able to get the tickets of other people in their group changed to guaranteed, but you need to ask before you get there.
As for the cell phones, they strongly encourage people to leave them in their car before the check in but the truth is that they will just take them away at the stage door if you get that far with them. They'll give them back to you at the end of the taping.
Enjoy the show and report back here if you have a chance. We'd really appreciate it. :D

I think that getting in line between 11am and noon is good enough on most taping days. Good luck and enjoy.

Whoa. Wheaton and Kripke? Curiouser and curiouser.
7X10 is not even going to be a sweeps episode. It will air in December.

Carlos, read all about the infamous Streetcar scene at the end of this post here.

Hi leela and welcome.
If the person on the phone said they put you on the standby list, you're most likely on that list regardless of what the postcard says.
You could email AU to confirm anyway at [email protected]
Use the subject "Tickets". They usually reply within the hour during business hours.
Good luck and enjoy the show!

The title of 7.07 is "The Proton Displacement”.
This fan wrote about her experience at the taping last night; however, she didn't disclose any spoilers.
Thanks! That person wrote a very brief summary of the episode here.
Anonymous asked: can you briefly describe what happened yesterday at big bang taping... the story of the episode
Sheldon is trying to get a scientist to let him read his paper instead of Leonard, so Sheldon brings in another beloved scientist, (i’m not saying who.) to try and compete with Leonard. So Amy tells Sheldon, the reason he might not have chosen him was because he can get annoying. She doesn’t say it to his face, but Sheldon said how he’s used to hearing the word since he’s been called that since he was a child.
Raj and Howard are hanging out, and Howard invited Raj to hang out with him on Friday, but Raj is going to girls night with Penny, Bernadette, and Amy, so Howard starts making fun of him for it.
That’s pretty much it. I don’t want to say any of the jokes because I don’t want to ruin the episode for you or anyone else who watches. But the episode is a funny one. I can guarantee that! :D
I guess the beloved scientist is Bill Nye. Apparently, they didn't get the memo that this was common knowledge.

Chrismo,
I meant ordinary as in normal or standard. Normal or standard things are not worse by definition. I'm not sure how it was extrapolated that I was saying Shamy or their fans are better than anybody.
-
I feel for you and agree. It was mentioned on the L/P thread that Lenny fans worry over every minor detail which may be true. But as I said over there it appears Shamy fans get thrilled over nothing. I feel the same way 2 steps forward and 10 steps back.
I wouldn't exactly call it "being thrilled over nothing" although I can see why other people think that what little happens between Sheldon and Amy is not significant compared to other so-called regular couples. Sheldon and Amy are no ordinary couple, though, so what seems nothing to some people is huge for them.

Was this information about 30-odd scenes relayed to you in DM? The only detail about scenes I see on twitter is this:
Louise Herbst @herbstlouise 12h
@stardustmel77 Yes. They shot only three scenes today and it took about 3,5 hours because all the characters are involved at the same time.

Congrats, Phanta! So happy for you. :D
-
Ok, cool. Thanks Tensor.
Turns out that it will be taped over two days next week and Roxanne's friend is going on the second day, so we'll get some info.

No, we didn't. We have several between the two forums that were attending the fourth.
Really? I didn't think anyone was going on the 17th.
As far as I know, Monique has tickets for the 24th.

What could possibly happen in the THIRD episode of the season that they might want to keep under wraps???
I'm with phanta; this is all probably due to staff/talent/location scheduling conflicts.

As someone who has been to a taping, I can tell you that you can indeed use your phone in the waiting area, so you can call your ride if you don't make it.
If you make it, you can take your cellphone with you. Security will take it away when you get to the studio and they'll give it back to you when you leave, so you can call your ride to pick you up on the way out. Hope this helps.
-
I didn't see it on the taping report, but did we ever get a confirmed title for this episode? I know we guessed it to be The Hoftstatder Deficiency but I was curious if we guessed correctly or not.
Jennifer confirmed in chat that The Hoftstadter Deficiency was indeed the title.

Hey Monique! Glad you made it.
Say hi to the person without gravitas for us.
