  1. Since I personally think that all of the above is utter horseshit, all I can say is, bye-bye. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S III using Tapatalk 2
  2. Same here. I'll be going to Las Vegas in a few weeks with my girlfriend, and I need something to do on the four hour plane ride... after we've exhausted all topics of conversation, that is. E-books fill that niche quite nicely, as I can pack a ton of them into the conveniently small space of my tablet. Can't do that very easily with regular books and magazines (which I have nothing against, BTW). Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S III using Tapatalk 2
  3. No one that I know of approved of Priya's cheating, and I doubt they thought highly of Leonard nearly (but not completely) straying from the path (and at least he had enough moral fortitude to stop before he went all the way, unlike his supposedly loyal girlfriend). 4. I'm leaning more towards the convenience (and space savings) of e-books, though I'm not totally comfortable with the whole DRM thing. The thought that Amazon could wipe my book from my tablet (I use the Kindle app on my Android devices) on a whim is always in the back of my mind, but I do like the convenience, especially for technical journals and programming texts. 5. Those who want to hate will find reasons to do so, no matter how many you take away. Sent from my Asus Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk 2
  6. Obviously, anyone other than Penny. (And yes, he hates Penny, no matter how strongly he denies it. Only someone who hates a character would expend so much effort to continually trash that character for as long as he has.) Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S III using Tapatalk 2
  7. And maybe you should stop shoving your religion down other people's throats. Sent from my Asus Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk 2
  8. Translation: "We found out that you're a member of *that* forum, therefore you're cordially invited to piss off and die a cold, lonely death." Or something. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S III using Tapatalk 2
  9. They explained it in the S5 premier. Penny was helping Raj put on a condom, and... well, there's a reason why she gave him the nickname "Quick Draw." Sent from my Asus Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk 2
  10. This. "Frasier" got away with Niles and Daphne having a baby because it was in its final season, which made it work, but doing something like this when a show is in the middle of its run is usually a sign of desperation. It's not needed right now, though a story about a pregnancy *scare* could be doable if handled properly. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S III using Tapatalk 2
  11. She stars in the sitcom "Mike & Molly" and is currently in the film "Identity Theft" with Jason Bateman. She's an overweight actress, an ideal target for concern trolls. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S III using Tapatalk 2
  12. Moderators, can we scrub this thread of the political BS? I don't care if someone is liberal, conservative, or whatever, political discussions these days tend to get heated and nasty, plus they have no business being in this thread (or anywhere on this forum except in a thread devoted strictly to politics). Just a thought, Mr. Fox... Sent from my Asus Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk 2
  13. Plus, let's remember the most important thing: it's a situation comedy, for Christ's sake. The goal is to make people laugh, and if that means they make Howard act like a child and Bernadette treat him like one, they're going to do it, without apology and without hesitation. As much as some people want to hold these characters to the standards of reality, the bottom line is that this isn't reality, it's a sitcom universe where things are going to be skewed and exaggerated in order to make us, the viewing audience, laugh and enjoy themselves. If these people are unable to suspend their disbelief in these situations and just enjoy the rollercoaster ride... well, that's a shame.
  14. I was going to mention him, but we usually saw at least half his face, so I figured it only semi-counted.
  15. Yup, but we still haven't seen her face, and personally, I never want to. I like the mystery. I want her to follow in the footsteps of Vera Peterson, Maris Crane, and Carlton the doorman.
  16. I figured as much. Thanks for confirming what I already suspected.
  17. You still haven't explained "doesn't deserve improvement." Please do so.
  18. I'm wondering if you'd be so kind as to explain this tortured logic to us? On second thought, never mind, I really don't care.
  19. And the obligatory "djvang hates the show and bitches about it" post for the latest episode appears. Now that the stress of wondering when it would appear is gone, we can continue to discuss the episode with that weight off our minds. Sent from my Asus Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk 2
  20. And in other news, scientists have concluded that water is wet and the sky is blue. I mean, c'mon, people, this is Sheldon Cooper we're talking about here. Are you *really* surprised and angry that he acts like a selfish jerk? Sent from my Asus Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk 2
  21. One thing I noticed: Kevin Sussman is supposed to be a regular this season, so you'd expect his name to be in the opening credits like previous episodes, but it wasn't. He was in the closing credits. What's up with that? Are the producers pulling a Sarah Gilbert, chalking up his regular status as a failed experiment? 22. If I may be allowed to let my geek flag fly , it wasn't the theme from "Star Wars," which you hear over the opening crawl of each movie. It was "The Imperial March," the theme used for the Empire (and Darth Vader), which was introduced in "The Empire Strikes Back." This has been your geek public service announcement for today. :D Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S III using Tapatalk 2
  23. Only if you count the Raj/Stuart/party thing as a fourth story, which I find hard to justify as they spent almost no time on it. Sent from my Asus Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk 2
  24. Honestly, though, after Sheen went off the rails and subsequently got the boot from TAAHM, why should anyone (other than his rabid fans and sycophantic supporters) believe a word he says? Sounds like he's low on "tiger blood" to me... Sent from my Asus Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk 2
  25. The man has an ego so large that he makes William Shatner look humble. Take that and his excessively high level of arrogance into account, and dismiss his rambling screed as the bulls**t it is. Sent from my Asus Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk 2
