  1. Horseshit. You definitely aren't watching the same show that the rest of us are watching. There's differences of opinion, and there are idiotic ramblings based on facts made up out of thin air and God knows what else. You fall squarely into the latter category, and we're all dumber for having listened to them. You are awarded no points, and may God have mercy on your soul. (Whoever gets that reference wins the Internet for today.) Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S III using Tapatalk 2
  2. She didn't screw Raj. Condom, premature ejaculation, "that was all she wrote," remember? No screwing actually occurred. The willingness to do the act is not the same as actually doing it, no matter how much you want it to be. As for the rest... wow, I simply don't have the words to respond to such outright hatred. 3. I have a mental image of you stomping your feet and screaming, "Mommy, they're being mean nasty icky poopy-heads, make them stop, waaaah!" Let me clue you in to three unimpeachable facts: (1) you don't call the shots on what is discussed in this thread (if you want such complete control, start a blog); (2) people are going to disagree with you; and (3) those people have just as much of a right to post their opinions as you do. Crying to the moderators because people are posting things you don't like is the act of a child, and reflects poorly on you.
  4. On the other hand, there are many of us who don't give a tinker's damn about the nuances and prefer to look at the overall picture. Sent from my Asus Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk 2
  5. Don't forget Maris Crane on "Frasier," and Karen's husband Stan on "Will and Grace." I definitely agree that Mrs. Wolowitz should remain "heard but not seen." It allows for so many jokes at her expense, as the writers can do just about anything with her without the need to actually show it. Much more versatile that way. 6. Thanks for the report, Kyzzx. Although there do seem to be a few character-defining moments (mostly with Raj and Amy), I have to agree that this episode seems weak at best. (Hopefully it'll come across better on the screen than it looks on paper. Talented actors can sometimes salvage weak material, as someone else said, so perhaps they can do so here.) It's a shame that it's also their Christmas episode, but in all fairness, they can't *all* be winners, no matter how much we want them to be. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S III using Tapatalk 2
  7. From "The Holographic Excitation": Howard imitates Bernadette, and she petulantly replies (in Melissa Rauch's normal voice), "I don't sound like that." Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S III using Tapatalk 2
  8. On behalf of the rest of "us people"... I'm sorry, buddy. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S III using Tapatalk 2

  10. Yup, an old WW2 injury. It's very visible in "Star Trek V: The Final Frontier," in the scene where Scotty takes food to Uhura on the bridge. He's holding the foil packet in his right hand, and you can clearly see that he's missing a finger. Sent from my Asus Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk 2
  11. It looks like the complete box set of "Star Trek: The Next Generation" on DVD. Probably some kind of attempt to convince Amy of Wil Wheaton's awesomeness. By the look on her face, I don't think she's buying what he's selling. Sent from my Asus Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk 2

  13. Too many to choose from, but two recent ones involve Amy: "The Isolation Permutation" - Amy and Sheldon's cuddling negotiations, and the scene in the party store parking lot. "The Shiny Trinket Maneuver" - Amy's reaction to the tiara. "OfcourseIdoI'maprincessandthisismytiara!" Priceless! Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S III using Tapatalk 2
  14. Figures. Oh, well, I'm not gonna get a BR player just for TBBT, so it'll have to wait. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S III using Tapatalk 2
  15. Speaking of the Season 1 gag reel, is it only on the Blu-ray, or is it on the DVD as well? (I'm referring to the just-released combo pack. If the bloopers are on the DVDs, I'll gladly replace my S1 DVDs with it, otherwise I won't waste my money.) Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S III using Tapatalk 2

  17. *shrug* I go by what I see and read in other fandoms, not by what I think "sounds right". Producers usually don't read scripts not submitted by a literary agent for the same reason. True, it might be hard to win, but these days, producers don't need the hassle. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S III using Tapatalk 2
  18. They probably don't lurk for the same reason that producers don't lurk in other fandoms: legal. People in forums could file lawsuits if they know that the producers are here and they think they stole their posted ideas. It's a "cover your a**" thing. 19. I'm new here, and have been lurking for a while, but I just wanted to comment on this episode. Frankly, it's another one outta the park! Lots of LOL moments, especially Howard imitating Bernadette (Simon is the king of voices) and Melissa pouting her line using her real voice. But, did anyone take the time to pause on the Venn diagram of Sheldon and Amy's costume choices? I did, and while most of the items weren't out of the ordinary for the characters, one item in Amy's column was a particularly good in-joke: "Blossom & Joey".
