I'm very late to the party when it comes to the show and have recently watched season 1 and 2. I absolutely love them! However on starting season 3 I'm noticing changes in the characters and overall direction.

    snip…

Which later season shows the most dramatic shift? From what I've seen alot of people believe the introduction of Amy has a significant impact on the feel of the show. :)

Hello, first off, welcome to the forums.  Just to let you know, your first few posts have to be approved by a admin or moderator. I saw you posted this twice, probably thinking it didn’t post.  I approved this one and deleted the other.

As for your topic, season three was a bit of a change as Leonard and Penny start dating.  Some of the shows were going to be about that, this might be the change you mentioned.  The addition of Bernadette and Amy were major turning points, no doubt.

While their introduction was in season three, they were added to the  main cast in season four.  So the major turning points would be, in season three, episode 5, The Creepy Candy Coating  Corollary for Bernadette’s introduction and  episode 23, The Lunar Excitation, for Amy’s introduction.  For their addition to main cast in season four, episode 4, The Hot Troll Deviation for Melissa’s addition and episode 8, The 21 Second Excitation, for Mayim’s.

These were major changes as it gave two other guys ( besides Leonard) regular interaction with other women.  It also opened up storylines with just the women and allowed the show to show more of Penny’s life.  But, it did change the show to more relationship based.  Now, relationships were always there before, and the geekiness was there after, but the relationships came to the forefront and the geekiness fell more to the background.

Finally, while you are correct, this subject has been discussed, it’s new to you, so feel free to discuss it.  In those discussions, there were those who disliked the changes, and felt the first three or four seasons were the best.  They didn’t like the more relationship based episodes.  As these became more frequent, those folks drifted away from the show.  Others liked the change and still others just went with the show where ever it went. Everyone was drawn to the show for their own reasons and liked what they liked.

I hope so. But as a fan, I wanted to see a friendly greeting on Insta. After that, I have doubts whether they are really friendly.

The funny part is their friendship doesn’t have to conform to the  wants or doubts of fans.  Personally, I would prefer a good Skype call from a friend to a quick greeting on IG.

Here’s a thought, some people (not just here)  were wondering if Johnny and Kaley were still friendly last year, as they hadn’t seen any public communication between them. When, at the time they were doing multiple joint interviews for the upcoming book.

It's not as if Kaley is planning to have four kids. And I somehow doubt that she has guests staying the night that ofteN .

She’s got to keep one of the bedrooms open for Johnny, right? 😜

  4. Hey all, TBBT78, who reads the first drafts of all my chapters has a new Lenny story out.  Its called Forever Young.  I thought I would put this here, to try to gin up some support.(I will also mention it in my author's note when I publish my next chapter next Sun/Mon.  With the reader base shrinking, it's getting harder for authors to justify writing Lenny stories  these days.  So give it a look if you haven't already.

Good to hear she is moving on with a new home for herself. Wonder if it's big enough for her animal companions. 😂

According to the article, it checks in at 5600 square feet (over 500 square meters for our non-US members).  That’s over 3 times the size of mine and I have my own menagerie, that fits  quite comfortably in mine, so I’m sure hers is big enough.

  6. One thing from Kaley's recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live, they asked her if she knew Penny's name and she mentioned, in her mind, it was Penny Penny Penny, all three of there names being Penny.  She was thinking Sheldon knew her first, middle, and last names.

Then she paused and said, "But, her last name is Hofstadter, now."

  7. Okay, this is a tough one.  I've got a couple of leads, but it may take me a couple of days, especially as I've got some things to do this weekend.  I'll let you know by Monday.

I believe Seth Myers is from New York so she is probably doing this virtually on zoom

She’s in NYC, according to her IG.

Yes  the guy she was with after Johnny was Christopher French when she broke her leg and they recorded a song. I believe he is  now married to Ashley Tisdale a friend of hers

She was also with Brett Bollinger, the bassist for the band Pepper.  She broke up with him a couple of months before her whirlwind  ten days with Henry Cavill.

  11. The video is nothing but word salad.  BTW,  Sheldon didn't have a theory, he had a hypothesis.  And, his hypothesis was for super-assymmetry not hypersymmetry, so connecting the two, is utterly useless. . My first question would be did you use a Hamiltonian or a Lagrangian to calculate the existence of hypersymmetry?

You use the term "infinite basis".  That has a very precise definition in the mathematics used in particle physics (where super-assymmetry lives).  Are you referring to the basis or the standard basis, and what unit vector are you using?

What is the exact meaning of your hypersymmetry?  If it exists, how does it model particles and what calculations are you using to show it can or does exist, at some point of time?

In what way does matter in movement change?  How does it change, and how does that change appear, compared to before  the change.  How do you the calculate the moment of hypersymmetry, from the change of matter?

What do you base your statement that the time interval can be very, very long?  How is that calculated?

I would wonder why you don't allow comments for your video.

How much real estate does Kaley really own, I read something, a while back, that she still owned that first place she lived in, when she started TBBT, before she moved into that place she lived with Ryan, when she first met him.  Also, does Big Bay have room for her to live, is it set up that way, to be a residence, too.

Inquiring minds need to know, (lol).

That first place was in Sherman Oaks, but she sold that, soon after buying and moving into the Tarzana place with Ryan (an interesting aside, one of the street views of that house shows Kaley getting some sore of envelope.  My guess would be one of the scripts as they are delivered late afternoon, which it appears to be, when they on their hiatus week).   As mentioned before, she owns the condo in North Hollywood, the house in Santa Barbara, the Hidden Hills house and the ranch in Hidden Valley.  I've also see reports of her trusts owning some commercial properties in and near Los Angeles.

From comments I've seen in print, Bri has used the Santa Barbara house in the past and Kaley admitted to previously using it on weekends as a sort of getaway.

Yes, it appears there is a place on the ranch that has room for her, call it a small bungalow.

Very educational. As always,  I learn a lot from your posting. Is your area getting any of this weather? I swear it almost feels like Hurricane season.😄

No,  we’re not getting any of the severe stuff.  We get some rain, but nothing severe.  It seems the fronts lose their power by the time they get her. We’re in between our winter pattern of severe weather from fronts and our summer pattern of severe afternoon thunderstorms.

Are the court records that readily available?  You cannot read the specifics of the divorce decree correct?

Yes, they are that readily available, and yes the specifics of the divorce decree are normally available.  They are public records and there are people, institutions, or government departments that need the information.  Some of the records require payment for the court system to provide them (got to pay the people that work there).

Now, having said they are normally available, some things are automatically sealed.  The entire divorce case will be sealed if there are adoption or paternity questions.  Parts of the divorce records such as  health,  identity of minor children, abuse are all automatically sealed within the divorce paperwork.  The individuals can request other things, such as financial records,  be sealed, if the judge determines those records have nothing to do with the divorce.

Also, in a case such as Kaley and Karl's divorce, neither of them is fighting about who gets what and they have a prenup.   Basically, in this case, the divorce decree will mention that division of property will be done in accordance with the pre-nuptial agreement, but nothing about the specifics of that agreement will be released.   Some things about payments and community property might be in there (That's how the various rag papers found out how much Kaley paid Ryan's physicians and the part about allowing him to keep all the coupons he has on him 😂 ). Those things were in their divorce decree and the magazines paid to find it out.

If Kaley and Karl both agreed to sell the house,  the sale of the house may be mentioned in the decree, but the specifics of the sale may not, as it would not really be part of the divorce.  Or, if there is a clause in both prenups, concerning what to do with community property, there may not be anything more than granting the divorce, with property division being in accordance with  the prenup..

Chucky, if you've read this far, this is a case of knowing a little bit, but knowing where to look up a lot of it, just to make sure the information was correct. 🙂

As I have said,  you are a wealth of knowledge, or you looked it up. Either way,  thanks for the info.😂

At some point I look it up.  Like I know, in California, there is at least a six month wait from the time of initial filing for divorce before it can become final.  I know that from 2015-16 when Kaley got her first divorce.  Anything on the current divorce I would have to look up.  The hard part is trying to find exactly where the information is at.  For instance, if you want to see their filing, or what any ruling have been, you have to go to various places within the Los Angeles County Court system to find the records.

Once I learn or know something, I can recall most of it, with minimal effort. And, for those things I can't recall, my memory is good enough that I can remember various things that something that can get me close enough that I am able to look up the information.  To be honest though, I'm starting to lose that a little bit.

Oh, I`m curious. Kaley and Karl bought this house in early 2020? I thought they were building it, or is it some other house? Kaley has any other place to live? I`m confused 🤔

5 hours ago, Mario D. said:

I think they bought the basic house but had renovations made to tailor their tastes

They had it built, then bought it.  The property had a house on the site and the property was bought by a developer in a private sale, who then demolished the house on the property.  He then  worked with Kaley and Karl in building the house and other buildings on the property,  to their specifications.  After it was completed, two trusts (you get one guess on who controlled those two trusts) bought the house, again in a private sale.

There are several reasons for doing a private sales; anonymity, taxes, cost, among others.  And, people with Kaley and Karl's wealth use trusts, LLCs, and corporations for all kinds of things.  The house was sold in a private sale.

I have an idea that the sale of the house may be part of the divorce proceedings.  Their divorce could have been final last month (six months from the initial filing).    The fact that it has not yet gone final is an indication, at least to me, that this may be the final piece in what is hold up the final decree.  Almost all of their income would be part of their prenup (based on their filings asking the judge not to include their income in community property).  This is something they bought together and it would have to be disposed of, either through a sale or one or the other buying out the others half, before the final decree issued.

  17. There is an unconfirmed rumor that Kaley has sold her currently house, the one her and Karl bought for $12 million in Hidden Hills CA.  I say unconfirmed as there is only one outlet reporting it.  There is another report,  but it is simply a copy and paste of the first one.  So, until we verify and approve the discussion, please do not post any discussion or speculation.  Any such posts will be hidden. Thanks.
