After lurking for a long time I finally joined up just to ask the question, why didn't Amy ask Sheldon if Stuart was also standing in for coitus? That would have been interesting.

LOL!!! I would have loved that.

I do agree at the beginning many of the character story arcs for Penny did relate to Leonard. That changed when the appearance with Priya. There was season 4 and part of season 5 they weren't together. Not to mention all the guys Sheldon saw Penny with before season 3 , including Zack in season 4. Leonard had the Leslie hook up, Stephanie, Dr.Plimpton, Bernie's friend, and the old rich woman. Sheldon on the other hand had never ever been on a date ( or been with a woman) and the only person he has dated is Amy. So I think that's why people think Amy's sole person is for Sheldon.

i think this whole think started as tensor mentioned earlier is because of someone wanting to see Amy's father. I do think most on here would like to see Leonard's father and Penny's siblings before Amy's father because Leonard and Penny's have been on since the beginning.

i don't think Lenny fans IMO are disappointed in their ship but in the way TPTB are portraying them.

in regards to the two ships many on here think the show is nothing without Sheldon. If that was true then wouldn't Amy seem to be not needed?

Why is this even an argument? Of course the show would be nothing without him because....Sheldon.

Shamy is also the NUMBER ONE ship. Let's just get this straight right now.

  3. Yeah, that's just it, I think it was Claire who was doing trying to do the manipulating when she knows just about nothing about Emily. She knew that Raj is basically weak and flip flops back in forth so she went for it and tried to keep him from going back to Emily.

I don't know where the writers are going with this yet but hopefully some where good.

Look, before anyone looks for the nearest tree and a piece of rope for me, let me just say I'm not raining on anyone's parade and if it was a wink so be it! But I've watched the episode a few times now, and it looked less of a wink to me and more of a "there ya go you got it" kind of a squishy face thing. No?

Make sense to me but either way, it was cute :-)

I'm wondering if the wink is a code for meet me in the bedroom later.  He winked the first time she walked in the bedroom, last night, and from the TR does it again next week.

It is probably just Jim's acting and a facial tic,  but god I love it when he does it.

Amy's replies next week and Sheldon including himself in the vasectomy suggestion club seem to indicate they failed to make it to Amy's next birthday.

Perhaps one thing led to another after her return from Detroit.

Wasn't a wink. It's this thing that Jim involuntarily does with his eye sometimes. You can go back and watch and see that he does it every once in a while.

I hope you don't mind, I'm writing here. :shy: But as a Lenny shipper i can say, that this episode wasn't disappointing at all for me. In fact, I really enjoyed it. And looking through other threads I think I'm not an exception. :icon_wink:

Greetings to all Shamy shippers from a Lenny who can truly enjoy Shamy too. :shy:

I thought Lenny was great. Aside from the fact that I feel the writers could have Penny lighten up a bit and just laugh with Leonard instead of giving him a look when he throws fries and later, confetti at her, this episode was actually a breath of fresh air compared to other Valentines Day episodes we've had for Lenny. They were so cute at the end all dressed up!

Sorry for raining on somebody's parade, but for me Lenny did not interrupt anything "big" (a proposal, to be clear). I didn't get the vibe that Sheldon was going to propose or stuff like that, for me he was saying something along the lines of what he was saying before the interruption, that two people who are in love may have rough times but those moments may help them to improve their relationship. Anyway, it  would have been nice to hear the end of his wonderful words, the parts we had the chance to listen to were so meaningful...

Yeah, I'm thinking maybe we may have seen a bit more, like him about to reach behind a pillow for the ring or something, if he was about to propose. LOL!

Still nice to pretend though. Haha ;-)

There's a new promo (well, new to me anyway!) for the Valentine's episode with Lenny crashing FWF with glitter, then having to clean up the mess they made. looks funny!

...and when were you going to tell me that pressing "play" on a picture is not an option here? Because I tried about 5 times. LMAO.

Or is it really a video and my laptop just sucks? LOL.

  7. Anyway, I thought Claire was cool but I'm not even gonna bother picturing a future with her and Raj because I'm just so confused as to what the hell the writers are doing with him right now. Will he go back to Emily eventually (if she wants that)? Will he and Lucy get back together? Will Yvette make a come back? Claire? I JUST DON'T KNOW! LOL.

Anyway, Claire scored some cool points with me for not liking Frozen. I'm not a fan either.

^^  I didn't see it that way at all, he was pointing out he was working on Amy, nothing about what Amy has done for him. To drive that point home they added Leonard's line of " He never disappoints does he", and Penny's "Yesss"!

I watched the scene again and I understand what you mean now. Although, now it got me wondering: Will we see a "talk" between he and Amy after all? I was thinking maybe we'd never see it (and I wasn't even sure I needed to see it) but the way he says, "Well...." after Amy mentioned that they have grown together following his comment about her being a work in progress, clearly something is still bothering Sheldon.

I'm hoping that if this is the case, that he doesn't hold his issues with her inside for long. We already know what holding feelings inside looks like on Amy's end. LOL.

I thought I'd share my thoughts (and confusion) about the Meemaw episode. I read the TR before viewing the episode but decided not to weigh in on the Meemaw/Amy "face-off" until it aired.  In both cases, I was really surprised by how Meemaw and Amy interacted. It seemed like they were strangers who had never spoken before.  Forgive me but I was under the impression from episode 8x11 (The Clean Room Infiltration) that Amy spoke with Meemaw:

    Sheldon: Cookies?
Amy: They're your MeeMaw's Christmas cookies. I called and got the recipe.

I imagine the two women would have shared stories during this off-screen conversation. If so, shouldn't Meemaw know Amy's love for her grandson? Amy's character?  Even if their relationship was strained because of the breakup and Meemaw needed reassurance that Amy wouldn't leave Moonpie again. I don't get why Meemaw acted so distant.  It was as if they never had any interaction/conversation prior to that moment. From both Amy's comments (you'll like me once you get to know me) and Meemaw referring to Mary liking her.  It just sounded like Meemaw had never talked to Amy to make her own opinion of her. Which I find weird considering 8x11.  Then again this is an assumption on my part, perhaps Amy got the cookie recipe from Mary in 8x11 and not Meemaw herself.

Would love to hear others thoughts on the Meemaw/Amy interaction in light of 8x11.

You make a good point. Based on that, Meemaw should have been less harsh towards Amy in my opinion.

It's clear that Sheldon is still a child in her eyes and she feels the need to protect him as if he's still a young boy who gets bullied in school.

I disagree here, only because Sheldon had to be prompted to admit it. He just said like 2 episode ago how much Amy changed him, and then ran out the door to get her back. This is not newly attained knowledge, she has helped him, and if he could say it then then why not now?

He did say it now. In his own words but he did when he talked to Meemaw about she changed PopPop for the better. He mentioned that because it mirrors his relationship with Amy. Just because he pointed out that Amy is a work in progress doesn't take away from the fact that he acknowledged that the break up did them both good, etc.
