  1. Naughty Amy/Mayim! Her skirt ends above the knee...wasn't expecting that much bare leg. Not complaining though. She looks GOOD... aside from the strange face she's making, but that's hard to avoid when you freeze-frame/pause a scene. Eat your heart out, Sheldon Cooper! ;-)
  2. Mayim. Used. The. Word. Awesome. O. M. G. I don't have any coherent thoughts to offer. Just that.
  3. Yes, but those photo albums were all on the 2014 Finales page, right? That's what it looked like to me, anyway. Even though the pic of Shamy is old, the CBS Monkeys could be hinting at the content of the finale.
  4. I would love this! Another scenario I've daydreamed about is Sheldon telling Amy matter-of-factly - in lieu of an actual ILY - that he anticipates being with her for a very long time, and maybe for the rest of their lives, and that it's only logical to assume that they will be....that he can't see any other outcome securing their mutual happiness. Maybe he doesn't get too deep into the touchy-feely stuff, but Amy can deduce from his declaration that he's in love with her. And maybe she says that out loud, alone, after he leaves. I do believe the finale will be Shamy-centric. Mayim said she doesn't know exactly what the finale will bring for them, so I'm assuming she has at least been told that a new development is ahead. Next Tuesday can't come fast enough!!!
  5. As much as I would love this, I have a hunch the writers are not going to make it so easy. They're a bunch of teases and now need to stretch the story out three more seasons, so....
  6. I thought that was brilliant acting on Jim's part and the funniest part of the scene! He treats the Geology book like a sleeping one-night-stand as he extracts his arm, lol. And the look on his face as he does it....perfection.
  7. Sorry about the link, guys! It's to the song "La La La" by Naughty Boy ft. Sam Smith.
  8. I posted this on the Spoilers thread then realized it might be appropriate here as well. Here's my response to the Shennies, Sheldon Purists, and other anti-Shamies who may try to harsh our shipping buzz: http://www.youtube.c...u4fo?autoplay=1 Ultimately, no matter what happens in this season's finale, Shamy is meant to be. Let the naysayers say what they may...they are wasting their breath and will be disappointed in the end.

  10. LOL, I posted a link to the same article over on the Shamy Spoilers Thread. I was struck by the fact that Mayim still doesn't know what the finale will be about...but obviously she's assuming, as we are, that it will be Shamy-related! Come on ILY or Sheldon-y variation of ILY!!!
  11. I enjoyed the episode, overall. A highlight for me was Sheldon's scene with Howard. He didn't monopolize the conversation (as he has so many times while exchanging stories/problems with Leonard) and he seemed to make a genuine attempt to console his friend. Definitely seeing signs of change/growth, and I like it.
  12. http://primetime.unrealitytv.co.uk/big-bang-theory-mayim-bialik-explains-sheldon-amys-relationship-developing-unusually/ Just found this. A bit more from Mayim.
  13. "But does she think Sheldon loves Amy? "I don't know about the L-word. We haven't really talked about it. I don't know if that's a word that Sheldon would think to use, and I don't know that it would bother Amy that he doesn't. I think she understands his quirks pretty well."" - Mayim Bialik Her answer to this question intrigues me. The interviewer asked whether she, Mayim, thinks Sheldon loves Amy, and she cleverly avoids this by talking about the semantics related to the issue rather than the emotions. She really doesn't answer the question at all...yet, surely, she has an opinion as to whether Sheldon loves Amy at this point. Maybe she knows something and is being extra cautious not to reveal too much?
  14. Just want say that I love this thread! Sometimes I feel a little down after reading through the Shamy Spoilers posts. Then I come here and get my excitement back! I became part of this fandom to have fun and enjoy the camaraderie that comes with sharing an interest/passion with others. I've done my share of over-analyzing, nit-picking and fretting over minutiae, but I'm ready for a little break from that. I'm taking a step back and savoring the remaining spoilers/episodes. And I do believe the writers will deliver. This is "the year of the Shamy," after all! :-D
  15. This paired with an emotional declaration is my dream scenario at the moment.
  16. Ok, so I'm not saying the line doesn't irk me...it does...but if we want to be happy as a fandom, we can't worry about how the Shennies are going to interpret the episode. If we do that, we're going to be miserable and frustrated unnecessarily. I don't think the average viewer will pay much attention to the line, as it's just one in a list of reasons for Sheldon's comfort level with Penny, not the punch line. And as I said before, the most significant part of the episode -- the part that people will talk about and remember -- is the fact that there's confirmation that Sheldon is supposed to end up with Amy, and Penny fully supports that. She is Sheldon's close friend and she is encouraging him to further his relationship with Amy. THAT is what reviews will be written about. Something's wrong with my phone or the site; sorry about the double post above. Can't edit right now.
  17. So true; that line is not helping poor Amy. WTH, writers? They MUST be up to something with this...it's such a completely inappropriate reaction to Amy's insecurity. What was the point? Would they really throw that in to appease Shenny shippers? Ugh, I'm going back and forth between thinking TPTB are setting something up and thinking that they're just waaaayy too into glorifying the Shenny relationship.
  18. Well, if Leonard said that and isn't bothered by the so-called "special connection", it's nothing to worry about. Do they have a connection? Absolutely. Is it anything more than friendship? Not in the slightest. Does it trump or negate the connection Sheldon has with Amy? No way. I don't think we should read too much into it. ETA: True that the Shennies will be all over that. And it is sloppy writing. The writers could have had Leonard encourage Amy and say something like, "but obviously you guys have something special that's very different from what he shares with Penny." IDK why they wrote it this way. Maybe it would have been more difficult to perepetuate Amy's insecurity/vulnerability if Leonard had assuaged her concerns in that scene. I'm really getting the feeling that the final episodes are going to address Amy's recent reactions and behavior.
  19. Sorry if I'm being dense but can someone tell me why we're freaking out?
  20. http://www.digitalspy.com/tv/s217/the-big-bang-theory/recaps/a562483/the-big-bang-theory-recap-ps4-or-xbox-one.html#~oAIXdtISsDrbDq "One big moment occurred when Sheldon and Amy kissed once again, following on from their first a few weeks ago. It was great to see that this wasn't a one-off, and that Sheldon appeared to actually enjoy the task, rather than be forced to by Amy, even if the kiss was very PG-13." From "Digital Spy." PG-13? Really? I don't know about that, but I'm glad that the reviewer agrees that Sheldon "appeared to enjoy the task".
  21. Not that I'm trying to tell anyone how they should feel or react to the S/P "issue", and Cod knows I have wrestled with my fair share of pessimism, but I really think that we need to try not to let ourselves be deflated by this episode. As Koops and others have pointed out, it's sloppily written and inconsistent with what we've seen recently. But I think that what most people -- including casual viewers -- will come away with is the message that fate/the universe/etc. has determined that Sheldon belongs with Amy in every way possible, and that (very soon) he's going to figure that out for himself. It's presented in a clumsy, on-the-nose fashion, but it's still a point that's clearly made. How anyone could believe that there's lingering potential for a romantic Shenny pairing is beyond me. If that ever happened, even if S & P shared an ambiguous moment or it was hinted at that they had feelings for each other, TPTB would be alienating the majority of their fanbase and destroy all the progress they've made with Shamy AND Lenny in one fell swoop. There would be no going back. They'd be committing series suicide. They won't go there. ITA with Phanta's comments on why Sheldon might be more "comfortable" with Penny and/or Leonard. Platonic relationships allow for an openness that doesn't always come as easily with a romantic partner. As to why the writers decided to make Amy suddenly insecure and jealous of Penny at this point, I believe they were just looking for a way to make Amy appear vulnerable....and that's going to lead into something in the final episodes. I also like Phanta's explanation of Amy's "white lie" to Sheldon. She's obviously very supportive and patient with him in general, but everyone has their limit. We have no idea how many times they discussed his career or how those conversations went. It could be that Sheldon shot down or belittled her suggestions, and in that case, she would understandably need a break at some point. IDK. All will be revealed very soon, and I'm savoring these last few weeks of spoilers before the summer hiatus. The writers have done well so far, and I think they know their fanbase better than we sometimes give them credit for. I'm going to trust that they will do right by these characters in the end.
  22. What website? Probably overrun by a bunch of Shenny shippers or Sheldon purists. I wouldn't worry about it as I believe the majority of fans like the Shamy and the direction they're headed. Haters gonna hate, right? ;-)
