  1. Believe me, I know exactly what you've been through. Happy to hear that you are cancer free.
  2. He knew in his heart that the thing with Priya was over. He was in denial.
  3. The only reason Leonard "kept quiet" about it for two years was because the writers pulled it out of their collective arses at the last minute to add end-of-season drama.
  4. Haven't watched the ep. yet (12 hour night shifts) but reading all the wonderful comments here have me looking forward to it with great anticipation.
  5. But isn't the wedding supposed to mainly be the bride's day? Amy should have the wedding she wants.
  6. Looks like I missed a party! Happy Birthday, Luminous, and thanks for all the wonderful Lenny artwork.
  7. I think the Lenny/Zack scene was the best part of this episode, not just for the humour, but for showing how Penny really felt about the only real breakup L and P ever had (that's my little dig at the lack of continuity).
  8. That was such great delivery. And how she looks up at Leonard; perfection!
  9. Me too! Didn't take me long to drift away from That Seventies Show after Eric left.
  10. Been here over 5 years and just now getting my 1000th post. Thought this would be the appropriate thread for it. Yay Lenny!
  11. Personally, I don't think Raj needs an end game. I just don't see any necessity to having everyone paired off by the end of the series. And it's not because I don't like him, although he is an ass, but because it just seems a little forced.
  12. I'm not completely convinced yet, but it looks more promising all the time.
  13. Thanks Babar. Nice to hear that they didn't make Penny bad at looking after the baby.

    Gordon Downie

For those who don't know, Gord Downie was the frontman and lyricist of the iconic Canadian rock band The Tragically Hip. He's the same age as me and just passed away from complications due to inoperable brain cancer. A sad, though not unexpected, eventuality. RIP
  15. Honestly, I had no problem with the line. I thought Leonard was being self-deprecating in a way, as well as playfully sarcastic rather than mean. JMHO The delivery was the important thing.

    Star Wars Vlll

Watched the trailer...interesting...lets just say I think this is going to provoke some lively discussions.

    RIP Tom Petty

    Another great talent lost.
  18. Absolutely. Also maybe focus on the practical applications that the knowledge we do have enables. (of course he couldn't talk about their top secret project!)
  19. I'm gonna go with 3ku11 on this one. Penny did try to cheer Leonard up. As far as the radio interview goes, Leonard was being honest, shouldn't fault him for that. I don't think that physics is dead per se, but it may be stuck in a bit of a rut with unverifiable hypotheses, at least as far as the basic inner workings of the universe goes. In any case, I thought it was a good episode overall.
  20. Exactly what I expected. Not my cup of tea. I've never cared for the "adult narrating his childhood" format, or shows featuring overly-forward children.
  21. Between this and the parenting book, I wouldn't be surprised if it was brought up more often. I thought the Lenny was good tonight. The line about having a baby if he thought she was leaving him was really not bad, obviously said in jest and softened by the hand holding and kiss. Also loved Penny's face full-of-cake happy anniversary.

    The Orville

Watched it last night. It has potential. Not as much comedy as the trailers would make you think. More serious and less over the top than you'd expect from Seth Macfarlane which I think is a good thing.
