  1. Upcoming Schedule: Misophonia - July 7th Leticia Parsons Jackson - July 21st Lionne - August 4th Kasey - August 25th Pearlgrl - September 8th Willo the Wisp - September 22nd ----------------------------------- Hotseats are back for a second round. The scheduling will be changed slightly because of how much more work they are here for me than they have been at other boards in the past. I am looking for 4-5 volunteers for the second round and the hotseats will be every other week instead of every week. After the first batch of 3 I will take a couple of weeks off before doing the second batch of 3. There are plenty of hotseats for you to see examples but basically if you volunteer you will answer questions posted to you by me and a few others. The questions are not designed to reveal your identity they are just to learn more about you. Some will be serious, some will be funny, and some will make you think you are having tea with the Mad Hatter. It is your choice how specific you want to be in your responses or you can even politely decline to answer a question if for any reason it makes you uncomfortable. That hasn't happened in the past yet but it could. There are posted guidelines in each thread to protect the volunteer and to protect the fun. Questions are asked for 4 to 5 days at first but unless you want it to end completely some hotseats get a few new questions off and on for weeks and months later.
  2. Wio is on the hotseat. Ask away! A couple of guidelines: 1) This is an absolutely zero debate zone. 2) Follow-up questions are heavily encouraged. You are also encouraged to discuss things you find you have in common 3) Some people will be more open than others about sharing real life details. Please respect that. 4) It is not off-topic to explore something about a person like a hobby or cultural differences as long as they don't mind answering. 5) We post about TBBT so much in other forums and since it can turn into a debate so easily TBBT questions are discouraged. If you want to ask something please be careful... please. 6) Different people will answer at different paces so don't get discouraged if it takes awhile to get your answer. 7) Specific interpretations of religion and religious text are a hot mess on a message board on a good day. They really need to be avoided in hotseats because it will make future participants uneasy. The same goes for political discussions. Remember this is a zero debate zone. Have fun!! New Standard Starting Questions: 1) Why did you choose your screen name and avatar? 2) How did you find this board? 3) If you don't mind answering what is your gender and approximate age? 4) Same on general location of where you are currently living. 5) What is your favorite kind of music? 6) What is your least favorite kind of music? 7) What is your favorite cuisine? Do you have any siblings, if so how many and where do you fall in the line-up? 9) Do you have any pets? 10) Hobbies? 11) What is your favorite color? 12) What celebrity would you pick to play in a movie about your life? 13) What is your favorite time of day? 14) What do you do that you find especially rewarding? 15) What animal do you think best represents your personality?

  18. Upcoming Schedule: lbid- Mar 11 Sursonica- Mar 18 Rachygd- Mar 24 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ What is the hotseat you ask? The hotseat features one poster who is willing to answer questions about themselves. Answers can be the truth, can be funny, or can even be lies. All answers are revealing. The point is to peak behind the curtain and explore some other poster's madness. Any question that is personal can be answered very generically. Questions specific to your identity should not be asked and if they are they should be ignored. If answering a question, even a silly one, can compromise you in any way just say so and move on. For instance my family has been in the news recently so anything related to that would be politely declined. Examples of common questions: Dinner with someone living or dead who would it be? Favorite: Color Book Movie Food, etc What animal is most like you? If you could travel in time when and where? Trapped on a desert island who would you take? People normally get creative and ask you bizarre things too like which radioactive insect would you want to get your powers from? Or what is the craziest thing you have ever done to get rid of an annoying person? Edited: The new schedule ends when the poster wants it to end. I will start it a day before the start date. Please sign up like this: Your name Feb 3. First come first, first serve and you can swap schedules if you need. Just let me know.
