I noticed this one day watching lord of the rings. I noticed when he says "My precious" and they explain how he became like this he kind of acted like a strung out meth addict. I was thinking about the Ring and I realized it seems to be a lot like drug addiction. They only have so many rings, If they touch it they go insane and eventually turn into "My precious" after a long period, there is people trying to destroy the drugs since it says civilization cant handle it, The drug does both good and bad things for the people using it and this is what creates addiction, The person who invented it had a good purpose for making it but things didn't turn out so well, they have groups of people fighting over it since they are addicted. I think lord of the rings has nothing to do with a journey or fantasy but I think its just an overly elaborate and creative way of presenting drugs and the things it does to people. When froto takes the ring they tell him to not use it but to get rid of it. The reason he is given this command is because he will also become addicted and the movie is them trying to get rid of drug addiction but most of the world is addicted. Even the fact they make army's to get the ring is like gang wars.
