Is there any info on the TV projects she was supposedly to produce.  "Pretty" - about a girl in a wheelchair and  "America's Sweetheart"

America’s Sweetheart is in pre-production for Apple TV.  Pretty, like Johnny’s “The Squad”,  
may have been a casualty of Covid.  It was announced for CBS in 2019, but nothing since late 2019

Kaley Cuoco Thriller ‘Role Play’ Adds Connie Nielsen

The Wonder Woman franchise actress is joining the Studiocanal, Picture Company and Amazon Prime Video movie Role Play opposite Kaley Cuoco, David Oyelowo and Bill Nighy.

The details of Connie Nielsen’s role are under wraps.

The Thomas Vincent directed pic centers around a married couple, played by Cuoco and Oyelowo, whose life turns upside down when secrets come out about each other’s pasts. Nighy portrays a mysterious stranger who comes into their lives.

Seth Owen wrote Role Play. Andrew Baldwin also co-wrote. Brillstein Grey’s George Heller conceived the idea and serves as EP.

In Kaley's latest IG post she captions the photo with "First time movie mom"  I believe she played a mom in the film "Burning Bodhi"

Bill Nighy Boards Kaley Cuoco Thriller ‘Role Play’ From Studiocanal, Picture Company & Prime Video

Two-time BAFTA winner Bill Nighy is joining the Kaley Cuoco and David Oyelowo high concept thriller Role Play from Studiocanal, Picture Company and Amazon Prime Video.

Nighy steps in for Billy Bob Thornton who had to depart the project due to a scheduling conflict, we hear.

The Thomas Vincent directed pic revolves around a married couple, played by Cuoco and Oyelowo, whose life turns upside down when secrets come out about each other’s pasts. The role that Nighy is taking over for was under wraps, described as a mysterious stranger who encounters the couple. The movie is shooting in Berlin currently at Studio Babelsberg.

She didn't.  She was with someone (not clear on whether they were married, I don't think so).  I think she was a convicted drug dealer.   There may have been comments about her having a kid, but it being taken away, so it wasn't seen in the movie.  I have it, I'll look it up and get back to you.

She did have a son, but it was hardly a family.  Her grandmother had custody due to her conviction (I was wrong here also, they don't say why, just that she was convicted, spent some time in jail, and is part of a work crew for probation).   She had to live at her grandmother's house to see the kid, however, she spent more time at her boyfriend's (which was a small motorhome) drinking and smoking (Kaley smokes a lot in this film).   In the middle of the film, she takes Dylan (the main character) to her grandmother's house to see the kid.  But, her and Dylan spend all the time talking, while Ember (Cody Horn's character) plays with the kid.  

There's a scene where she leaves her grandmother's house to go to her boyfriend's motorhome for the night. There is a scene at the end (probably the one you're thinking of) where she plays with the kid for 15-20 seconds.  This is after a scene where she says goodbye to her boyfriend, gets rid of her makeup (the character  is heavily made up in the film) like she is making a change to be a better mother and person.  

So, it's hard to call this a family and I can understand why she would call Role Play  her first film family.  Bohdi was a real gritty performance for her.  She has a real good dramatic scene when Dylan is texting her, wanting to get back together (they were boyfriend-girlfriend in high school). She knows she hurt him (she slept with his best friend, Bohdi) and is aware they are not good for each other, but she is still really upset she is turning him away.

Yes I recall all that and she was excellent in this role. Also, if I further recall this film was shot in Alburquerque, NM and when she auditioned for the part the producer did not even know who she was. So she completely won this part. A total withdrawl from her Penny character.

It does seem to be a total withdrawal from her portrayal of her Penny character. As I've always said, she's a wonderful actress.
