There are several new pieces coming out over the next week.  One will be in Glamour on Monday (go to the Glamour  website to find it.  And, of course, the book is due out on Tuesday.

Jessica also mentioned (I don't know if it's going to be in the Glamour execerpt or not) that in the later seasons there was a plan to have Leonard and Penny break up, but the writers reversed course on that at the last minute.

That part about Leonard and Penny breaking up is something I felt was going to happen. They always seemed to be arguing. Every episode there was tension. That was until the announcement that Penny was pregnant. I"m really glad that they rethought and reversed that decision

Prob around s7. Around Pennys career plot. I’m glad they reversed it though.

I think the writers considered breaking Penny and Leonard up after the season 8 finale when they went to Las Vegas to get married. However, Kaley and Johnny were opposed to this scenario as they felt it would devastate the fans of their characters, especially Kaley who felt it was important they stay together. They considered what would happen if they did break up, how will they react to each other. In the end they kept them together and married and I think we are all grateful for that decision.

So very true. I may have stopped watching if they had. That kiss with Mandy was ridiculous.

Just bought the book. Great read. Interesting Tibit about the process of the pilot and casting. Johnny turned down the role 4 times. He was on Broadway at the time. Diddnt want to be cast as nerdy anymore. But was convinced after reading the script.

Interesting indeed. He took the part and the rest is history. 😊

I think, for me, is the chapter about Johnny and Kaley. How their love, respect, admiration and joy for each other grew from castmates to romantic partners to deep friendship. There were many behind the scenes tidbits that I did not know.

An absolutely fantastic book. A lot of behind the scenes information and insite into the creative minds behind TBBT. I cannot recommend it enough to any serious TBBT fan.

BTW: In the acknowledgements on page 495 there's a very nice mention of someone important to this forum. Nice to see our bit of the Big Bang universe represented in the book.
