The future of the show

Hello, good people, I love the show, I love the big bang theory. I love Sheldon.

We all know that Sheldon's dad dies when Sheldon is 14. We also know that he cheats on his wife at least once and Sheldon sees that and they never talk about it.

Among other Sheldon facts that the young Sheldon show has kind of ignored these two are the ones that keep me on watching the show.

I want to know how you guys think the producers will deal with that.

Is the show going to end with the death of Sheldon's dad or will they change it into something else? Will we follow Sheldon on his journey and leave his family behind?

I do not watch Young Sheldon on a regular basis however, I think they will handle Sheldon's dad death in probably the last season the show will be on air.  I cannot perceive tptb showing his death before the show is ended as his character is not portrayed as he is mentioned on TBBT They do not comply strictly with canon of the show.

I watched YS from the beginning through the end of last season. I skipped the first episode of the new season and may not continue to watch at all. To be honest, the show has become a tedious dramedy filled with mostly unhappy characters. Georgie is unhappy. Mary is unhappy. George is unhappy. Mee-Maw is a criminal with an unhappy (ex?) boyfriend. Only Sheldon and MIssy are shown in any other light and they're not the focus of the show. YS, should at this point be called "The Coopers".
