trying to identify a sitcom scene

I've never watched the Big Bang Theory but I saw a sitcom scene years ago that I'm trying to identify that seems like it could have been in the Big Bang Theory.  In the scene Young Guy A, who apparently worked in scientific research, confronted Young Guy B because YGA suspected YGB had stolen one of his research ideas, or something. YGA brought with him his female friend (or maybe sister) who was a lawyer. It turned out the Young Woman Lawyer got her law degree at Pepperdine U., which is located in or near Malibu, Calif., and YGB made some jokes about her being a 'Malibu Barbie lawyer' or something along those lines. In the end YGA and YWL were able to prove that YGB stole his research idea or whatever and force him to return it or put things right. If that rings a bell with anyone let me know, thanks.
