Mario D. Posted May 12 Posted May 12 When I watched Big Bang originally I was amused at the Sheldon character. However, after watching reruns many times his character just grades on me and as Penny says "creams my corn". One question on my mind was why did the writers make Sheldon win most of the time. His eccentric character was absurd all the time but to make him prevail in many instances just didn't hold true for me. He won when Leonard had to wear that sweater, he won when he blackmailed Priya just to get his way in the RA, he won when Leonard bought the table (sometimes the baby wins), he seemingly won when he and Amy thought they were the better couple, and he supposedly won when they played the drinking game in the cabin. And let's not forget all the times he insulted Penny with his sexual history remarks. She should have slapped him many times for his inappropriateness. So why couldn't they write some dialogue rebutting all his insults and arrogance. I can only recall one time when Penny gave it back to him and he really did not get it. (When Sheldon thought his reputation was at stake and asked Penny for advice since she had a "checkered past")
