I only put up my model trains at Christmas time by the tree. I had them on a board in an oval and within the circle I erected a small village and a military fort. Guess this was some of the happiest times of my life and I can see why Sheldon loved it so much.

HeWolf
This was another unfulfilled TBBT element. Sheldon is supposed to be a train fanatic. Old trains, new trains, model trains, training Penny, etc. Yet, at no point do we see Sheldon with a model railroad. He has some HO and N scale engines but no cars or track. Never do we see any sign of him actually using the engines for any purpose aside from demonstrating how he can put one in his mouth. This would have been an excellent use for the wasted space in the apartment under the large windows. Edited June 6 by HeWolf

If I recall didn't he purchase a train set in the episode when Amy and Leonard go to a wedding and didn't he have a train set and tracks in his bedroom when Amy got Wil Wheaton to talk to him? I also remember an episode in YS where he built a train set in the garage. Probably when he got his love for trains. Think this was probably the only episode I watched on YS. You could be right about the train set. I don't remember seeing one but I could have missed it. There were several YS episodes that showed him with his model train set in the garage. Yeah I remember when Will Wheaton went into Sheldon's bedroom with Amy, Sheldon was on the floor with an engineer's cap on. He invited Will to play with him, but wouldn't let him handle the controls of the train. I don't believe the train was ever shown. 19 hours ago, TLW said: I can see him telling Amy that's where he wants to go for their second honeymoon. 😊 Very possible. He probably just told her to get her keys, they were going on a trip. 😊

I thought there was one where they had his track set up on the coffee table and he blows the horn and says, "WOO, WOO".
