I assume it's some dude named Zarnecki who hacks into Sheldon's account. I'm just curious if it was AoC or WoW that was hacked into. Probably WoW. Whatever the case may be, even though the "boys" are getting to the bottom of it, it will probably be Penny who saves the day. Sorry, Queen Penelope.

I think "TBBT" returns to the original dynamics with some different characters. Sheldon will remain the same, except that now the boys will find how to beat the game as Howard did with the card trick.

Leonard did not continue his relationship with Priya maintaining friendship with Penny, but not back together.

Penny will be established in any profession, but I do not think his dream is fulfilled as an actress.

Howard and Raj have significant interests but still always add opriginal group (Sheldon, Leonard and Penny).

I happened to read a very detailed report of the live taping of this episode, but I'll spare you the spoiler details. :p

I bet we probably read the same taping report written by a lady (from Fan Forum) but you are right, mums the word. ;)

There will be 24 episodes for Season 4. 20 of the episodes have already been taped with last night's being the 18th episode they have aired on CBS. They are taking a week off before taping the 4 remaining episodes on tuesdays March 22 and 29 and April 5 and 12.

Does this show use cue cards to tell the audience how to react? Just something I picked up on with the last episode when everyone went "Ooooo!" together

No, the woman whose taping report that I read says that they don't do anything like that. On the contrary they have stopped a scene before to tell the audience not to cheer or AWWW so much when they are doing a scene. When Penny broke down and started to cry when she said that she was happy Leonard had found somebody, the audience let out a loud AWWW. They told the audience not to say it so loud and redid the scene. In last season's 3 finale (The Lunar Excitation), where a drunk Penny tells Leonard that they are going to have sex, the audience went nuts and loudly cheered. They stopped the scene and told the audience not to cheer so loud, even Kaley got into it and said something like "Isn't this great".

One thing to remember, since they can edit the sounds made on a set they can do that with the sounds made from the audience as well.

I guess the people who buy the tickets and go to watch the live taping are already reasonably devoted and informed BBT fans, so they know the characters inside out and have spontaneous reactions of pleasure/affection/concern etc at relevant points in the story, apart from laughing when it's funny. Somehow I enjoy hearing those reactions more, because it reflects the level of connection the viewers feel with these people and their lives.

I never really noticed the audience before really, I only ever notice them when they laugh at something which isn't that funny... surely they must put something over those parts which arent all that funny, rather than just hear a couple of guys in the back rows go "heh...". Either that or they are all high and will laugh at anything :p

That's actually a plausible deduction. I'm sure that the atmosphere at these tapings is infectious, the audience is really excited to be there and would be ready to laugh at pretty much anything.

I hardly notice the laughter, when I'm watching; not because I'm laughing myself all the time, but probably I'm just used to it. I note the other reactions because I find them interesting.

Yeah you're probably right about the infectious atmosphere. But you know the whole audience laughing at the soft jokes that occur every other sentence... just seems rather mechanical to me.

I don't have a very good idea of how this live audience recording thing works, but I guess there must be some brushing-up of the recorded laughter - toning up/down the duration or intensity at places. It probably wouldn't work smoothly without that.

Yeah I suppose phones going off or people coughing would kind of ruin the immersion a bit :p
