Ben82077 Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 We (The audience) always see, Sheldon worrying about the little stuff, being awkward in social environments and with people at work or out in public; "That's my spot.", "No, it's not Tuesday, Thursdays are pizza days, Tuesday is pasta day." etc. What about if Sheldons', personality changed for an episode (or a 2 part)? Leonard forgot to put the new shower sticky mats in the shower after cleaning (or Sheldon gets hit in the head at work by a book or something). Sheldon, steps in and slips, hits his head and becomes this suave, smooth talking ladies man and doesn't seem to worry about anything, still has the intellect and intelligence like old Sheldon. Plot: Girls are over for their regular dinner get together with the guys, Sheldon is in the shower, still, waking up from falling in the shower. Sheldon, usually with a towel over his head and a towel around him, comes out with just the towel around his waist. Amy, just about loses it and try's to the earths end to get with sheldon, while Sheldon is putting the moves on Leonards' wife, Penny. So at the first, the guys are all for it, they like the new Sheldon. Leonard is on the fence about since he keeps trying to get with Penny. Later in the episode, something happens, the guys decide together, "We want old Sheldon back." Penny, trying to keep Sheldon away is all on board with getting the old Sheldon back. So the guys and girls devise a plan to make Sheldon the way he was, go back to how it all started; the shower. I just think the audience would like to see Sheldon in a different light for an episode or two. "What if he was a ladies man?" Just an idea. jeffbox Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 For the past several years, I have volunteered to be a science fair judge. They need people with science and engineering degrees in all areas. Some come from industry and others from colleges and universities. In my area, the winners from schools in seven counties roll up into the regional fair. From there, winners can go to state, country, and international levels. I always enjoy it because I get to interview some amazing young people. And, of course, some are a bit terrified and I have to work to make them comfortable and draw their ideas out. As an episode idea, there is some rich ground here. Start with: the Stanford dean leans on the four to be judges because the flu has knocked out many of the regular judges. They reluctantly agree. Consider the possibilities: Sheldon meets a high school physics student that is smarter and stranger than him. Or the student has the answer for a problem that has eluded sheldon for years. Similar encounters might happen to the others...

Smartnerd#1 Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 (edited) Hello, I'm new here and not to sure this is where I should post this but thought I would give it a try. I love the bbt and just happened to have an idea for a show that could be made very funny by the writters. On Google they sell world globes that are chalk boards in thinking of myself trying to draw out all the continents I started laughing because it's hard to write nice on a regular chalk board I couldn't imagine trying to be persice lol... What if Sheldon got his hands on a chalkboard world globe now that could be funny. Thanks for listening Edited March 15, 2016 by Smartnerd#

mr.distanceed Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 I'm new to the forum and joined just so I could suggest that the series bring Walter O'Brien (Scorpion) on for a guest appearance. I would love to see how Sheldon responds to Walter.

The episode is And The Dish Ran Away With The Spoon. The point wasn't that it was on the roof but that Leonard should arrange something original and romantic by himself and should play his cello for Penny. An improvement would be that while he's playing (say) The Tennessee Waltz while Penny drinks sparkling wine he's also recording it, and when he's finished playing it he plays it back and they dance to it. JohnPhD Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 At the beginning of 913 Penny, Bernadette and Emily all "loved" Leonardo di Caprio. I'd like it if their respective guys agree to watch "Titanic" with them as a display of consideration/respect for their tastes. Amy joins them and persuades Sheldon. After watching it all 8 are together either in a restaurant or in 4a. They must be seated so that separate women's and men's conversational groups can't form. The women are looking forward to discussing the film, but the men take over the conversation to discuss why the Titanic sank and why there was so much loss of life (hint: it wasn't lack of lifeboats). We see the faces of the women, particularly Penny, as they find themselves being given more information than they ever thought could exist about such topics as the metallurgy of steel rivets and radio communications in the early 2othC. dcb2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 I'd like to suggest not a whole episode, but simply one topic to be covered within an episode. Sheldon often makes pointed, but accurate, comments about the silliness of various social trends. One of my pet peeves is the growing practice of saying "sorry" for just about everything: if you lightly brush another person in line at the movie theatre, if you cut somebody off in traffic, etc. The response to almost every inconsiderate act is to reply with "Sorry!" Even something as sublime as farting. In so many situations where another expression would be more appropriate, "sorry" is said instead. I'd like to see Sheldon apply his sharp wit to point out how inappropriate it is to say "sorry" for everything. Following is a situation I am sure many viewers can relate to, and it gets the gist of my message across (I am sure the writers of "The Big Bang Theory" can do a much better job than me.) - - - SETTING: A supermarket. Sheldon and Leonard are shopping for groceries. Leonard is wearing a hoodie, with the hood on. They are each pushing a shopping cart, are walking parallel down the same aisle, going in the same direction, with Leonard somewhat ahead of Sheldon. Suddenly, Leonard cuts in front of Sheldon without looking, causing Sheldon to stop quickly to avoid running into Leonard. Leonard browses the shelves without realizing he almost caused a shopping cart collision. Sheldon: Leonard! Why did you abruptly cut in front of me without looking first? I almost ran into you! Leonard: Sorry. I didn't see you. When I am wearing a hoodie, I have almost no peripheral vision and lost track of where you were. Sheldon: Well, if you know a hoodie reduces your peripheral vision, why wouldn't you take that into account and make the extra effort to look before you make sudden lane changes? When you are driving your car, you don't abruptly change lanes without doing a shoulder check, do you? Leonard: No, I don't. But we are in a supermarket and I just didn't think about it. Sorry. Leonard takes the hood off, so he gets his peripheral vision back. Sheldon, just shakes his head. They both continue walking down the aisle, browsing the shelves, but now Leonard is directly in front of Sheldon. Suddenly, Leonard comes to stop. Something has caught his eye. This time, Sheldon cannot stop in time, and he runs into Leonard's butt--gently. Leonard turns around, and says, "Sorry." Then he turns back to further investigate the product that caught his eye. Sheldon: Leonard, you know I am right behind you, but you still stopped without warning. Why would you do that? What if I had stacked my eggs cartons? I'd have a mess of broken eggs in my shopping cart now. Leonard: Sorry. I did know you were behind me, but when I saw this (referring to the product in his hand), my mind focussed on it and I forgot about you. Sheldon: Please be more careful. Again, Sheldon just shakes his head and then they continue walking down the aisle. This time, Sheldon gives Leonard more room. Leonard is a few paces in front of Sheldon. Then he sees something on the opposite side of the aisle, so he swings his shopping cart in that direction, takes a few steps toward it, but then leaves his shopping cart parked sideways across the aisle, as he walks up to the product, takes it off the shelf, and reads its packaging. Sheldon makes a slight effort to get around Leonard`s shopping cart, but cannot; there is not enough room. Sheldon: Excuse me! Leonard you have blocked the aisle by parking your cart sideways across the aisle and I would like to get by. Again with a car reference, you don`t park your car sideways across a street, do you? You park it nicely along a side, so other people can get by. Leonard: Sorry. Leonard moves his cart out of the way, parking it nicely along the side. He is clearly preoccupied. Then he goes back to investigating the product. Sheldon: Excuse me, Leonard. That is the fifth time you have said "sorry." But I don`t think you are sorry. To me, when somebody says "sorry" it indicates a sincere regret on the part of the person saying it, as well as a genuine desire to learn from the experience so as not to do it again. You, on the other hand, are casually throwing the word out there like it has no meaning. You have continued to behave without consideration of people around you--in the present case, me--and seem to say "sorry" only as a means to placate me as you continue to do it. Stop it! Stop saying sorry if you don't mean it. AND THE SHOW CONTINUES ...

Los Astros Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Hello, I would like to suggest Sheldon mentioning IPv6 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPv6) in the show. I can imagine something like Sheldon very happy because his Internet Service Provider will be turning IPv6 in their Internet access, them Howard & Raj want the same ISP in their homes. The idea above is just trying to encourage IPv6 (new version of the Internet Protocol) adoption in Internet. Maertziony Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 Maybe this has already been suggested. Nevertheless I think that Raj, Howard or Sheldon should undertake a graduate student. They practically run their own labs, most people who do usually have graduate students. Its a bit overdue and if the show doesnt have any more room to expand the show with another character then its understandable that they have avoided this topic. In any case, Im certain introducing a graduate student that would be supervised by any of the three would bring about several comical/funny moments while also making their science/academic characters more authentic. Sheldon has already worked with 2 different graduate students. I doubt they'd be adding any new characters for more than one or two episodes. Sheldon's assistant Alex was only around for a few episodes and didn't seem destined to be any kind of read addition to the cast, but simply a character that served a purpose for a short time, like Dr. Stephanie back in the day. JohnPhD Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Leonard asks Penny to accompany him to Houston for a couple of days, where they can visit that space centre place that Howard and Sheldon went to together. Penny's not keen, but with her usual kindness agrees because L wants it. Next they're coming out of the space centre about midday and P says "I enjoyed that more than I expected to". It wuldn't mean anything to her, but a nice reference for the audience. In the afternoon they buy an up-market pair of western boots for Penny. Have to be ready-mades. Much trying on and strutting about. Then in the evening L reveals that the main reason he's brought P to Houston is to visit the Houston Rodeo then in progress. P delighted that L has managed to think of just what she'd like. Last scene is in their hotel room. L facing audience emerges from bathroom in dressing gown. P facing L is concealed by something or other from the knees up so that all we see is the boots and upper calf. End. This ep would feature 2 things I'd like to see. One is Leonard making a bit of effort to please Penny. You can guess what the other is.
crash priddle Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 (edited) I've got a great idea for an episode that I hope the producers see. It's a Family Matters cross over even though the show ended in 1998. Sheldon is in the comic book store and he meets a grown up Steve Urkel who is visiting Pasadena for a presentation at the university. They strike up a conversation and they both learn they have a lot in common and they become best friends much to the annoyance of the rest of the gang. However things get out of hand when Sheldon realizes Urkel may be smarter then him. DrGriffith Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 I propose the following dialogue for a scene in an episode: For the first time in the morning, Sheldon enters the living room with his hair perfectly in place and he notices at least one other person in the room (aside from Leonard). Leonard: "Good morning." Sheldon (dryly): "Good morning to everyone and you too." Leonard: "Looks like someone slept in your hair last night." Sheldon (starts aggressively pulling his hair upward) and runs toward the bathroom. Realizing that Leonard's statement wasn't true, he walks calmly the rest of the distance to the bathroom while commenting something along the lines of "Now I have to comb my hair 113 times again." (Bathroom door shuts.) Sheldon slowly begins the count: "1 (pause), 2 (pause), 3 (pause) (and this continues...)" The other person says to Leonard: "What's that about?" Leonard: "He counts the number of times he combs his hair perfectly." The other person: "Why 113?" Leonard: "You really don't want to know." (long pause as if the other person is waiting on an answer) "The number of times he perfectly combs his hair has to be a prime number above 110." (Move to another scene) (Returns from other scene) Sheldon (still in bathroom): "107 (pause), 108 (pause) , 109 (pause)" Leonard says to the other person: "Watch this." Sheldon (still in the bathroom): "110 (pause), 111 (pause) , 112 (pause) " Leonard says to Sheldon: "Sheldon, how much money does Raj owe you?" Sheldon (from bathroom): "113 (pause)" Leonard: "Including from last night?" Sheldon (from bathroom): "Oh, you're right. 114. Thanks for reminding me. You're such a dear." Leonard: "I'm glad I could help." Sheldon (from bathroom): "115 (pause) , 116 (pause). Oh, darn! Now I have to go to 127!" (I don't know if this is useful. I just want to make sure the idea has been seen.)
