Funny episode I guess.

Sheldon is not a very convincing model train aficionado. The HO model locomotive was a gp40?

I guess his choice does make sense as the AT&SF was the only class 1 to serve Galveston during his childhood.

As for Howard, I would have been pissed if she had not cut my pancakes. Butter flavored syrup? pfft

(kidding)

I don't get the positive comments. That was the worst yet. I got one laugh in the whole episode. That was Bernadette doing Jewish Mother.

It's like their not the same people anymore. Have to put that down to the new writers not being up to par.

Maybe they could write an episode where Amy is run down by a bus.

I also agree this was not that good of an episode. It feels like the usual sitcom pattern I see. It's start out well, and it's slowly slipping away from the good humor. Sometimes it's obvious when they're trying too hard to make a joke that doesn't work, work. They rely a lot on the way they say it more than what the actual joke is. I'm already feeling that this season will be my least favorite season. But I believe the first ep of season 5 is worst than this, so that's a plus for for me at least.

It's like their not the same people anymore.

Yes, that's very true. I'm believing my love for Sheldon is beginning to disappear. He just sounds more irritating than lovable. Sheldon always reminds me of a little boy but this ep particularly made that stand out more than usual. Not that I mind his boyish charm but this time it sounds like his lines are more forced which I think the writer's are working hard but not enough.

I really enjoyed the show and laughed all the way through. Anyone who didn't is not a real fan and maybe should have watched the X-factor or Charlie's angels.

That's a really stupid thing to say. I dislike the way the show has gone but I don't try to belittle those that still enjoy it, if anything I'm jealous of them.

You can easily say a real fan wouldn't enjoy them degrading the show and characters, it's easy to sling mud.

As for the episode it wasn't terrible but didn't get any laughs from me. Seemed very fragmented with little direction. Sheldon likes trains we know but to have him turn into a 5 year old was just strange. Amy just annoyed me in this episode I'm not normally a Amy hater but she just got on my nerves. Leonard going to the wedding with her seemed forced, if they made up some reason to force him into going it might have worked. But to go from him being uncomfortable just being around her to agreeing to escort her to a wedding was silly.

Penny and Leonard having a touchy feely moment as he got ready for the wedding was again strange, they haven't resolved anything about her and Raj yet so I don't see them being like that.

They need a few episodes with just the main cast getting back to basics.

I really enjoyed it. I didn't laugh as much as usual, but it was still good in my opinion.

I felt good to see the gang (with Penny) eating together again. And talking about the opening see, I didn't even notice Amy was there. When she was left all alone, I was like where did she come from. And when the show ended, I was like is that all? :(

@Threelions I agree it did seem some what fragmented but I think that's because they're trying to keep all the story lines going. And I also agree, a few episodes with the main cast would be great. Though I like how the show has evolved sometimes you just need the “good ole days.â€

Now on to my favorite parts!!!

Bernadette turning into Howard’s mother, LOL. And Howard seeming to have no problems with it.

But the end scene with Sheldon showing a little jealousy was the best part. SHELDON: "She is not for you!"

Uh oh, Sheldon is human!

Sheldon always tries to hide his true feelings. He has told Leonard that he only has him as a roommate because he can't otherwise afford the rent. Yet he has a can full of money and a drawer full of uncashed checks. He says that Amy is not his girlfriend, yet is jealous when she goes out with Leonard. He responded sharply to Leonard's comment last week about him having no genitals.

Haven't read any of the above posts yet to avoid reading spoilers.

Just finished watching this episode and thought it was a good one, specially the 2nd half of it! It was nice seeing them all together in the apartment. I think they tried to show a different side of most all the characters in this one, me liked.

Sheldon and his trains are adorable, when he wears that cap and plays, he is free like a child again imo. Which I thought was a nice change and proved he isn't exactly stuck in his genius mode all the time.

Had to really laugh at the end with Bernadette & Howard's Mum shouting at one another. If she goes ahead and moves in there...Oh my that could cause some hilarity.

Leonard and Amy was awkward at first, but can't wait to see how that will evolve ;)

Sheldon and his model train set was hilarious. The whole situation at Howard's house was funny. Didn't care much for the rest. I'd rate the episode an "ok", since nothing in it really stood out and made me crack up.

I enjoyed this episode overall. I think Bernadette stole the show with her morphing into Howard's mother. I laughed hard at that. Sheldon was a bit weird in this one. I am not fond of his acting like a 5 year old. Don't like it when Raj does it either. These are nerdy but very intelligent men. I think they go too far sometimes.

Not sure where they are going with Amy, but I think she needs to get laid. Are they actually laying the groundwork for her to have a lesbian relationship with someone? Please, not with Penny.

I too was uncomfortable with Penny and Leonard being so chummy. Leonard, after all, still thinks Raj and Penny had coitus in his bed. Oh, well, as we noted before they believe they have put that issue to bed, so to speak. It isn't surprising that they are acting as if it never happened.
