Also I can't find the post but a new member wrote that Sheldon can insult Penny far too easily. She doesn't have the comeback for him.

Oh, she's gotten him a couple of times - the time when he made some pompous remark about how as a physicist he knows pretty much everything about everything and she retorted, "Who's Radiohead?" comes to mind. :D

But ultimately, they are never going to happen as a couple. People, people! Penny is never going to be in a romantic relationship that doesn't involve sex! Sheldon continues to show little to no interest in the matter - and if anyone can get him to change his mind about that, it's Amy.

I like that video because all clips are matched with the words in way. Talks about their life, lonely and ect then the only exception lyrics comes up and shows Shamy xD

I have also posted another Shamy video on a thread I posted its more sad because of the music but perfect for it. :) Its on my cast and Crew - Thread - Jim Parsons Gangnam stlye.

And when Penny slipped in the shower, Sheldon peeked and held her breast too long because he has son/brotherly feelings towards her. Muahaha And he's always generous with money towards her and never suggests going dutch.

Sheldon's model is Spock, someone who has emotions/sexuality but represses them. That's the fun and comedy,...If they do a Shenny type dream/fantasy show & it's a ratings hit, then it's a definite. If not then no....Doug put it at 1 in 3. I agree.

Uhhuh, a man with an eidetic memory and skillful hands that can play myriad games, knows what he's doing and the hero always peaks :icon_twisted:

I see Sheldon going through his adolescence now & Amy is a safe gf, it's dating yourself. Not very scary. He pretty much can handle her. Penny is for when he's ready.

AMY FARRAH FOWLER IS NOBODY'S TRAINING WHEELS! SHE'S TOO FABULOUS!

sorry, I had to say it. Amy is as good as Penny, why should she just be the "warm up?" because she doesn't have experience? Penny might have a lot of experience, but that doesn't make her better. If anything, it makes it worst, because all of that "experience" has led her nowhere, while Amy Farrah Fowler hit a homerun in her first attempt.

Also, with Amy's knowledge of the nervous system, he's in for a treat

And yeah, he touched her boob... so? he never made a big deal out of it, and when a man doesn't make a big deal out of something like that is because he didn't feel anything special. He touched her boob and it didn't cause him anything. He said to Leonard: "relax, it was just her bottom and her breast" as if it was nothing. And yet, a couple of episodes later, we have him fantasizing about Amy's pale shoulders.

On the other hand, he made a big deal out cuddling and of grabbing Amy's hand.

30+ years old and going through adolescence? Not even close. Sheldon's previous disinterest in sex or relationships had nothing to do with development. It was all about attraction and motivation. Two things Penny did not, and still does not supply. Whereas Amy provides Sheldon with an abundance of both.

Who's a cornhusker? Anyone here? Anyone?

Man-hands? Corn-fed?

Okay, so Sheldon "touched" Penny's boob and peeked. I don't remember him being MESMERIZED by the experience, especially with the way he casually talked about it in The Werewolf Transformation episode. Funny that we are reminded five episodes later that a vixen from Glendale has tamed him. Come on, with the simple prospect of IMAGINING Amy's pale, slightly hunched shoulders (that he even tried to freaking REACH OUT AS IF HE WAS CURIOUS TO KNOW HOW IT WOULD FEEL LIKE UNDER HIS TOUCH), he's already like that. What more if the girl took off her tights or showed off her collarbone?

Also, LoveShamy, I'm glad you like my video. :icon_twisted:

I said they had a brother/sister or mother/son TYPE relationship I did not say they was like incest...

He wasn't holding on to her breast because he wanted to cop a feel. That's something that one of the other guys would have done. While he was touching her boob he thought it was her arm. It wasn't until Penny pointed it out that he put two and two together that it didn't really feel like an arm, and then he let it go.

And though he peeked (at her butt, not her boobs), he wasn't interested, other than in the fact that she had the symbol for "soup" on her butt.

He was completely uninterested in her nudity.

Just because he lent Penny money once doesn't mean that he's doing it on a regular basis. He constantly complains about her freeloading on their dinner and their wifi, and he doesn't go Dutch with her because he doesn't go out to dinner with her.

Amy is the one he thinks about affectionately at inappropriate times, not Penny. As far as they have ever shown or hinted at, he's never had any thoughts about Penny at any time.

And when he did ask her out, it was only because he wanted to make Amy jealous or try to win her back from Stuart.

Sheldon has had plenty of opportunities to break up with Amy, but each time he has chosen to do whatever it takes to keep her, to claim her.

He's NOT INTERESTED IN PENNY.

If he ever has a sex dream, it will be about Amy.

The Disneyland episode in particular is the prime example of why these two will never be a couple. The way Leonard and Penny were arguing about him was exactly like parents arguing about custody arrangements of their child. :)

I see this as an example of the joke comes first.

The scene breaks down if you look beyond the joke.

Shoot they even sort of have Howard and Raj comment on it.

I see this also as the Joke comes first.

You are right in saying that if you look beyond the joke this almost can not happen by accident.

I am not a fan of the term but if forced I would say more of a Betty and Veronica situation.

I agree with phantagree 100%!

This is the last thing I`m writing in this thread:
And here are my 10 reasons why Penny and Sheldon will never ever become a couple:

1) she doesn`t find him atractive at all
2) she doesn`t have a Phd like him
3) he always mocks her carreer
4) he´s not interested in her at all
5) she threads him like he´s her nephew/son
6) he doesn`t wanna impress her and neither does she
7) none of them feels comfortable around the other one (Penny doesn`t feel comfortable around Sheldon and neither does he)
8 )it would ruin the show if they would become a couple
9) all actors (esp. Kaley Cuoco) and the producers say it will never happen and esp. Kaley thinks this shipping of them is disgusting
10) Amy is Sheldons girl!

And I feel very sorry for the cast esp. Kaley Couco and the producers that they have to explain that its just a disgusting suggestion (Penny & Sheldon as couple) I totally understand that if someone like BIll Prady is just sick and tired to hear/read such posts on Twitter like " Please make Penny and Sheldon a couple!" I mean why are those people who ship Penny and Sheldon so puzzled when they got a snarky or harsh answer to that toppic because they don`t get that they annoy others like Bill Prady with such stuff thats it.

Thats all I have to say.

About Kaley saying she is disgusted... I've read somewhere how they were discussing that maybe Kaley is just saying that she is "disgusted" to "please" her bosses because it would be a career killer if she "admitted" she actually approves of Sheldon/Penny. But we don't really know so I would control myself and simply saw that it's only their opinion.

About the writers being snarky whenever they have to dismiss a Shenny suggestion: I actually saw tumblr posts before of someone being proud at how she was on a campaign to tweet Prady every day to make Shenny happen. Also, I think there was a time when there were a group of Shenny shippers who were on this campaign to tweet Prady something. I didn't know what really were their tweets but I think they were all in some sort of protest(?) or something when they did it.

Just earlier, I was chatting with my cousin who is a casual TBBT fan but is not the type who goes into forums and such. We talked about the existence of fanon ships and that she was, like any fan from outside the forums and online discussions, was totally surprised. I mean, when I let her watch episode 6.02, she made me pause the video for a moment to tell me "my god the chemistry between Sheldon and Amy is off the charts" and that she even asked me if Jim's bisexual because she thought Jim should actually be paired up with Mayim in real life. I crushed her suggestion after mentioning that she's married with 3 kids and that Jim is with Todd. But that's another story. Anyway, she told me that the problem that she sees here with regards to some fans getting disappointed that Shenny isn't happening to the point that they aren't even aware how they are now harassing the writers is that one day the writers (or TBTP in general) might get so annoyed they might shut down production. I told her that might be possible but very unlikely because there are other factors to consider for a show to end or get cancelled and with this money-making machine they have now, then simply ignore the fan suggestions. Another one she saw is that there might be a fan out there who might be so frustrated to the point that she might kill herself. If ever that happens (it's possible but I'm not sure how likely this might be since there are fans who kill themselves from other fandoms), TBTP might cancel the show because of moral obligations and such.

i don't know.

Well, I saw posts some time ago of some Shenny shippers who wanted to organize a "protest" at ComicCon to claim the Shenny to happen. And yeah, I've seen the constant tweets to Bill Prady saying stuff like "you are blind, you are ruining the show by not doing Shenny", "you are wasting Jim & Kaley's talent on the show","you don't know what you've got on Shenny", etc. If I was Bill and I was getting those tweets every.single.day I would be very annoyed too. But then Bill asks them to stop and blocks them, and the one who's "rude" is Bill *frustrated sigh*

The worst to me though, was some time after Mayim joined the cast, some stupid asses (because I don't even want to call them Shenny shippers, those were just a***holes) who would post in Mayim's facebook stuff like, "please go away from the show. Bring on Shenny!" or "you're runining it, Sheldon & Penny forever" and stupid stuff like that. I mean for goodness gracious I wanted to kick them over my computer.

Some people just go too far and don't undestand how much this stuff can backfire.

I'm ok with people wanting them together, to each their own. But when that crosses the pushy/rude/plain crazy line, it's just too much.

About Mayim's facebook page--the reminds me that I had read something in one of her posts in that Kvell blog she sometimes does something about her facebook page and how she was kind of backing away from that at least partly because of a lot of negative posts on her page.

Geez, I wonder now if that's what it was--how could anyone be so rude?! People think think they can say whatever they want on the internet and to get so stupid over characters on a TV show that you insult a real person in real life--there are no words. That's so hateful and ignorant for all the wrong reasons.

If circumstances were different on the show, I could kind of understand people wanting to give TPTB a nudge this direction or that direction, but in the end the writers/producers will tell the stories they want to tell and a bunch idiots throwing temper tantrums on the internet isn't going to change their minds--and will probably even backfire in the end.

And insulting the actors/actresses on the show is the most childish thing of all and probably the least likely thing to accomplish what they want.

Who would want to please such people??

Internet campaigning is the popular thing to do these days, and I think that in certain circumstances it can show a network or a studio that there are fans out there for a certain product, but no one likes to be spammed over something stupid like this.

Idiots.
