I am so fine with an Uhura/young Spock progeny but Sheldon then would have to be an albino; so it's Spock Prime for sure.

Sheldon is so far from Spock that the comparison is absurd. Only Sheldon himself would ever imagine any sort of similarities between the two. Truthfully, Sheldon is the antithesis of Spock. He is childish, vain and frequently emotionally unstable. His OCD traits are totally un-Spock-ish, as is his refusal to recognize and overcome them. Spock may be who Sheldon aspires to emulate but there is no discipline applied to actually manifesting any true resemblance to the Vucan himself.

Sheldon 2.0 is in fact well on his way to becoming Mr. Bean...

Hmm, last episode Sheldon mentioned he might have to let Amy go; the very next episode he said she might leave him....wonder if this is a hint for the future. The writers just could have had Sheldon giving Amy a strike. Interesting.

Sure. No doubt this is all subtle preparation for the realization of the long awaited Shenny. Penny is also giving sly clues which are easily picked up on by the astute observer. Clearly she is not going back to school to impress Leonard. It is Sheldon that would be bowled over by her new community college acheivements. Her hinting that she is less than thrilled by her relationship with Leonard is a clue that she has her eye set on the giant Praying Mantis. The self identification of her bad waitressing is just the first step toward realizing she needs a new career. Perhaps she can become the assistant to Dr. Wackadoodle. We know that she has gone as long as six months without sex. No doubt this is training for her celibate life with the libido killer himself.

Perhaps this can all work out in time for the December 20 episode. Seems fitting since so many folks think the world will end the next day... :icon_eek:

Sheldon is not going to break up with Amy nor is Penny going to brak up with Leonard. If in the very unlikely and far out event that it should happen, there is no way that Penny would get together with Sheldon.

Ya know what would be a real handy smiley, especially in this forum? A smiley holding a sarcasm sign.

Hewolf:

He is childish, vain and frequently emotionally unstable.{Sheldon] Have you actually met a genius or child prodigy? The closest I came was a 15 year old freshman at my uni. He was a sweetheart but ignored and ostracized by all his fellow science students who hated him for being younger and smarter. My humanities girlfriends and I made friends with him. One of his favourite pastimes was telling really bad Polish jokes. And yes they are vain for a very good reason - no one is smarter.

Clearly she is not going back to school to impress Leonard. Since Penny merely said that she was a few credits short of graduating and gave no other reason, your assumption is frankly sexist.

For sarcasm I suggest using this :S it's the one for sceptical but serves.

Also, you forgot to mention that when Sheldon said Penny sounded just like Leonard what HE REALLY meant was I love her and we are running away together.

Yes, I have been 'fortunate' enough to encounter one of these individuals. Your description is extremely accurate and on point. However, my observation is that these qualities make Sheldon as dissimilar to Spock as he could possible be.

1. Penny is going back to school for reasons unknown to us. It is not to further her career at the Cheesecake Factory or as an actress since neither of these fields require a degree in any academic discipline.

2. Your second assertion is invalid and insipid as you have no knowledge of my motivations for making the statement contained in my post. For you to dismiss my comment as being sexist because I am a man is, in fact, sexism on your part.

:S

Penny has said she is only a few credits short of graduating? When did she say that?

Unless she was going to community college on a semi regular basis before she met Leonard and living with Kurt (in her timeline, ages 17 to 21) I don't know how she did that. And she has demonstrated her education is pretty pitiful.

She said that about being a few credits short in the episode.

Just rewatched the episide and what Penny said to Amy and Bernie was:

"It's just one History class. Look, I didn't finish college so I thought I would give it a try."

What she said to Leonard:

"I have been thinking of going back to school for a while now, so a couple of months ago I started taking a History class at the community college."

It was Leonard who made a big deal about it, as expected, making plans to take the one class to full enrollment in CC and transfer of credits to a four year university.

In the second season opener, Penny never mentioned how much course work she completed, only telling Sheldon she was a CC dropout. I can't find out where she states how close she is to getting a two year degree.

thanks for that correction BangerMain; Penny is smart but ill-educated and was unmotivated. Maybe she is/isn't the scholarly sort. Yeah I thought it was funny when Leonard said 'I've done a very bad thing' so in character. Remember when Penny beat him at chess and he refused to say she won.
