Pomita
My favourite Raj scenes are with Sheldon. When they are trying to figure out the psychics problem in The Pirate Solution, to the song 'eye of the tiger' and when they have a massive row and Raj blows a raspberry. Also The Psychic Vortex when Raj tries to get Sheldon to go out to a mixer and when they do they both pull. Sheldon says "If outside is so good, why has mankind spent thousands of years trying to perfect inside?" Raj "I don’t know, it’s a marketing scheme." He's better when he's riled up or part of a double act in my opinion. Hi-5! Pirate Solution ties for my favorite Season 3 episode, and that's saying a lot. Raj and Sheldon together - either as friends or adversaries - is comedy gold. I can never get over his finger-wiggle defeat of Sheldon, and the Brobdingnagian desk. :D Me too Its such a great episode and I like Raj showing some intelligence. He can be a bit wet sometimes. Yes, I like him most when he's being wickedly funny and outwitting Sheldon (or pulling Leonard's leg, like in Engagement Reaction). That Raj is so much more interesting than the pathetic self-pitying one. Though I have to give it to him, his dialogue at the end of Weekend Vortex was masterful! djvang
I like Raj and wish they'd use him more. They have to find a way to get past the "can't talk with women around" thing. It's run its course.
SydNC
I like Raj and wish they'd use him more. They have to find a way to get past the "can't talk with women around" thing. It's run its course. I agree with that. I wonder what happened to him to make him that way? Would like to hear more about his past. I get a little sick of Raj whispering for a half second into Howard's ear, then Howard repeats some 10 second thing Raj supposedly just said. I like Raj at times, but sometimes I find his demeanor and actions to just be straight up cruel and mean. Picking at your friends is one thing, but when one of your friends gives you a job so you don't have to be deported, I don't think putting in a huge desk to purposefully piss him off is a proper way to say thank you. As for Amy, she has her moments. Her current fetish for Penny is just boring and lame. It's 50/50 if I like her or not. If they wrote her off the show, I'd be ok with it and keep watching. If they keep her on, I will still watch, unless they keep making her too much of a comic book character.
Moon_Pie
I like Raj too...he should have more lines in the show. I don't know why they're pushing him away.
garyp
Actually, I would think Raj should come out of the closet. The comedic possibilities with a "boyfriend" for Raj are endless. He could go back and forth between the social group of ladies forming around Penny and the social group around Leonard. Of course, in this PC world we live in such comedy would raise too many protests. Look at the comments regarding Amy's relationship to Penny. FriendComputer
I think Raj is hopelessly "metro", but definately not gay. It wouldn't change the show much if they sent him in that direction, but they just haven't written him up as a "still in the closet" kind of guy. Remember, he's slept with a few girls...and he still pursues them with vehemence (ignoring his selective mutism here). Remember how he acts when he's drunk? Were his a closet gay, his true side would likely emerge and be much more obvious... instead, he turns into a somewhat charismatic/somewhat blowhard lecherous lout... he totally loses his metro side, in fact. Actually, that would tend to suggest that the metro bit is just an act as well. hmmmm

His obnoxiousness when drunk could be overcompensation for his gay side. He could "discover" his own gayness after denying it for many years. The comedic possibilities of that one are wide open. I've watched the entire series from the pilot just recently. As far as I can remember he's only actually slept with one girl, the one from Penny's party. Other than that there was the incident with Penny that never got off the ground.

stephanie
Well, we had two weeks of Amy-downtime and I quite enjoyed it. I always felt like she shouldn't be in every freaking episode, a little goes a long way. But it's too late to remove her from the show anyway, unless the writers are in for a fan war. EddieMcNugget
get rid of Amy ! she is annoying and inconsistent with the role she's supposed to play. Less of Amy and more of the original hopeless gang.
chip
The show has to grow or it will die or stagnate...Amy is a wonderful nerdy character and I am glad Mayim is on the show playing her. I do like her on the show, her role needs help it seems a bit forced a bit unnatural. I think they should show her with her hair down more often the ones they did was just funny. The few true nerds I have known over the years when they "cut loose" did in a big way. One of the smartest nerdiest guy I ever meet came up with the slickest way to install huge very heavy Air handler compressors in a building that we could not get a crane into. these things were 40 foot long 10 foot wide way to big for our two heavy lift fork lifts. His Idea dry ice formed in blocks we just pushed all four compressors in place over the bolt down spots. a slot was formed in the dry ice to fit over the bolt wait for the dry ice to melt then bolt it down. In short genus , and at a cost of four Million bucks apiece and normal way of installing took a month we did it it in a day. BIG payday..... it is not often I have got a bonus that big so we had to drag Lester to our local strip club and celebrate. Lester had never had a drink before in his life or been to any place like this ever. He sure made up for last time fast. That night is still legion cops were called fire department its a good thing I stopped early just so I could bail everyone out. And the last thing I heard Lester is still married to the striper and they have six kids..... Chip
Infinite Sheldon
I would rather Amy wasn't Sheldon's girlfriend because I don't want the 'inevitable' to happen and I don't think Sheldon should have a girlfriend anyway. She also shouldn't be a main character. But they can still be friends with less Amy in person and more Skyping. She can also still have her infatuation with Penny when she's around. I would not complain if Amy left the show completely so I voted 'should leave' because at least then a storyline would write her out rather than just fading slowly away with a lousy or no explanation. alisaperne
I think Amy and Bernadette should stay in the show. There should be something new in the story in order the show to progress. I also miss the five of them only but we can't just be contented just them, there should be changes and new characters to make the show more interesting. We should be optimistic about their decision.I'm not a big fan of Amy and Bernadette but they're ok and don't worry the show is still number one and the characters are great! Just try to be optimistic and enjoy the show.

Bazinga_73
I have to disagree. I really love Amy, and I think she brings out a side of Sheldon that is refreshing to see. I am convinced that Sheldon and Amy are soulmates, especially after watching the 'Fun with Flags' episode, and I hope she sticks around for a long time. I totally second that, CarlyJane19...Amy and Bernadette should both stay on the show...Especially Amy, though....She is helping us all to see a side of Sheldon that likely would never have materialized if she wasn't an official cast member...I love seeing this side of Sheldon and he does deserve to be happy (not just content) in his life and suffice to say, Amy makes him happy
Superlovelexi
Amy must stay on the show she makes Sheldon happier and funnier! Her relationship with him is IMO far more interesting than any other relationship on the show because its so unique from most relationships you see on TV. Howard and Bernadette are married now so it make no sense for her to leave either unless they both did and frankly that would suck because then we'd also likely lose Howard's mother too and all three of them are funny. For me it's more interesting than almost any relationship I've ever seen on-screen. It's just such an odd, off-the-wall connection, and yet clearly deep and (in their own way) romantic. This is really the first time in my life I've had any kind of 'shipping' feeling for fictional characters.. I tried to resist for a long time, but somewhere around 'you're a vixen, Amy Farrah Fowler' and 'you're like a sexy toddler', Pasadena's favorite power couple won me over.
