Johnny Galecki "Leonard" always stares off into space when he speaks...

I warn you, once you're aware of this, it will be hard to watch Leonard talk, I know he's short, but when he talks he never looks directly at the person, he Squints and stares off into space, its Very Annoying to watch him.

I like Leonard. He's basically doing a Jack Benny impersonation.

Oh, my, someone who remembers Jack Benny. Are you really old enough, like me, or just smart and well read? Jack Benny was one of the great ones. He could destroy an audience with a simple look and a gesture and never say a word. Leonard - Jack Benny - Leonard - Jack Benny, you might have a point there. He does use the stunned expression well.

He was before my time but I've seen lots of clips of him. The hand on the side of the face and the exasperated "Now cut that out!" are right from Jack Benny to Leonard. He does it well.

I don't think he stares off into space... I see it as looking up!

I know he's shorter than other characters but I even watched Roseanne episodes to see if he looks up, and he didn't. but yeah, when he's talking, he kinda stares up and away.

His roommate has dozens of the most annoying idiosyncrasies imaginable, to the point fans and the actor speculate if he suffers from neurological disorders.

And people are letting another actor's interpretation of his insecure character's line of sight when he speaks intrude on their enjoyment of the show?

I'd rathe have Leonard look up and slightly away 1,000 more times than to hear Sheldon's explanation of "his spot", the windows, the draft, the tv angle... One more time.

He's reading off of cue cards because he can't memorize his lines.

Yeah, this is false.  I've been to two tapings and there weren't any cue cards in sight.  All the actors have mentioned having, at times, their scripts handy, (or Jim having all his note cards in his pocket) like under cushions, behind cushions, in drawers, in refrigerators or stoves, behind different pieces of furniture, etc. to use in between takes. But, there aren't any cue cards.

Yeah, I've never heard of them needing cue cards.
