Moonbase Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Agreed, the baffling science talk is part of the charm. I prefer the old skinny, mellower, know-it-all Sheldon myself. JP is still fantastic to watch, but Sheldon is now a little larger than life, if you know what I mean. I'm still enjoying the show because, let's face it, when he's onscreen it's difficult to take your eyes off the guy.
Moonbase Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Just to clarify my 'larger than life' comment wasn't about his muscles but his persona. Anyways, I have some fear over what they might do with Sheldon, even though some change is good.
Europa Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 This is one of my favorite episodes. The bit where Leonard goes "into the future" and they all do the fast-forward movements around the room makes me laugh every single time. :D Whatever happened to the time machine? They never show how/where they got rid of it.
rachelshamyfan Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 Sheldon was right to call Penny a hypocrit with all her toys she has!
vasu Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 (edited) My all time favorite TBBT episode I might have watched this like about 50 times ....I can almost remember the entire dialogues(even sheldon's ) Perfect utilization of the characters, everyone shines in this episode... with the top 3 S/L/P in full flow and H/R chipping in with some great one-liners (Talk about your chick magnets :D) Leonard is as endearing as ever , Sheldon is great as good friend to Leonard, and Penny is very sweet by admitting she was wrong and being kind to Leonard (the little kiss on the cheek was just too cute ) The moral of the story that it is not the nerdy habits that define Leonard but what a good person he is was excellent. Leonard dream sequence was both funny and quite realistic which made it double more fun to watch Sheldon's dream though not quite realistic but kind of points that the Time Machine will be gone for the next episode (very clever way ) And the scene where Leonard starts the time machine and rest of guys start moving very fast was just brilliant... There was not even a single blemish in the entire episode All in all IMO this was one of the best / best installments of this show Edited December 30, 2012 by vasu
Ayebee Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 "Yeah, it's too big, that's the problem" Sheldon says sarcastically. I love that scene

Stephen Hawking Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 Has anyone else noticed that, Sheldon arrives in the year 802,701 on a different date, to the one when George arrived?
JohnPhD Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 Small points: Inthe first scene Howard is wearing a green shirt I thought was OK. Very rare any of the guys wear clothes that aren't ghastly. Also that's at least Sheldon's 3rd set of matching dressing gown and pajamas. The lift has been broken for 2 years gives time to The Staircase Implementation which was when Leonard moved in w Sheldon. I would have thought Howard would have preferred the 2nd version of The Time Machine with Samantha Mumba in the chain-mail blouse. serena_1995 Posted October 28, 2017 Posted October 28, 2017 (edited) There is a great dialogue in this episode. When Leonard is about give up his Time Machine because Penny called it pathetic and childish, Sheldon called out Penny : Little Miss “grown ups don’t play with toys”. If I were to go into that apartment right now, would I find Beanie Babies? Are you not an accumulator of Care Bears and My Little Ponies? And who is that Japanese feline I see frolicking on your shorts? Hello,Hello Kitty! i thought Sheldon had a point. We all enjoy to some extent "immature" stuff and have child-like traits or hobbies. Penny did too with her stuffed animals. I thought TBBT captured a good sentiment early on , in the show. Another very funny Penny line: "it looks like something elton john would drive through the everglades" Edited October 28, 2017 by serena_1995
3ku11 Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 Wasen't this episode called The Nerdvanna Annihaltion? In any case top 5 best episode ever from this series to this day. That sequence when the guys were playing out that time machine going back in time. Was one of the all time classic moments in TV history.
