I can recall a specific picture in which Jim is sprawled over his piano, looking intense.

< hyper-ventilating > Oh yeah, we know..

...and he can play that as I'm sure you know. Dang, too much talent.

I do. Because I'm a walking, talking Jim encyclopedia. :icon_redface:

earthcake - yes, exactly. Those Jim pictures were meant to be in empathy with your Johnny feelings. :)

Aw.. Jim looking so perfect with Kristin there. All sweet and shy and 'perfect suit body'.

I'm a big fan but I'm always surprised how much you know about Jim. More obsessed than me. :icon_cheesygrin:

That woman is crawling all over him, balance problem... ? ... sure

Excuse me... We are three :icon_mrgreen: I love him too...

I was so depressed, when I saw him at the begining of Season 4 (I could not help thinking that I was watching Michael Jackon ... I was so skinny...):icon_confused:

___________

About Kristin... There are an interveiw, after this event... She didn't let him answer any question... (She did the same thing with Neil Patrick Harris ... once they read an Emmy Nominations ...)

In between the end of season 3 and start of 4 Jim was playing theatre about people who had aids which explains the very skinny look at the start but at least it did not take long to look healthy again :)

He said in an interview he got too thin because he was addicted to running. Did it every day. Am I right, Pomita? :icon_lol:

@Ely a big fan

Sorry, three of us then. :icon_mrgreen:

He used to be a little puffy when he was younger because he used to like a drink. He gave that up and was thin when he started the show. I can't remember what interview it is where he talks about the running but he looked like a skeleton onscreen, very scrawny. :icon_eek: I thought he was ill or stressed but someone posted a video on this thread with the info so thats how I found out. He thought he was too thin and didn't like it, so stopped. It looks like he took up resistance exercise instead.

She also had a small part in "You again" - she was the dance teacher :)

Thanks for that yummy pic :)...lots of new members i see...welcome all!!

PS: i really missed you guys! Hello!

welcome back ,the forum has missed you!:icon_lol:

Moonbase - that's right. :D (And believe you me, there are fans around more obsessed and more knowledgeable than even us!

He mentioned quite recently (on his last Letterman interview in May) about his temporary fixation with running and over-exercise. He was clearly talking about the time of early season 4, when he had started looking skeletal (in fact he said 'I didn't like the way I looked'). So he later got his exercising under control.

This actually had nothing to do with his appearance in TNH, which was after season 4 - he looked quite healthy at that time, and he didn't play the role of an AIDS patient, though the play was about the early years of the AIDS epidemic.

Ely - point noted. But it's really not 'the three of us', more like 'the thousands of us'. :)

Yes welcome back Moon_pie, the originator of this great photo thread. :icon_cheesygrin:

You know the funny thing is that basically all of a sudden the forums were filled with questions about why we all thought Jim was so thin, most thought as I did perhaps it was stress, some mentioned he had dental surgery, but then lo and behond Jim goes on Letterman and explains why he got so thin. Coincidence? :fi_lone_ranger: yes I know they are not allowed to read forums etc.

I have enjoyed viewing the pictures in this thread. Thank you to all who have contributed.

Some of you were asking about Kristin Chenowith - she was in ABC's "Pushing Up Daisies" a few seasons ago and most recently ABC's "GCB." She is very, very talented. And an absolute hoot.

I don't think it is that they are "not allowed". Mayim has said that she does read forums & fans opinions on the internet, and it shows, since she is pretty much aware of everything, you can notice on her interviews. On some early interviews when she was just starting on the show, she said things like "I know there is a part of the fanbase who doesn't like Amy", or "I know some people want Sheldon alone or with someone else", etc.

Jim has said that he doesn't because he doesn't want to know all the bad things they might say about him, and that he is afraid to find someone saying he has a "fat ass", LOL and that's why he doesn't search himself or looks for comments.

Most established actors don't read opinions on the internet themselves, but their publicists and assistants do. They need to keep an eye on anything that could be harmful to their careers.

Kunal recently tweeted that he read some of the comments on his own youtube interviews and they made him sad. He's not making that mistake again.

And I agree the artist themselves shouldn't read comments, as it will surely affect their acting skills, trying to live up to opinions that shouldn't even matter! We came to like them/ their acting like it was before that situation...As soon as someone is aware of how they are perceived in their fans eyes, that will be a sure buzz kill to the acting skills they have.

Only very few seem to be able to do that without it affecting them.

I saw Kunal's tweet & thought right away "Now why have you gone & done that....:(" That tweet even read sadness.....

Oh and to stay somewhat on topic.....:icon_mrgreen: Hope it wasn't posted before

LOL, I remember that comment. Jim certainly has a unique way of putting things. :D

I think it's likely that many celebrities follow forums and internet comments about themselves, though I agree it's probably a better idea to get a publicist to do it. Saves quite a lot of emotional stress. I used to feel so bad for Mayim when she said in interviews about how people dislike her character, don't consider her attractive etc - no-one should have to go through that. But unfortunately it's somewhat inevitable on the internet.

Jacks - thanks for posting that pic, in which Jim looks maniacally happy with Nimoy's autograph. Or is that supposed to be Sheldon? :)
