5.21 The Hawking Excitation (Apr. 5)

Although I rated this episode as excellent, because it was, I should have rated it just a notch below. I was hoping to see some interaction with Howard and Stephen Hawking. If Hawking doesn't appear in another episode, I'm sure there will be some sort of news reference to him concerning the gears that Howard didn't replace on his wheel chair.

I think a majority of the users aren't actually in the US, and are in Europe/ Australia. Everyone has to wait until "tomorrow" to watch it.

I was hoping Sheldon would hug Howard. Excellent episode, I've always loved the "friendship" between Sheldon and Howard.Rated it excellent, it would be one that I would watch again and again. Loved the "pit crew" line from Leonard. I would have said a little more emotional growth from Sheldon, but I don't think he really learnt anything.

I voted Okay. That was solely based on the scene with Sheldon and Hawking. The rest of the show was a waste of time. Yes, Howard got even with Sheldon for his condescension. Not that Sheldon learned anything from it. It wasn't funny. Sheldon in a maid's costume? Penny's small bit with Sheldon was cute. Good job for Kaley this week. $250k for what, maybe 10 lines. At least Penny and Sheldon still produce good comedy together.

Actually I have to say, Johnny really doesn't get much to say in the episode either. When they come up for pay renewal (if they extend beyond 2014) you would have to say that Jim would have a very strong case for more money than the others, Simon is getting more airtime than both Johnny and Kaley at the moment.

I rated the episode as being good.

Was good to see some Howard/ Sheldon scenes again, although I thought Howard went to far with having Sheldon wear the French maid costume...it was humiliating. Seeing that Sheldon would do about anything to get his paper handed to Hawking, doesn't mean one should do that to a friend. But then again my definition of friendship might be different

I agreed with Bernadette about Sheldon not realizing that he is being mean towards people & loved the remark about that part of his brain getting a wedgie from the rest of his brain.

The belt buckle thing was fun & I thought he was rightfully asking for a compliment about his work...

The helping get Howard's mum clothes I thought was far fetched & also condescending..And contradicted the fact that Bernadette was lecturing Howard about treating Sheldon that way as she was the one that suggested it

Sheldon's excitement solely on the realization that his paper was gonna be handed to Hawking was great acting on JP's part. Was fun to see him sprint from the kitchen to the couch Hahaha

Also like the Penny/ Sheldon interaction in the laundry room & the fact that Penny stood up & told him the truth about him being a condescending jerk.

Was great to hear that Stephen Hawking was able to que his own lines

And that Howard gave the paper earlier was a good thing as that shows Howard didn't hold any real grudge against Sheldon, when it really counts

Enjoyed the episode and enjoyed the "chores" Shelson had to do to meet Hawking. But just as soon as it was apparent that Sheldon would do anything, I told my wife that if Howard was any kind of friend to Amy, he should tell him that he (Sheldon) and Amy would have to have sex first. Then we'd really see how far Sheldon would have gone to meet him. Guess that's a little too "American Pie" comedy. In all honesty, with the terrible ALS that Hawking has, and you know from pictures what to expect, but his apprearance (how he looked, not be there) still freaked me out.

Being that I was one of the people thinking what happened at the end of S4 was a thing that would be unforgivable within a friendship, I would get upset by what happened in yesterdays episode....

I personally think that simon is just as good as the main three. I really enjoy scenes with sheldon and howard - it reminds me some of the scenes with sheldon and penny.

It occurred to me while watching the episode that both Leonard and Penny had comparably small roles in the last two episodes. I wonder if the writers are trying to downplay their characters somewhat since IMO in the past the series has been primarily built around their relationship. Perhaps they would like to start easing that to the background in the stories.

The first thing that Howard did when he got the paper was give it to Hawking, before he started jerking Sheldon around. To me he took care of his friend first then started playing jokes on him. Friends do that although the french maid outfit to work was over the line IMO. Howard may not be the type of guy that I would have for a friend, but he is Sheldon's friend.

Have you noticed that either Kaley has a big part in the episode or a small one like this for the season? but it's 250k for an episode not x amount for x amount of lines so she gets paid the same.

I liked this weeks episode.

Howard's Hawking impersonation was much better back in the pilot, but I still got a giggle.

Not a brilliant ep, but much better than last week's effort.

For one raj didn't screw over penny and Leonard it takes two to tango or almost tango, but Leonard looked confused than anything and yeah Sheldon is a boob guy, but I don't know what Amy looks like with all the layers she has on.

I have to admit that sheldon in the maid outfit was histerical to me. And, they have put the guys in weird costumes before, so I don't think they were sinking or anything by doing this. And, maybe howard went over the line, and I did feel sorry for sheldon, but goodness, it was funny as ****. And comedy is the main point of the show, so I feel like they hit the mark here.

And as far as the boobs go, maybe Amy will wear something soon that will be sexy and show off her boobs and sheldon will have a hard time not looking. Sorry, I am a fan of the Shamy and I have been thinking about what might happen with them, especially now that the season is coming to an end!

Amy is NOT an attractive woman. But then I don't see any of the men as being particularly handsome either. My objection to the Amy character is not her looks, it's her creepy personality.

I can't even put into words how good I thought this episode was. I loved it. So funny and both sheldon and howard were awesome. Yes, I felt sorry for sheldon, but I think it was right in character for howard, plus in the end, you see that howard gave hawkings the paper anyway. It's not very often that the guys have something on sheldon, so it was interesting to see them in power for once.

I loved all of the jokes, and the timing and the facial expressions, everything was perfect. Hawkings was funny in the end and sheldon's fainting was perfect. Loved everything.

Yeah, Sheldon's been unwittingly putting Howard down for a good long while now. He just got a little of his own back. Not that it seems like it's going to have any lasting effect on Sheldon.
